Day 12 - Favourite Awful Game Can a game be awful if you enjoy it yourself? For me, it’s probably the grind fest Tank!Tank!Tank! So good, they named it thrice. It’s mindless, impossible to dodge some enemy attacks, especially incoming rockets, but the time spent with my son was priceless. There’s also a tank that shoots pizza projectiles, as the announcer yells, Dinner Time!

Day 11 - Favourite Town/Village Another weird one for me, as there was not much going on here, but I loved the layout of it. A little village nestled in a canyon, wild west style. Karkariko Village from Zelda:Twilight Princess.
-
Day 10 - Credits Sequence Not epic by today's standards, but the credits for Star Fox always got me. Probably helped by the fact the game could be blasted through in a relative short order, and then the sunset, the running, the rising Great Fox. Iconic.

Day 9 - Scary Moment Not too many I can put my finger on, but the beginning village of Resident Evil 4 threw so many villagers at you, at an unrelenting pace, that made you feel totally overwhelmed, and that chainsaw chugging away just behind you as you start to climb a ladder, gives you a sense of heightened anxiety at the least.

Limited Run Games just held their LRG3 Presentation, and there's a lot of news from them regarding physical versions of current eShop titles. I've summed up all the presentation and other recent news here;

Last week, I played through Mechstermination Force to completion with my son for the second time, and we decided to record a play-through, here’s Part 1. There'll be 6 Parts in total.

Been reading a lot of fantasy fiction for the last few years. Finishing off The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant (which I read many years ago), so I can go onto the third and final Chronicles.
-
Day 8 - Best Musical Moment So, so many to choose from, and thinking through most, they were all serious pieces, so I’ve decided to choose a tongue-in-cheek answer for this one. Playing Rhythm Heaven on the DS, I smiled at many stages, but none so much as The Chorus Kids. All together now, ahhhh! I really hope this trio can make it into Smash, too.

Day 7 - Favourite Ranged Combat A lot of thought went into this. Turok 2 had an insane arsenal of weapons, Cerebral Bore. Goldeneye transformed the FPS genre. But it was the feeling of the sniper rifle in Perfect Dark, the zoom was like nothing I’d seen before, and pixel perfect shooting to boot. Some of the other weapons were great, too, but the sniper rifle made the game for me.

Do we need to get in touch with our lawyers?

Turns out it was a mistranslation. They said that Nintendo’s secretive NDA’s even forbid them saying if they had returned for recording for the sequel. Found out after Gamexplain did some digging.
-
Day 6 - Most Relaxing Navigation Whilst not always relaxing, there was nothing that beat the feeling of soaring through the sky on a glider in Pilotwings Resort 3D.
-
And against Sainz who's replacing him next year.

gutted for Max

I use somewhat iffy means to get Sky coverage.
-
Yeah, that’s what I mean.
-
He had 2 runs though, didn’t he?
-
That’s a bit harsh. Sure in the past they just deleted the lap time and used the other one??

Episode 33 is now up at our YouTube channel.

Day 5 - 3D Platformer This could have easily been any of the Mario 3D games, well maybe not that one, but the sheer inventiveness of the Galaxy sequel pushes it above all others for me.
-
Day 4 - Favourite Villain Cube’s chosen a villain based on substance and character. Mine is purely aesthetics, and in that vain Gannondorf in his Wind Waker attire is a cut above the rest.
-
Day 3 - Local Multiplayer This was a close call between 4 games, and any one of them could have taken it. Goldeneye - 4-Player madness during my Uni years. Street Fighter 2 - SNES fighting at its best, with my two younger brothers. Super Mario Kart - once again started with my brothers, but this bled over into my Uni years, too. But, the winner is ... Sensible Soccer (Commodore Amiga). This was played pretty much everyday, with a close friend of mine from back home, and sometimes during lunch break and a quick run down to my house. So good, it made it onto a first class stamp.
