McPhee Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Phone Microsoft and tell them, they are usually pretty helpfull
Guest Stefkov Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I don't know what I did last night but I seem to have made a second Desktop folder. I deleted this folder from my 'Stefan Kov' Folder. The contents were the same as what they were in the other folder which were the same. So I deleted the folder and My torrents worked fine, downloading to desktop, so I just checked by putting a picture onto my desktop. It created another Desktop folder back where the other one was. This is kind of irritating if anyone knows whats happened I'll be grateful.
Charlie Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 My Vista Business edition won't activate and i've only got a few days left. I'm getting the error code: 0x800705B4 i think. i'll have to check next time it tries. I checked google. But it appears i have to do something after the time runs out, i kinda want a a solution before then. Are you sure your activation code hasn't been used before or if it's a business activation number maybe its been used the maximum amount of times?
AshMat Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 This is bullshit, today it's decided to run out (Code: 0x800705B4) Now Vista is in Reduced Functionality Mode, and i can't find a bloody fix >:@ Fuck microsoft and fuck their "safety" bullshit.
AshMat Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Think i've not tried that? I rang them at the guy t the other enbd said i needed some "Volume activation number" or something similar. I don't have these numbers, and if i do i don't have access to them. FUCK MICROSOFT UP THE FUCKING ASS
stev2604 Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I'm having a problem with Windows Media Player on my laptop, it only recognises my .avi files as audio files. I'm getting sound but no picture, anyone know what's wrong with it? EDIT: I didn't have Divx installed...
AshMat Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Ah good, i'll have my PC sorted Thursday, which is ok because i probably won't be home until then anyway.
AshMat Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Just got my Vista sorted, after numerous error codes and trials, i managed to get it done through the automated phone service. So now i have my new keyboard, mouse and monitor all plugged in. And the monitor is FUCKING GORGEOUS, Pix soon.

Caris Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 SP1 gets the Caris thumbs up. Everything seems more responsive. It also raised my desktop graphics rating from 3.1 to 3.3. Nice.
Calza Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Are you on intergrated graphics mate? Cause mine went up the same, and I'm not sure why I typed mate it does not usually appear in my vocabulary.
Caris Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 No worries mate. lol. Nah I'm on a laptop i have a 8400m G graphics chip, pretty poor to be honest. I'm notcing more and more little changes here and there, Vista definalty seems alot better. Now no one has an excuse to stay on XP.

Guest Stefkov Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Lol you are on Vista yeah? Have you been keeping up with the updates, does your pc update automatically? I just clicked on Windows Update, checked for new updates and there it was. Service Pack 1. Installed and now my pc is running quite a bit smoother. Not noticed anything else though.
Guest Jordan Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I've had SP1 on my desktop for a while (leaked full RTM). Time to see how my lappy copes.
Cube Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I installed SP1 and then spent an hour fixing Vista.
