I was just playing Wave Race on my Wii, and I rememberd that the original N64 version, was the only Nintendo Player's Choice title I picked up.

Do you think we will be seeing this range of titles appearing soon on the Wii? Seeing as the console is very popular, do you think this new range on the Wii (if it does appear), might come up close to the amount of Platinium titles, the PS2 had? It would be great to see many budget re-releases, announced and released more often so, than they were on the N64 and Gamecube.

It will happen, I'd say give it till either just before or just after christmas and we'll see the likes of red steel, raving rabbids, monkey ball etc on "Wii choice"

Yea, I think we'll see plenty. Player's Choice is usually for million (worldwide) sellers, right? If so, then Wii has The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Party 8, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Super Paper Mario, Rayman Raving Rabbids and Red Steel ready to become Player's Choice titles.

Im with Mikey on this. I hate all Platinum, Classic and Players Choice boxes, I never own them. I dont understand why they dont just keep the same boxes but just lower the price of the game, its like you get punished for not buying a game straight away.

Im not sure how successful Nintendos Player Choice range is over here though. I know in America there were lots for the N64 and the Cube but over here there werent nearly as many titles especially compared to Platinum and Classic games.

That's true. Maybe because Nintendo used to be very conservative about such matters in the N64 days and only Nintendo-published games could be Player's Choice titles. But they were more lax with the GameCube, which saw games from EA, Sega, Ubisoft, THQ, Vivendi, Capcom and Activision become Player's Choice titles. I'm sure these partners will remain when Player's Choice titles come to the Wii.

Because they won't stand out as a cheaper game when on the shelves.

This is certain to happen, although when is to difficult to say, if games are still selling well at full price then obviously no company in the wworld would start selling them cheaper (would they?!) Considering the fact that the wii has already sold near to half the amount of units the gamecube sold in it's entire life (RIP GC I will always remember you as my first home console! lol) It is pretty much certain that we will be seeing many more top selling games make the sales mark that will send them to the players choice hall of fame!
