EEVILMURRAY Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Herbie was/is shite but Dumbo . . . . talk about a sad film, it always makes me cry-dunno why but it just does. Herbie was awesome. Me and my housemate always have a good time slipping "You're my friend" into conversation. You people need to see Herbie to hear the manner in which it's said. Kinda like how we bring "Ooh what a lovely fire" from that piece of shit Howl's Moving Castle into regular conversation.
solitanze Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 The entertainment industry as a whole has declined in quality and has reflected onto consumers tastes and expectations. We're bombarbed with inferior video games, inferior movies, inferior music, inferior television programs, inferior quality of products in general with cost cutting measures with tangiable goods. The only thing superior is the price tag...
The Bard Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 The best is undoubtedly Aladdin, but I think they've really gone downhill since they stopped doing the 2D stuff.
LukeLee Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Ah yes. Toy Story was quite the accurate representation. haha, i know someone just like the neighbour boy, he tortures dolls in his garden
Haver Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 I think you've got it all wrong. They're smarter, they're funnier, they're better looking. What's not to like?
mcj metroid Posted December 22, 2006 Author Posted December 22, 2006 it's not original or different.and some *cough*the wild*cough*are just painful.Point is i haven't seen a very good one in a long time
The Bard Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 I thought A Bugs Life was good though... I liked the game too...
antster1983 Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 I also prefer the older Disney films - Pinnochio, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book and The Rescuers being particular favourites. Then there's The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King and Pocahontas which were quite good. After that they went downhill. As for Pixar, Toy Story was and is.
somme Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 I do have a fondness for The Little Mermaid as well...all she wanted was to have sex with that prince...
Cube Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 No they aren't Disney own Mirramax amongst other film studios. Without Disney we wouldnt have had Reservoir Dogs for example. Ah, totally forgot about PotC. Never heared of Resivoir Dogs, tho. I mean I dont really like the cartoon stuff.
Noodleman Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Never heared of Resivoir Dogs, tho. You what  go and watch it now
antster1983 Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 For the record, Reservoir Dogs was distributed by Miramax before it was took over by Disney.
