I'd love online chat while racing with others, that would be amazing. Would love an adventure mode a la' Diddy Kong racing too - not that it would ever happen but its nice to dream! Oh and some gorgeoues orchestral music....I'm getting sick of a crappy midi music on recent MK games!
-
thats ridiculous. no analogue triggers on any wii u pad? racing games look to be a bit buggered then i guess haha!
-
Just a question, but does the Pro controller have analogue triggers or do all the wii u pads lack this feature?

1 Hour of Dinosaur Planet N64 footage surfaces!
Beaneth007 replied to Dcubed's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I think you're in the minority for sure there! I felt the game was such a drag, not interesting, too easy half the time and then hard for the wrong reasons in other parts. Hated it for those reasons and the whole shoe-horned starfox thing.....Loved the graphics and sound though, stunning. -
the n64 zeldas make sense to be updated on 3ds and gamecube onto wii u...the generational gap between them makes sense, technologically and gameplay wise I reckon. Im so stoked for WW though, i wasnt even considering a wii u until today now i really want one. It's amazing what a couple of games can do for your enthusiasm isnt it?
-
This looks amazing, WW annoyed me a lot what with the cut out dungeons and silly fetch quests but it was a very good game still, it looked great and was very charming so if they can sort all that out i'm well in! Nintendo, take my money!

"Driving The Last Spike" by Genesis always makes me really thoughtful and introspective. The theme/story behind the song is quite hitting and some of the chord changes/breaks are stunning. Even though its something like 10 minutes long, it doesnt feel like it is. Phil Collins and Co wrote a beautiful number there!

As much as I loved Diddy Kong racing, the plane collision detection was awful. you'd easily miss an object but the game would say youd hit it and your race would be scuppered. damn annoying glitch!
-
I always thought that BK was by the most charming platformer on the n64 but Mario 64 was was more pure fun. I'm so glad i gave both my full attention at different times of the n64's life as ive got a feeling one would have been ignored had i owned both at the same time! Loved Banjo Tooie though, very much agree that it was a bit too big and got quite tedious with all the back tracking and collecting but overall it was a hoot!

to be honest if they could have made this game i think it would have been a lot more pure and interesting. The Starfox setting was so shoe-horned in and stupid.....Dinosaur Planet looked quite gorgeoues for an N64 game, obviously it would have been a gorgeoues gamecube game what with Starfox adventure's visuals being probably the best on the system (save for resi 4, metroid and rogue leader). -
if you think that any of dino domain on silver coin challenge is hard, jeez you will hate the later worlds haha

Wave Race Blue Storm - Hidden Commentator

haha thats brilliant! -
Every other year i come back to DKR, create a new file then complete it on normal adventure and adventure two.....The silver coin challenges and final wizpig on adventure 2 (mirrored tracks) are so difficult but it always feels really rewarding! Adventure mode is great and the tracks have wonderful music, they nearly always bring a smile to my face. Oh how I would love a proper sequel, although would i want the legacy ruined? Probably not....
-
Sure does, seems nintendo have struck quite a fun deal with TT and the Lego people for this game..hope its properly exclusive but it probably won't be.

did anybodynotice the "got an item" sound from the zelda series at 1.35?????

A new Zelda showing in the 3DS conference??
Beaneth007 replied to Beaneth007's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'd happily accept a wind waker type 3DS zelda, but by that I mean console proper and not Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Twats.... -
A new Zelda showing in the 3DS conference??
Beaneth007 replied to Beaneth007's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'd just love a teaser or just a snippet of detail about a new zelda game. I don't know, just anything that would get an old nintendo fan a bit excited.Maybe a new proper starfox game, F-zero game......something thats not a 2d mario or cheap spin off. Give us something! -
So people, only a few hours until the 3DS show starts...do you think there will be any surprises...andmore the the point....A new proper 3D zelda game to be shown?? I hope so, it would lighten up a pretty dull E3 for me!
-
Whoops...i kind of messed up the actual topic with my question. Still........this week ive given a whole day for each of Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword ...And I'm swayed towards Twilight Princess, just!
-
I agree with most of what you said there, I didnt finish Skyward Sword (very nearly though) but I found it on one hand - original, often awe inspiring and styish with great puzzles....but on the other hand, paronising, fuzzy and seriously limiting with little to no scope......It took you by the hand every second of the way, really de-railed my enthusiasm for it. Twilight Princess felt big, good looking (clear!), wide in scope......a zelda fans wet dream (at the time, after wind waker's cel-look) what with all the pretty locations, lovely views, designs and puzzles.....I preferred it as a pure zelda game but found it sometimes sparsely populated, empty and tedious. I prefer Twilight Princess as a Zelda game, skyward sword is a wonderful idea and basic concept to build on - to be honest if they had made some sort of new franchise set up in that kind of way,or a spin off then that wouldve been great....But a full blown epic game, twilight princess' style is the way for me! Having said that...Id love another wind waker game, set on land thiss time. A big, properly cel shaded world would be stunning.

Ah guys i truly loved Wave Race Blue Storm..I imported a Japanese Gamecube bundle with Jap versions of Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race...Gotta say, I was totally blown away by both games but wave race had me quite hooked and the effects were lovely. I do agree about the treicks feeling unimportant though, i barely bothered with them! Wave Race 64 was great too, i seem to remember being crazily impresed by the water effects back in the day, all shiney and gloopy looking...oh and the theme song when you switch it on, great synths. I can't say Im a fan of 1080 though, hated the n64 one, feklt really slow and cripplingly dull for me, but i know friends who loved it dearly so maybe it just didnt connect with me, which in turn had me never really want to play it's sequel.
-
All the reviews and opinions really dont make me want to buy this game..I LOVED mario tennis on the n64, such a well honed refined game......Power Tennis on the 'cube was pretty good but didn't woo me in the same way.. This sounds like its even futher down the slide....I'm not even considering it now.

I reckon Fifa on Wii U will be the same framework and basic game as the PS3 and 360 version, the differences will probably be custom/instant tactics on the tablet controller (which will be nice) and im guessing a few mini games and the like. Strange how they've got another team to handle it, maybe that does imply more changes Wii-U specific features. I'm kind of hoping its the same game with a few upgrades, not a wii-esque kiddie style special football game we've had over the past 5 years....
-
Thats strange...but on a side note, which game do you prefer?

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed 3DS
Beaneth007 replied to MicroLovePony's topic in Nintendo Gaming
i loved diddy kong racing, i complete it (every balloon, adventure two) every other year and each time i enjoy it immensely. such a good game! the multiplayer wasnt all that great though, compared to Mario Kart, but the single player aced it.
