Zechs Merquise Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Haven't we done this one before? It's a case of a guy who used to be a someone still thinking their opinion counts.
Jasper Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 They said this a year ago. EA said this a year ago, and look how they've bended their minds! I'm getting tired of this, but on the long run, he might be right (see the thread about Dave perry for my opinion).
Tellyn Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Haven't we done this one before? It's a case of a guy who used to be a someone still thinking their opinion counts. Yeah, good point. So far most of the people who have said something along these lines have come out with a public apology or an admittance that they were wrong. And considering last year it was announced that an Earthworm Jim was being made for Wii, he clearly thinks the Wii has some sort of potential.
Fresh Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Ummm. The third party support is because of sales not because of appeal.
Migraine Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Heheh... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwkJSMFdhTI I actually think there's an element of truth in what he's saying. I don't think it will be around as long as the competition, but only because I can see Nintendo upgrading the Wii long before Sony or Microsoft upgrade their consoles. They make money off hardware sales, they've made the Wii brand strong and they've proved they can keep two consoles in the same market (GBA and DS) while they make a slow transition from one to the other being the dominant brand. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about the new, meatier "Nintendo Wii-ii" as soon as three years from now. As for dear old Mr Perry... If i'd created a character as wonderful as Earthworm Jim, I would have done everything in my power to stop "Earthworm Jim 3D" ever happening... that game sucked annelid-ass.

Off subject, but your name is reminding me my head hurts like buggery. Damn you. Oh and I also agree with what you said above.
jammy2211 Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 jammy2211 - he isn't the head of EA. Learn to read. And if "joypads haven't worn off", then why did people get excited about the Wii in the first place? I got confused, Peter Moore is normally saying the exact same thing in other news reports so it was really a dig at him. This is just some loser who's games failed cause Mario kicked their arse in the 90's, shame for him. What does this guy actually do now anyway? I don't see him having done anything relevent for video games in the past 10 years 0_o.

Then maybe you should learn to read before digging at someone that had nothing to do with this topic.

Surely the point still stands, they both share the exact same view and my post could simply be copied and pasted to when Peter Moore said it and it's be all relevent and lovely. David Perry has plenty of links with EA anyway, I know he's got some sort of a role in the developement on The Simpsons game. It's nothing like Peter Moore has but I think the point is still valid either way 0_o.

I can't see why the Wii has less of a lifespan than the 360 or the PS3. They're involved in a graphical race where the stakes get raised almost every week. It's like the PS2, that's still going strong, stronger than the PS3 infact!

Not everyone loves the wii in the world you know, as nintendo fans and people we just have understand that everyones has different likes and dislikes, it's that simple. because you believe Nintendo has done nothing wrong and the wii is amazing, doesn't mean someone else is going to think the same.... and no, i'm no fanboy! I love all 3 consoles and can say that all have negative points. I love you all!
