....is dead. Marvel killed him off with a snipers bullet this month. it seems strange when a major character like him dies, although often they get resurrected by some misguided writer down the line. Even the mighty Joss Whedon is guilty of it. this could be permanent though. It's such a massive end that it would seem particularly bad form to bring him back somehow. anyone else see this in the news then?

the film of A Scanner Darkly is amazing, can't speak for the novel. One Book: Catch 22 steals it for me. Easily the funniest book I've read, and stands reading again well. It's at once an utterly hilarious novel, and a biting political commentry on the way we live. facinating stuff. Runners up go to: Of Mice and Men, A Prayer for Owen Meany, 1984, A Clockwork Orange. One Film: Apocaylpse Now It's just fuckin ace innit. I love the performances, the cinemtography, the imagery, the politics, all of it. One Album. Grace also gets my vote. beautiful beyond the words of the gratest lexicographers, I simply can't say how much this album means to me.

re: smelly cats. I don't know how we managed it back in the day, but we somehow managed to make our cats adopt the great outdoors as their proverbial litter box. Now they just sit around and act awesome all the time, as cats do. cool thing with my cats is I've really earned their trust- they dislike strangers and they go batshit when I get home from uni or holiday.
