stuwii Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 does any game ever bug up for you on the wii? call of duty 3 bugs up a bit for me but is still better than red steel:grin:
darksnowman Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Funny you should ask, I was playing Zelda earlier and there was some weirdness. Like it took ages to load up and load up areas of the map. This was even stranger when I went between areas of the map that load as you go, because as night came to day, the sky remained this rainy grey colour. Then mainly, when going from one part of the field to another, it took a few seconds for the place to appear and I was just running through greyness with a few trees and baddies dotted around, with Hyrule Castle looming in the background. The poor wee Wii was gurgling and wheezing so I saved and powered it off. It was ok and running nice and smooth when I tried again, phew. I had a couple of glitches in Red Steel as well, but the Zelda one freaked me more.
Melainon Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 The only problem I've had is in Rayman Raving Rabbids, where the game suddenly froze, and made a loud continous noise. I had to turn the Wii off by the power plug to turn it off. Other than that, I've only had some very minor glitches in Red Steel, like the menu music would continue to play after loading a game, or an enemy got stuck somewhere.
Konfucius Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I didn't really encounter much bugs. Sometimes some AI bugs, so that a dead one still moves but nothing major so far. However on GC I saw a bluescreen twice during Rogue Leader and Time Splitter 2 once.
blender Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 The "nintendo seal of quality" was pretty good for the GC. but they seem to let a load of crap through this time. Or maybe the wii is inherently more unstable in the hardware or the dev kits.

Or maybe the wii is inherently more unstable in the hardware or the dev kits. I think this is only partially due to the new hardware. Mainly launch titlessuffer from lack of beta testing as they quickly get to market and bugs slip through a lot easier that way. It was the same with Rogue Leader for instance. As far as I know it was very bugging and kept crashing. As said above I was pleased with a lovely bluescreen twice.
Cube Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 My GameCube was very buggy. Quite a few games made it crash (from both near the launch and more recent ones). I've never had a problem with my Wii, tho.
Tyson Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 My Wii always crashes when I'm browsing porn on the Opera channel. It also crashed once when I was on Zelda in Wolf form. I went to read the sign outside my house in sense mode and it was blank, and I couldn't get off the sign.
Emasher Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 i've experienced slight glitches in rayman but thats it
Dyson Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 CoD3 and also Rayman, in the Natural Rhythm mini game.
Social Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I never ran into any bug so far except for this weird high tone peeping the Zelda Twilight Princess makes my Wii make when it has been in the same area for a long time ( had it in the water temple a few times )
Tyson Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I've never had a bug in Red Steel. I wasn't aware there were any explicit or major bug. Is it just people complaining over nothing again?
Speedysurfer Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I think this can be considered a bug... Each time I load the game in Zelda, whenever Link finds a blue or a yellow rupee, it goes as if it was the first rupee he ever found (you know..."You found a Blue Rupee!"). Really weird, it happens every time I load a game for the first rupee of those colors I find...

Rummy Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Yeah, that really annoyed me! I couldn't stand it at all! I dunno if anyone else has ever had this, but it's the only thing I'd say I've had with my wii that was slightly buggy(except MM locking up once) and its on TP, sometimes when I did a sword spin move, link wouldn't do it right away and the stuff near me would just keep on running into me sort of thing, but not causing damage, and then the spin would happen like 2-3 seconds after I'd actually done it.

Ha, that could be a possibility! But me personally, I've experienced a few bugs. The main one is that when I played for the first time, at the end of the first mission your girlfriends father just fell through the floor when he was talking to me! All there was visible was his head and shoulders! Weird, but I didnt let it get me down and any other wee glitchy goings on I just overlook and keep going!
