anyone read much by this guy? He's a cyberpunk writer who, in his first novel, managed to invent cyberspace, the internet, reality tv and a whole slew of themes in sci fi ever since.
he is clearly a massive G.
so yeah, any fans?
V is an alright film. But I'd compare the comparative graphic novel as a delicious sunday roast to the films cheese sandwich. Both are meals, and satisfactory, but offered one over the other...
not a patch on the graphic novel. some genuinely interesting stuff let down by 'omg teh matrix!' bollocks, unfrotunatly.
6/10. decent enough, but read the original. It's mind blowing.
Hard Boiled!
If it comes to a fight, no man can stand up after a flat fotted blow to the pills. this is scientific fact.
but really you should be able to diffuse it before that, right? You know, unless the dude is some kind of Begbe character.
I'd be the enigmatic writer. I'd spend my days in pubs. clad in velvet, armed with a scruffy but sturdy notebook and composing epic musings on the nature of life, the universe and everything.
i know there's a move towards barnsley...but don't go there!
seriously- it has a very poor rep, even if it does have a good location. Sheffield is the nearest place to barnsley worth turning up to, and there's a good few bars and nights I can reccomend for the eligable.
I just had a massive cartoon grin on my face.
so..ehh...final 4 of the five eh? liiiiitle confused by that to be quite honest. Never thought I'd see the day bob dylan cover versions were used as major plot devices in a sci fi show.
currently gorging on a Trentemoller mix of We Share Our Mother's Health by The Knife.
currently under review due to suspicion that it is, indeed, phatter than yo momma.
