I am not sure if this was posted already but I read on a German newssite that Reggie said that: Mario Galaxy 2 shall be more Nintendo fan focused and for experienced players. Especially Yoshi shall make the game more demanding. Furthermore, 95% of its content shall be new (I guess the other 5% might be something like the spaceship). It is especially for gamers who have grown up with "Super Mario World".

Wii Vitality Sensor... Are you having a laugh!
ghost_zero replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Wait: You can get a patent on something like this? Especially, since such "things" have been in use for quite a while now in hospitals. But probably they didn't get it, did they? They just wanted it. If they have such a patent, i guess they only got it because nobody thought they would actually produce it Regarding the conference itself: I don't think it was that bad. There were some nice games announced and regarding NO Star Fox, NO ... That doesn't mean those games are not coming. They just didn't announce them at the E3, they might actually came out earlier than e.g. Mario Galaxy 2. Yeah, it wasn't that great but still better than last year e.g. And they already said last year, they don't use the E3 for announcing games anymore. However, I think the most interesting games announced were the two Square Enix games at the beginning. FF Crystal Bearers and I think Kingdom Hearts could be good too. -

Yeah there are but not too many games that are really GREAT. -

The point is however when you use that peripheral you only have one hand left, so you e.g. can't use the Nunchack for FPS games. -

@Jim: Well: No, for the balance board I knew from the beginning that you could for instance use it for things like Snowboard games (and also I don't require it for the games I normally play though) BUT this thing is pretty much useless. Except maybe a lie detector EDIT: This post was of course intented regarding Jim's post before. I added that information at the beginning. -
Arc Rise Fantasia (Marvelous/Image Epoch)
ghost_zero replied to pedrocasilva's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I agree with Diageo. It looks way better now. I mean I have nothing against seeing "more" but before it looked a bit stupid. Now it fits way better (I mean regarding her complete outfit). -
It really looks great. I mean from what this is about and what I can see from the pictures. However, I hope the scans aren't to good because the pictures somehow seem to be like covered with "dust". Actually, I can't describe what I mean but I am pretty sure it is because of the scan quality.

Not directly related to this game but indirectly. I am now more interested in this game again as I played Echoes of Time and though it definetely wasn't too "special" (actually I don't know how to say what I mean) I liked it way more than FF 12. Btw. could this game be related to Echoes of Time? I mean crystal as energy source was also the way they were used in Echoes of Time and those pictures above remind me a bit on the tower and the gate.

Arc Rise Fantasia (Marvelous/Image Epoch)

In that trailer: Was that normal or was there something cut but between the girl using the magic and the fight end because I didn't actually see the last monster being defeated..? -
The new trailer looks interesting but it still doesn't show too much about the game itself.

Regarding motion based: It depends on how well this is done. Maybe it will even take advantage of Motion Plus? But even if it has motion based gameplay, this doesn't mean that there won't be a traditional gameplay style. However, of course, it depends on how much the motion based gameplay is needed. Actually, motion based gameplay and open-world have brought the game a bit higher on my wish-list again - though I am still not sure if I shall buy it but that is because even though there is news, it still isn't much we know/saw about the game. Especially, how the game will be playable with the motion based controls.

Virtual Console - All you need to know
ghost_zero replied to Tellyn's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I have it für GameCube though and therefore I can still play it on the Wii too. So I very likely won't buy it. But still great that we got it already. I am still waiting for Lufia (1&2 would be best - especially as 1 never reached Europe) though. Btw. is it true that the new feature of starting games from SD cards, actually copies the file onto the NAND before starting the game? If so, it would not work if there isn't enough memory available, not to mention that the NAND has limited write cycles and if you have to re-copy it every time, when you start a game, this could greatly decrease its life-cycle (normally it should be problem though, if the NAND is good - but I believe it is such extrem good NAND here - , it is unlikely that you will reach its life-span within once life-span but as said that one probably is not that good and this will/would reduce its life-span). -
I agree that currently I am not much interested in this game. However, the trailers acutally doesn't show anything informative or so. I think it is mainly because of this. I will wait until we get more information/better gameplay videos to judge the game. Best would be Demo though

Yeah, I think so too. Microsoft pays for exclusivity for a limited amount of time and afterwards they can create/release it on other consoles too - at least that is my guess. Would make sense because after a year or so the ales are usually pretty low anyway. However, I am not sure, if they were allowed to work on the port already before the time passed or not. They for sure weren't allowed to announce it before but if they were allowed to work on it is another question. Btw.: Is there known if the PS3 Japanese version will include English language from the beginning? If so, it could be also interesting to instead of buying the European XBox360 version to wait for that version to come out and buy that one - after all PS3 games aren't region-locked.

Arc Rise Fantasia (Marvelous/Image Epoch)
ghost_zero replied to pedrocasilva's topic in Nintendo Gaming
@darksnowman: You are welcome - though I believe Dante actually posted the new video before me (from a different site though but I believe it is the same video, haven't watched both of them completely because Dante's seemed to be the same after a few seconds watching). -
I am not sure if this has been posted yet but at least it doesn't seem like this. There was a bit more mentioned about the new Tales of Grace game for Wii in an IGN article - together with the announcement of Tales of Vesperia for PS3 - though not much: http://wii.ign.com/articles/968/968622p1.html I wonder what they mean with "Defend" and "Protect" exactly but I guess we will find out soon enough. Btw.: It could also be an april fool At least I find that loli character a bit strange though I am not surprised about a PS3 port - at least for Japan. Btw.2: If (and only if) this turns out to be true (or is already proofed), I think it would be good if this thread will be renamed to "Tales of Grace".

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
ghost_zero replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Jep. They are very likely no fakes. However, Namco could still decide differently. It wouldn't be the first time that officially announced games, got canceled... -

ghost_zero replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
As said I just found them in a German forum (to be exactly here): http://www.consolewars.de/messageboard/showthread.php?t=58180&page=68 If they are true, is of course another story, but I would guess so but until a complete official confirmation those things could still change (even if those mails are true). -

ghost_zero replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Regarding Dawn of the New Wolrd (an also Vesperia) today some persons seem to have gotten answers to their mails because I now found three different screenshots posted today (on another froum) from different persons (and at least some of them should be trustworthy - at least I think most people in that forum are - ; especially if it is from three different people and also different e-mail clients): http://i43.tinypic.com/2e2le80.jpg http://img2.abload.de/img/neuebitmapoq6r.jpg http://npshare.de/files/4921ddaf/tales.jpg -
Gecko OS and HBC itself would work even on v3.4 - only Rebooter (part of Gecko OS but not required for region-free play and it only starts manually, so Gecko OS still works) doesn't work (at least not yet). However, if it is just the Shop Channel or Mii Channel you want: There is an installer that will just install that and works even under v3.2. Some of those even have an option that even FreeLoader would continue to work (though of course it isn't necessary with the HBC).

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
ghost_zero replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Well yeah: That image I already saw somewhere else but there they doubted if it is real - after all it has some serious spelling mistakes. However, it still could be real - especially if the person answering wasn't a native English speaker (well I am no native speaker also but e.g. I would never write veru but of course this could be a typing error - after all if I am correct the y and u are near each other on an English keyboard; on mine they are extremely far away) but still... But also the "second on half" sounds a bit strange to me, shouldn't it just be "second half"? Therefore I hoped for an Atari answer, so I could post in another forum about this with new evidence. EDIT: It seems like another person got a response now too regarding Vesperia and they again said 2nd half 2009. -
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
ghost_zero replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I guess you mean 2009 Otherwise they are a bit late Btw. do you have any source link regarding this? Not that I don't trust you regarding this but I can't find anything on the Internet (except when it was first said that it will come to Europe sometime in 2008 but there it wasn't from Atari, nor said that it would be Atari) and the sales of that game weren't really high, so on most sites/forums I now find the guess is that it won't come to Europe. -

Wait Atari said that they will release ToV? That I didn't see anywhere I know that Namco said that it will come out last year sometime but that was a while ago and certain things happened till now (e.g. less sales and othe things). Regarding all future games: I am not sure but isn't that only regarding all games that will make it to Europe? Or will they really release ALL of them? -
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
ghost_zero replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
They are bringing Tales of Vesperia? I thought it is now uncertain if that game will come to Europe at all? (After all even US production was stopped.) Do you have a link regarding ToV? The Atari deal I know though. From what I know they will release all of the future Namco games in Europe - though with all I mean: all that make it to Europe - or are it really ALL?
