Stocka Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Noticed this at play.com and hadn't heard about it before, despite always wanting one as the batteries run out pretty quick in the wiimote. It's by Joytech and is priced at £17.99 http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/GENBRW/3-/3320243/Wii_Power_Station/Product.html Anyone know anything about it... or if there'll be better ones coming up later on? I'd rather an official one but it doesn't look like Nintendo wants to make one.
ShadowV7 Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Havn't heard anything from Nintendo but I want one instead of using AA's all the time. Cheap aswell.
blender Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 if there is an official one, i bet it will be a whole new remote. Still dont see the problem with normal rechargeables. these just seem prettier. does it feed of the mains or the wii usb? thats an important question. I think usb might well be active in wiiconnect24 mode although i'm not too sure http://gonintendo.com/?p=13447 This one looks better to me USB FTW looking closer i see the joytech has usb too http://www.amazon.co.uk/Joytech-Power-Station-Wii/dp/B000L3DFS0/sr=8-1/qid=1171912353/ref=pd_ka_1/026-2280918-1087619?ie=UTF8&s=videogames
monkeyDluffy Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 GAMES making a docking station and battery, from the image I've seen of it, it looks quite good, will have to wait and see, it should be out 7th march.
Cube Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Rechargeable batteries. Cheaper, more effective, more useful, can simply be replaced when they run out, with another pair of rechargeables. I think usb might well be active in wiiconnect24 mode although i'm not too sure Yes, it is. I use it to charge my Sony Ericsson mobile phone
Gizmo Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Got mine the other day. Pretty useful, charges from flat in no time, no idea of the max you'll get from one charge because as soon as I finish it goes back in and charges again. Keeps the remotes nice and organised, not sure about the Nunchuk (theres no where for the wire) but a very nice piece of kit.
Retro_Link Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 GAME rechargable docking station http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=&mid=329935
theguyfromspark Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Just so you know, the Joytech docking station doesn't connect via usb, it actually has a pass through power cable that connects to the Wii's powers supply cable. So you plug the Wii power lead into the Docking station pass through cable and the pass through cable into the back of the Wii. It's a really elegant solution and works a treat.
