  1. Yeah, but seriously. Would you buy a console called the 'Starcube'? I'd think twice. If they'd kept 'Starcube' as the name, rather than Gamecube, Nintendo's time in the ring this generation would have been even shorter. The name is a huge part of brand recognition, and needs to be carefully nutted out.
  2. Asses licked? The last three matches were ridiculously close. Damn that Giles. I'm glad we won last night - Australia needs to really get behind soccer. Once it's a mainstream sport, we'll begin to pick up the pace and excel, like we do at every other sport. (Current Wallabies slump carefully avoided) But, to any Australians that watched the game, I do believe Les Murray getting down on his knees and praying to Jonny Warren after the game was a step too far.
  3. The world as we know it will end, once Gilchrist retires.
  4. People say that like it's an undisputable fact.
  5. About to shut down and fix a client's computer. They claim to have a virus. Which is really surprising seeing as they spend all day on the 'net, without any form of protection.
  6. I don't know if it counts, but I 'won' Letter of the Month in the Australian 64 mag, N64 Gamer. ...this one time.
  7. I don't know if anyone else has ever discovered it, but in 'Jabu Jabu's Belly' on OoT, in the room with all the... swirling-sink-holes in the floor, that you drop through to get to the lower level, if you go to the first hole on the right and drop through the top-left corner of it, you land in the corner of the room below, and you slip through the floor and can end up swimming around in... yellow-ness. If that makes any sense at all. But yeah. And if you swim too far, you fall off the 'edge', Link screams, then you die.
  8. The game that I have played and enjoyed the most, this generation, is NHL Hitz. While multi-platform third-party, I picked it up on Gamecube and I think I can safely say that myself, Karl and Bruiser, played it more than anyone else on the planet. It's not a very good game. But it is my favourite.
  9. ... Michael Ancel?
  10. It. is. very. amusing.
  11. I'd admit to being an Aussie cricket fan. But might wait until we get The Ashes back.
  12. The time limit created the atmosphere.
  13. My foray into gaming was through buying a packet of biscuits. I bought 'em, wrote my name on the reciept, stuck said reciept in the competition box, and won me a Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 and Diddy Kong. Vanilla cream, they were.
  14. My info: It will look very good.
  15. I wasn't expecting that to pop up. I was given a DC Talk CD by the church a few years ago - they were ok. Kind of.
  16. The only movies I've seen at a real movie theatre are Lost in Translation and LotR: Return of the King. Otherwise, every movie I've seen has been on VHS or DVD - The latest, being Shaun of the Dead. I laughed.
  17. I'm only posting these links, 'cause if I'm ever curious about something, I do some investigating to find out what's what. I now know what carbon dating is, and how it works. And if you follow this link... Carbon dating

I spy RoadKill's nipple in picture number one. And what a nipple it is.
  19. For my purposes Rome: Total War falls under the category of RTS.

    Underated

Wave Race: Blue Storm seems to have been forgotten about completely. I thought it deserved more recognition than it got. Otherwise Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outkast. Although I played and finished it on PC, I know it's on Xbox. I don't know what it was about it, but this game was pure magic.
  21. Bowser's picks were good - give those games a whirl. And why was Star Wars: Republic Commando not co-op? It would have been awesome, so long as they ramped the difficulty up a bit. And Brothers in Arms - another game that should have clearly been co-op.

    Overrated

Far Cry. Amazing Graphics? Yes. Amazing setting? Yes. Amazing AI, as claimed by gaming publications the world over? They stand right in front of you, guns pointed calling things like 'Where are you?' 'Are you hiding?' The AI in this game, after I have finished it on 'Realistic', is practically non-existant. And the story and general game-design is hollow and formulaic.
  23. I'll be online-enabled some time next year - February, March-ish. If you're all still around then, I'm yours for the pwning.
  24. After reading all the posts, except Dieter's, only Solo listed The Shins. 1. The Shins 2. Outkast 3. The Chemical Brothers 4. The White Stripes 5. Basement Jaxx ... 6. The Crystal Method
