daftada
Announcement of Raven Blade and a true DK game.I also hope Konami will announce a Ganbare Goemon on wii (Impact Battle + wiimote and nunchuk = uber-fun). Excellent idea, give that man a burrito! I'd love to see Pikmin 3 and Animal Crossing in '08. Plus: F-Zero is a must A new DKC game with rare on board Banjo kazooie and Goldeneye on VC Mario RPG and Earthbound given PAL releases on VC A new (proper) Tales game (i'd even settle for Abyss tbh) A new RPG from Monolith A Mario Party best-of compilation with online options (to send off the series) Factor 5 on Wii Outrun 3 exclusive to Wii (I can hope...) Some brand new action IPs from Nintendo themselves (they must have lots of teams spare now the big Mario and Zelda games are out of the way)

Columnar
What I would like on Wii in '08 would be a new 'OutRun', either a new proper 'Resident Evil' or a remake of number 2, 'Pikmin 3', 'Eternal Darkness 2' would be nice as well, as maybe a PAL conversion of 'Baten Kaitos Origins' (but on Wii like how HM: Magical Melody is coming) and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD 'Burnout Wii'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jamba
A few VERY important things for me in 2008 please: Prompt international release for games from Nintendo Europe. I can't stress how pathetic their business is and Nintendo definitely have the money to invest in more and better staff. Getting it fucking sorted. We get screwed on 3rd party games that get published by them over here, like Trauma Centre. Developers (inluding Nintendo in some cases) not being afraid to give us games that are a whole package. A fully fleshed out experience that has been developed without a "one foot out of the door" stance. Much of this will however change with the ageing of the Wii. Original graphic styles. A new game from Monolith (of AVP2, Condemned and FEAR fame) but lets face it, they deserve the top end of graphics because they actually know how to use it well. Gooooo LithTech! A game that really shows off how the engine used for Oblivion works for Wii. Creation of middleware companies to create input programming for the Wii. If it is as difficult a task as it seems to be then specialists are needed. And as Hellfire said.... FUN
Pit-Jr
since were dreaming, i basically just want Nintendo to consult me when deciding on what software to develop and release
tapedeck
Nice suggestions people It seems we all want MORE effort from 3rd parties and for Nintendo to bust out the classics with Wii-motion elements. Fair enough. Nintendo have a good enough track record and emotional draw for us to buy their franchises all over again. And weve obviously got enough confidence that the Wii can bring new elements to existing franchises. I'm hoping Nintendo keep suprising us in whatever they do. Be it an indirect sequel or not. It seems with the Brain Training/Zelda/ Mario series that we aren't suprised as much as we used to be. Maybe this seems to stem from a lot of internet influence (as we know about things much earlier than we used to). Yet I hope we keep seeing suprising "spin-offs" along the lines of Wario Ware. Now Retro are finished with Metroid I'd like to see what other entertainment forms they will start looking at. (Thunder Rally anyone?) And Factor 5 are just itching to show they are the new RARE when it comes to understanding/creating on Nintendo systems. I would LOVE to see Nintendo get more racing games on the Wii. What about more Excitetruck?? It demands a sequel. And will I ever play a rally game in the vein of Colin Mcrae on the Wii? I'm sure there will be more variety on the Wii than we had on the Gamecube as 3rd party efforts flock to the money. Yet 3rd parties need to see that Wii owners play REAL games too. ULTIMATE 2008 HOPES: 3rd Parties "grow up" and "respect" Wii. The industry shuns this hardcore/casual tag (it's just for arguments sake) NEW games ...and Disaster: D.O.C is a classic
darksnowman
What I'd love is Fire Emblem on the Wii to be released in Europe! Aside from that I want them to get us F-Zero as well... and I want Donkey Kong to get a platforming game! What won't we get? Killer Instinct 3D on the Wii! barbapapa
Please, please, for the love of god PLEASE be working on a new Pikmin game for the Wii, Nintendo! I adore the franchise, and playing it with Wii controls could be so perfect. Also, I'd love to see a Luigi's Mansion sequel that expands on the concept. And Waverace! Total guilty pleasure; I really miss these games.

barbapapa
I don't know if it's THAT popular. (and afaik, a guilty pleasure isn't per sé a BAD game) But I'm just saying... it's a water jet-ski game, with cheesy voice-acting... and bland characters :P Normally I'd never go near one of those, but Waverace gets it just right on the gameplay front... once you manage to juggle the high learning curve. It's not something I'd ever think of putting in an all-time favorites list. But yet I've wasted SO many hours on it. Playing the same tracks over and over, trying to tame the waves. tapedeck
Wii-ware has been announced and we will probably see it April 2008 or after as the financial year starts afresh..But what channels do you think Nintendo will release in 2008? I'm guessing Check Mii Out will come over christmas and NOT at the end of this month. (Sooner the better). I predict: Demo Channel for DS News/weather updates Photo Channel update Send TXT's?? Strange Cookie
I wouldn't mind some new IP's from Nintendo. Aside from that, coming from Nintendo itself: Luigi's Mansion 2 Pikmin 3 The fabulous return of the Koopa Kids Proper Starfox à la 64 (Flying, shooting, bosses. No on-foot, no battleplans, no intercepting missiles for the umpteenth time) Eternal Darkness 2 (OK, that's Silicon Knights', but one can hope.) Less minigame-games An unimaginative list if ever there was one.
stuwii
We already have that. It's called Metroid Prime 3.Two months from now, we'll have Super Mario Galaxy. I am sure the wii can do better than that, and 3rd part are damned lazy apart from red steel
Dannyboy-the-Dane
I'm with King V among others on this one: I feel that developers still don't take the Wii seriously. They just keep spitting out small pick-up-and-play games, and when they try something bigger, the results still could be better, everything taken into account. There are great games for the Wii, but most of them come from Nintendo themselves and very few from 3rd party devs. We must hope that Nintendo's big hits (SSBB, MP3:C, SMG) will help 3rd parties discover the full potential of the Wii. The devs seem to think: "Big, deep games -> X360/PS3; small, innovative games -> Wii." I just want to ask: Is it so hard to imagine a big, deep, innovative game for the Wii? We know the little machine of wonder can produce really nice graphics if the effort is put into it, an effort that devs don't seem to mind putting into PlayStation or Xbox games. Sorry about the rant, but it has been bugging me for some time now that developers seem so thick-skulled when it comes to the Wii and it's potential. About games I would like to see, Star Fox is at the top of my list. Assault was pretty disappointing, Command was improved, but if we can get closer to Lylat Wars, it would be swell. Being the romance lover that I am, I would really like to see Fox and Krystal's relationship expanded. When I heard the cut sound clips from Adventures, I literally became mad at Nintendo for not using them. The relationship aspect was also improved in Command, so it seems the Big N is heading in the right direction with the series. Here's fingers crossed. Another game I would love to see is a Kid Icarus game. If Zelda is going FPS, Kid Icarus could be the new adventure game series. (A little exaggerated, but you get the idea.) jammy2211
I think third parties have picked up ALOT in the past 8 months, I mean for starts we've already had annouced the sort of third party exclusives we never saw during the N64 or GameCube, and although there is a clear quality difference between the best first party and third party games, it is reducing in size rapidly. I think what we're more worrying is will any third party have the balls to come through and take a true risk on a game, perhaps putting a huge franchise on the Wii which isn't a spin off, or try give it a budget which is comparable to a 360 or PS3 game. We've not yet seen that happen, and we're just insecure that it won't. I'm satisfied with the progress third parties have made, you've got to consider both the N64 and GameCube were hell consoles for third parties, so they're going to be very careful with the Wii. So far so good though.
