I got a january 06 one and it's still kicking (barely... the DVD drive makes a racket when spinning up/down) so I'm probably next on the death list.

Not strictly their fault but I've just moved into a new house which has recently been built so my new post code isn't recognised so i can't change my delivery details. I emailed them to ask if they could change the address anyway with the postcode validation stuff and they said they couldn't.

I know this has been asked a trillion times but what sites send out games reliably before their offical release date? I know about Gameplay and shop to but they're both giving me shit today so don't want to use them.

There's no way I'll be getting more than about 5 achievements in this game, they consume way too much time that could be better spend playing other games.I'll do my best to see the entire story but after that, it's gone.

I am spoiled. I like good games, not interactive screen savers.

I think it's great that the Wii is creating all these new audiences, i sometimes think of most consoles being similar to a TV with only 3 channels, Sci-Fi channel, Cartoon Network and an action movie only channel. Hopefully as the different audiences expand we'll see other channels appearing offering other types of games, alongside the existing channels and appreciate the variety of playing a game that isn't a sci-fi shooter or a cartoonty adventure all the time. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

Which i why I placed the word "New" before the word "Casual" . I think the people buying the Wii now are different to the people buying GTA3 back in the day. Once some more traditional games come along, such as Mario and the like, they will attract more of the old "Casual".

The PS2 sold amazingly well without being for the new "Casual" audience so i think there's plenty of space for the Wii to move into in the non casual market.

Finally finished Disk 1, which was a bit of a grind towards the end. I'm now level 21/22 and the time on the clock is 14 hours (though some of that is time paused I think). I'm just hoping Disk 2 and 3 are a little more exciting story wise.

Wish I could fuck 7 days a week....

Cheers for all that, makes sense... I think I'm on level 17ish and just entered the Gul Mountains (i think that's the name). I've made a point of killing almost every enemy in the dungeon areas but avoiding as much as I can on the overworld, seems to be working out. So does anyone have any tips for when to change classes and what class to change to?

I'm nearing the end of the first disc and haven't changed any of the classes yet, how do you know when you've learnt all the moves for a class? Not sure I understand the whole class thing to be honest (not got the instructions because it's a rental) so any help with that would be nice too. Not that the game is hard yet anyway, most of the enemies seem to be one hit wonders at my current level!

Paramount and Dreamworks have announced they're releasing movies on HD DVD! That probably means I'll be watching Transformers in HD by the end of the year!

My year old premium 360 already has hi-def capabilities.... what do I win? I guess people will have to wait for current stock to clear before they're guaranteed a premium 360 with a HDMI port though. EDIT: Space Giraffe and Street Trace NYC on XBLA this Wednesday!

Just a wild stab in the dark, but try disabling ready boost, deleting the files on the USB stick, restarting the machine, then re-enable ready boost and restart again. See what the boot times are on each reboot.

Do you use a USB stick for readyboost at all?

Interesting This is a rumour but it looks like the Premium 360 is to be renamed "Pro" and the Core 360 is to be renamed "Arcade" and comes with a memory card in box!
