The LA Times has announced that both Geoff Johns and Jim Lee will be appearing at its “Hero Complex Film Festival” on June 11th to drop “bombshell announcements about the future of Superman and the entire DC Universe.” Tickets for the event, which also includes a double feature of Superman The Movie and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, along with a Q&A with Donner, cost $45, meaning that – let’s face it – most of us will be following along on the internet. Just watched such a dark episode of Batman Beyond. Some dude had the technology to phase through matter (so he can walk through walls and shizzle) but in the end he loses control of it and the only force that has an effect on him is gravity. He just sinks through the floor. Terry's like 'What's going to happen to him?' and Bruce is all 'That dude is totes fucked. He's heading for the centre of the Earth and that's where he'll stay.' And when I say interested I mean positively erect for. The only Supes related thing I read is Superboy and that is hardly related at all. Don't think you see or hear a word about space at all. And Superman appears for a second, and is done well. The first/only(?) trade of the series collects the essential first story. I bring this series up every few months, but only cause no one ever bothers to read it. It's nothing to do with the current Supergirl btw. Just decided to order Flashpoint Batman Knight of Vengeance since it's only three issues. Finally read Gates of Gotham yesterday. Did anyone read Gates of Gotham? Pretty haunting with all the bodies in the water, and I do love me some Hush Totally agree. Also, I love the cover art. Also, had no idea it was in the current continuity with Dick acting as Batman. I think he was "made" when Talia drugged Bruce or something and she had her way with him. I think he had been in a story years ago as well as a baby or something but was retconned out. He seems to split the fans, some hate him and some love him. For me id rather have Tim Drake back as Robin but Damien is actually fun to read when put with other heroes, especially the issues he has appeared in both Batgirl and Supergirl. I don't really read any of the continuity so he's a new one for me. I wikipedia'd him. Seems pretty cool. I think it kind of makes sense that Tim Drakes personally. But then I've kind of got used to him as Red Robin in Superboy. Although when Dick joins Bruce in Dark Victory it is freaking awesome.
