  1. Spider-Man has been a great Avenger. Wolverine not so much.
  2. That'd make sense. Quote fits, a new identity is quite likely. I'm concerned these Avengers teams are a bit sparse on the woman front. More chicks, please.
  3. That looks sickeningly good. Holy shit.
  4. There was promo art a while back. He also looks a bit like the brilliant Fantomex
  5. That's War Machine. Won't he need a new suit now he's not a cyborg or whatever?
  6. The Road Rock solid adaptation of McCarthy's bleak novel. Hillcoat should get an oscar for the stunning detail of the dying world he's created. Mortensen delivers another knock out performance too- emaciated, worn and filthy, he looks and acts the pure survivor. The Boy, too, is genuinely good. He delivers a naturalistic performance that really convinces. The two of them together really carry the theme of the novel on to the screen too, with their relationship as father and son, teacher and student really feeling fully formed. Me and Jayseven agreed, however, that there was perhaps something missing. Perhaps it's that the book conveys only a haunting silence in the world while Hillcoat includes storms, falling timbers and firestorms throughout. The music, too, haunting and mournful as it is, still brings a humanity to a landscape expressly devoid of any. The film was also too short or too focused to fully convey the drudgery of their scavengers life. The book brilliantly conveys their desperate routine, with events coming slow and far between. The film feels compressed by comparison and less effective. It's still a real achievement and a must see. They really pulled it off. Considering how bad it could have been, it's pretty much a perfect adaptation.
  7. If that's not Noh-Varr as the new Captain Marvel, I'll eat my hat.
  8. She's dead.
  9. He's really not.
  10. ahh. It looks really similar. Never mind!
  11. The Walking Dead TV Pilot is due to film in May Fall schedules, anyone? and Akira lives.
  12. Dan of trees: you're not in Sheffield are you? looks alot like those photos are in our beloved Botanical Gardens.
  13. but the mako sucked massive hairy gonads.
  14. I was wondering that. Although they formed a really complete arc, and don't necessarily need to come back, I'd like to see more of them, or at least more time spent on House dealing with his time there. Possibly a hook for the inevitably INTENSE series finale?
  15. OK....Tits and a cape....Any ideas? New look for, dare I say it, Wanda Maximoff?
  16. I actually love how streamlined it is. Mass Effect, for all its pros, was a flabby number at best and needed this kind of trim down- it's created so much more playable game. If you compare the loyalty missions with the identikit planets and crap side missions from the first it's such a huge improvement. Ditching the loot was another bold, worthwhile move. Really, they're just reducing loot > trash> cash to straight cash, which works. With all the upgrades, the 'loot' is decided by you from inside the Normandy. Also, the research terminal gives The Normandy a new sense of identity. You're part of Cerberus, with the Normandy as the tip of the spear in front of all this cutting edge science. It sounds silly in wiring but I really got behind the fiction of it.
  17. I'm convinced Fresh's entire posting career here at N-Europe was just build up to the above.
  18. House Awesome sauce ep about Cuddy rather than House. Follows the same formula as the recent ep Wilson, with House only really featuring as comedy interjection with a totally bizarre case that runs as background to the episode. Good times. I doubt they'll go for any more of these though as the underlings get enough time anyway and there's nobody else worth doing an episode on.
  19. Haha Uni is awesome atm. played around with some video software today after yesterday's filming session. Kind of makes me wish I did broadcast, but really I'm a features man. only problem is that it ran about as fast as an amputee with a torn ballsack. All the classes on technical software running at once are absolutely shafting the network. Happy times that I have my own Adobe suite at home because when the project we do next comes to deadline, there's no fucking way I'm doing my edits at uni.
  20. I've died several times because of that. Firefights are generally fun though. The enemies generally have more armour etc so powers matter more- good for my biotic she-pard.
  21. Guice joins Brubaker on Captain America
  22. eh....What?
  23. Eugh. Moon Knight is ghey. Would be more than willing to invest in the notion of one of two esteemed doctors filling the role, mind.
  24. They better un-blank these at the end of the week. I have absolutely no idea who that is.
