After the Gamecube era, I moved to Taiwan. I sold everything I ever had, everything. All my possessions went, every single console and game, from the NES to Gamecube, and the handhelds in between. It could have been the end of my gaming life, and I thought it was. Then in late 2007, I chanced a quick go of the Wii. I was teaching at a Sesame Street English Cram School, and the boss was giving Japanese Wii consoles away for a few lucky students. So, he hooked one up in the hallway, and all the kids got to play Wii Sports, a sensation, and after trying it, I was sold. That weekend and a trip to a local game store, I was in possession of a Japanese Wii, Wii Sports, and Twilight Princess. The Wii rekindled my love of gaming through the power of motion.

I'm an old bastard, so I go all the way back to the NES, with the Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt dual cartridge, and that beautiful orange hunk of gun love. Kylo Ren. It's always fun when there are a lot of kids around. They're not big on Star Wars here though, so I got lots of 'Who the hell are you?' looks.

I'm loving it. The story seems to have a depth and complexity that is so lacking in most TV shows. The dialogue is questioning of the self, morality, humanity, and philosophy in general. Utterly compelling. Not to mention that Anthony Hopkins hasn't been this good in a movie for a long time. He is spell binding. I want to go back and watch all 5 aired episodes over again. I agree with @The Cape that the film lacked such insightful dialogue due to run-time. This builds on everything the movie did, and ramps it up to instant cult TV.
