yeah it's awesome. wish people played at my speed though. Guess folks are at school etc but i'm at the library all day and i like to muse on my turns during essays. would be nice to do it more than once a day..bah.

the AK is way more accrurate than the uzi. Hella powerful too. Boom!

Turkey looks stronger than they are. lots of yellow but not much of it is actually control points. Still, they're doing well. if anyone's interested in a fastish game, i have a 12 hour turn game set up called fast non gun boat with 4 places in still. it's public, but feel free to join anyway. *hopes to get England*.

I like the combat. It's punchy and action packed without being fiddly or sloppy. It's also pretty fast paced at times, espeically once you upgrade to assault rifles (fucking awesome, btw) and get to some of the bigger missions with Playboy X and Dwane on the 2nd island.

no you can't. the idea being that they're armies of your troops from your country, presumably. Things are going swimmingly in my games, except for my Italy one in which I'm being pwnd/ can't move for shit.

I agree about Gravemind but I really like the settting of the halo games. The covenant are pretty sweet, the human tech is really sweet and the chief is a baddass of epic proportions. not because of the cut scenes but because of how you play. The arbiter in 2 was also a nice touch. It did get very hammy, though. Not denying that.

Exactly. It's well done enough, and does a servicable job (unlike some of the dross in the other thread) but it's just not in the same league as the other stuff in here. also: the same plot 7 odd times or whatever is really fucking pushing it, let's be honest...

that's not true at all. maybe it's because I listen to alot of complicated stuff, but CC really don't do anything out of the ordinary with structure to me. I'm always confused when people can't see it. It's like when I played my mate Atlas by battles and he jsut called it 'noise' when it clearly has a really solid, consistent beat.

But they're not good stories. They're good set ups for the standard progression which is what Nintendo do pretty well. It's not even really a problem with the series (it has far worse, but that's another thread) but there's just no way they belong in any discussion of good game stories when you compare it to Hl2, Prince of Persia or GTA4. It's a ridiculous comparison.

from what they've said, it's a more mystical, Arabian Nights thing this time. it's not even sands of time territory. It sounds really interesting because I always liked the fairytale edge to the first game. correction: the system was actually really solid. the problem was just the sheer ammount of killing you had to do with it. Waaaay too much. Going back, the actual fights are far, far more fun that Warrior Within. Two Thrones added the stealth kills though, which made the fights really really good. Almost puzzle like.

never been! I jest, really. I jsut don't think much to the wii. The control scheme (lets be honest, the only thing that ever made it good) has been reduced to gimicky shit by a multitude of shoddy third party shovelware.

oh yeah, and fuck warrior within. It's so, so shit. The other two are two of the finest games on any last gen system, however.
