Ramar Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 3-0, to the geordie boys, 3-0, to the geordie boys 3-0.... Who let the zog out? Who, Who, Who, Who? Blackburn got Michael 'Owend' I could understand this kind of celebration if you had just won the league. But you only won a match against a team that are relegation candidates. Quite frankly Newcastle with the personel they have should easily beat Blackburn. Congrats for getting your first 3 points though.
Din Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Woohoo! Just got back from Blackburn about hour and a half ago! What a second half! So happy to finally get our first win of the season and it was nice to see Shearer and Owen scoring (how good does that sound!). Our support today was brilliant! I'm drunk...been drinking since 8am!
Surrealist Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Pretty happy, even though I support Spurs, I really like Newcastle, happy to see them finally win. Now to wait for Luque to get back...
Guest DS MaNiAc Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 And Nobby Solano. And Emre. And loads more.
Din Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 And Nobby Solano. And Emre. And loads more. Everyone was singing Nobby Solano's name today. Can't wait for him to play!
Eddage Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 Gutted about the United score, think we've definately got enough quality to beat Liverpool, spose I will have to watch MOTD 2 tonight to see if it really was down to negative tactics (but the way this season has been going I'm sure it is!)
Hank Scorpio Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 This thread just for The premiership?, What about the greatest league in britain, the spl. I've been plowing a lone furrow for the SPL, so feel free to help. Celtic won 1-0 at hibs, we pretty much ran all over them in the first half, but were fairly poor in the second. So back to 5 points behind Hearts, who play rangers next week, so hopefully they keep their winning streak going for one more game. 1
harribo Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Norwich City beat the Tractor boys 1-0. Good result for them, I hope they get their arses into gear now and get up the top of the table where they belong. NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO theywere meant to lose by 2 goals so we werent bottom of the table. I could understand this kind of celebration if you had just won the league. But you only won a match against a team that are relegation candidates. Quite frankly Newcastle with the personel they have should easily beat Blackburn. Congrats for getting your first 3 points though. Meh Wednesday had quite a celebration when we got our first win of the season against leeds on Tuesday. And Nobby Solano. And Emre. And loads more. Weve prob got more injurys.
James Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Meanwhile over in Spain, Real Madrid lost to Espanyol for the 3rd match this week also Barca lost aswell  and juventus are flying high.
Jon Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 About the barca game, great to see the legend fit again after injury. Henrik Larsson is a god.
antster1983 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Heh. Nice of Cheets and Twilight for speaking up about Latics How about that 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough? Sounds like a better match than the snoozefest of the Man Utd - Liverpool goalless "Oh We're So Scared Of Losing" match. Wigan Athletic were formed in 1932, but it was indeed 1978 when they were admitted into the Football League, at the expense of Southport.
Roostophe Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 first off: 1-1, we had a lot of chances in the first half. All I can say is I hope Robinson has form like that for England, secondly, Milner scored, yes yes oh yay. Thirdly, that was a brilliant goal by Robbie Keane, finally, Baros is showing a lot of potential, he set up Milner's goal. Blues drew with Portsmouth, Nicky Butt: Tw*t.
GoonFace Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 2-0! Two great headers from Campbell and he could have got his hat trick. Our second highest scorers and now Cygan and Campbell lol
|Laguna| Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Carling cup games today. None of teh biggies playing but there a fair crop of Premiership teams playing, West Ham seem to good viewing recently, hopefully Arsenal lad Aliadiere will get a full run out. Edit: Oh, I see it's filtered becasue it has c.u.n.t in the name :lmao: Charlton v Hartlepool Sheff Wed v West Ham Crystal Palace v Coventry Gillingham v Portsmouth Watford v Wolves Barnet v Plymouth Burnley v Barnsley Cardiff v Macclesfield Leicester v Blackpool Mansfield v Southampton Norwich v Northampton Reading v Luton Rotherham v Leeds Shrewsbury v Sheff Utd Sunderland v Cheltenham West Brom v Bradford Wigan v Bournemouth Yeovil v Millwall Blackburn v Huddersfield Doncaster v Man City Fulham v Lincoln
Charlie Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 CIS Cup tonight in Scotland. Tuesday, 20 September 2005 Inverness CT v Dundee Utd, 19:45 Kilmarnock v Dunfermline, 19:45 Rangers v Clyde, 19:45 St Mirren v Motherwell, 19:45 Stranraer v Aberdeen, 19:45 Wednesday, 21 September 2005 Ayr v Hibernian, 19:45 Celtic v Falkirk, 19:45 Livingston v Hearts, 19:45
Ramar Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Come on you 'Orns!! Watford with a half team of youth players beat a first team Wolves side. 2-1 AET. Norwich won 2-0 against Northampton which is good for them, two consecutive wins, I hope now they sort it out.
Eddage Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Ahhhhh, so thats what the commentators were getting so excited about at the pub (it was on in the other room so I couldn't reallly tell what they were saying although we did guess it was that Tottenham had lost)!
cheets Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 villa 8-3 nice wigan won grimsby won big guns in next round as they all have fancy pants european football ALSO[/b] Liverpool's game with Manchester United has been held up as 'Exhibit A' in the current rush to put the Premiership on trial for being boring. It was the most high-profile game of the weekend - and the worst. i love being correct
Ramar Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 The only thing that makes me even consider the Premier League boring is that the title race is always down to a select group. Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Ticket prices are the reason fans stay away. Last time I went to Highbury it cost my brother £102 for two tickets in the North Bank, ok we could have payed less for other stands, but you always want the best seat. Compare the £51 paid for Arsenal, to the £12 I paid to see Watford vs Norwich the other day and you can see why the fans stay away.
James Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Chelsea should be Exhibit A, they have been nothing but long ball specialists since last season, boring, boring.
Noodleman Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Chelsea should be Exhibit A, they have been nothing but long ball specialists since last season, boring, boring. At the moment there playing rubbish but still winning 2-0 when they actauly find some form its going to be scary imo.
Guest DS MaNiAc Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I went to the Cheltenham vs Mackems match and sat in the away end, was great fun, towards the end we were chanting: "SHEARER! SHEARER! SHEARER!". But they lost in the end All for only £5 aswell, I got tickets for the away end on the night at the box office :P I said: " Two for the away stand please" and the woman replys: "Are you an away fan?" I say "aye!" She gives me a strange look before shouting over to someone if they had any tickets for the away end, the man gave them to her and I handed over the tenner!
