Oxigen_Waste Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I'm sick of hearing about this game's greatness... I played the first one, and just like Jak & Daxter, I thought it was ok, but not GREAT. What do you think, is this one definetely THAT worth buying? Is it really THAT good?
The Bard Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Nah, it's pants. Just like Jak and Daxter and the rest of the crappy ratchet and clank games. If you want a real platformer go for Klonoa 2
Domstercool Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Never played one, and I've only played Jak and Daxter and that was a pretty good platformer.
ZeldaFreak Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Yeah its a good platformer- the selling point is the weapons though. Its one of the best platformers around.

Hero-of-Time Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 For once I agree with Zelda Freak, R&C is an awesome series. I have played all of them and although the last one Gladiator did stray abit from the forumla it was still a solid game. The reason I like the series is because it is really fun to play and the weapons are awesome also it is pretty funny. The developers pretty much got it right from the start and unlike other developers they actually kept the formula that worked and just added to it with each game bar the last one. They are probably cheap as chips now so give them a whirl. I also recommend starting from the first game as someof the jokes in the later ones will be lost on you.
Owen Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Never played a Ratchet and Clank game, although i'm getting the new PSP game which is out this week in the US, IGN stated that it's outstanding...we'll see. Jak and Daxter was a superb platformer, although i hated the others it just lost that adventure feel which i really like and went all GTA and industrial. (excluding Daxter on PSP of course)

I loved the first Jak and Daxter game but turning it into a GTA-athon just ruined the series for me as did the cash in that was Jax X.
Zell Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I never really like R & C that much, the original was enjoyable enough, I got it because of Insomniac, who made the enjoyable PS1 Spyro games. But they've kinda exhausted it out a bit with these sequels, like Jak and Daxter.
