  1. I really hate stock issues! Went to buy the pink and blue yarn yoshi from my local GAME and they didn't know they existed (or at least the two on the counter) they'd only relieved about 30 green ones
  2. As much as i like thanks on posts, if its making it seem like battle lines are drawn and that only certain people like certain people than i'd be upset but willing for them to go i generally like posts if i agree with any of the content, i've not really noticed a trend of sides likeing people on their side (uhhhh sides) but i'm sure if i go looking i'll notice it
  3. 100 levels? thats old mario game realms! that is awesome!
  4. Only tried the first two levels last night and i have to admit at first it felt more new yoshi's island than yoshi's island, but i can't put my finger on it, by the end of that second level i had this nostalgic feeling like Yoshi's Island....so if i've got that after two levels this could be good! and the art style..i'd swear it was all knitted and not animated!
  5. wierd thing is...this thread for the most part has been great, lots of discussion, members who i've missed returning to make posts, why can't we always be like this?
  6. I suppose this will be a long post, and since I’m at work I’m going to write it in the middle of an email and pretend to be working (which I do every day so nothing different) I should also preface this with an intention, this is meant o be quite jovial and neutral, nobody should take offense, you are all awesome in your own way, and all assholes in your own way too, I know I am! I’ve seen the problem and I hope I’m not considered part of the problem, I try to be balanced in my positivity and negativity of all things PC (Master race), Sony and Nintendo (Mirosoft can suck it ;p ) Joking aside some members are very passionate on the board and when they come into another member who is equally as passionate (but holding an opposite view on that topic) it rubs people up the wrong way – IF THEY LET IT! I’d say Serebii, Wii, Ronnie, Sheikah and Dazzybee, have certainly been the ones I’ve seen being the most vocal and perhaps argumentative recently, to a lesser degree others have been vocal, but more in the sense of perhaps getting dragged into arguments when previous discussions have been mentioned and or their “normal” comments in a thread have been included in a larger post that’s a bit antagonistic There’s probably more of us that have got involved in these arguments, I know I have too, but I think that’s a symptom of the problem, it has a butterfly effect drawing us all in. I don’t necessarily think anyone person is at fault or any one view, it’s all certainly down to a problem I find with the written word over the internet and text messages – they lose context, they lose the subtle nuances you’d get from a face to face, the tone of voices, the cheeky smirks, they eye rolls – all those things that let people take things in the way they were intended gets lost (it’s a wider internet problem that’s ridiculously evident on reddit, neogaf, tumblr etc) Its all about how people say what they feel, its fine to offer counter views to people’s opinions and enter discussions, but some people on both sides of this ‘divide’**(well come back to this) are automatically on the defensive, and feel they need to defend X Y and Z – not just Nintendo, other defend the PS4, lets not pretend it’s a one way defence. This I think is partly due to past histories and arguments! Glen-I mentioned how people jump on Serebii and that’s all down to past comments he’s made – the one that sticks in my mind was when the Circle Pad Pro was announced discussion shifted to would Nintendo release an upgraded 3ds down the line incorporating it and Serebii was adamant it wouldn’t happen, for a number or reasons which he passed off as facts* so when the new 3ds was announced that obviously came back to bite him, I’m sure he regrets his adamance (although perhaps not his interpretation of events at the time) now. * Serebii’s use of facts and truths in his posts comes across as arrogance – as I’ve said before this is probably a lot to do with lost nuances with it being the written word, but also I think to a degree his semantics and/or interpretation of facts – one man’s freedom fighter is another mans terrorist so to speak. It’s my understanding that what Serebii passes off as fact are more interpretations and conclusions drawn from other things (and perhaps if he framed it as that he’d get off some of the abuse purely by that inbuilt ambiguity), he keeps up on the industry, looks into statements, investors briefing etc and like a detective draws conclusions, and ‘unfortunately’ (further to feed arrogance) he has been right far far more than he’s been wrong, so he probably does believe with a degree of certainty that he’s right and a ‘truth finder’ That has certainly set up a climate of schadenfreude so when he get it wrong people do take pleasure in pointing it out, some as a gently matey sort of ribbing, others as a more schadenfreude situation where they just have no time for him so do look favourably on it. @Serebii, now I hope I didn’t offend or annoy you too much with that analysis of how I think you post, I have the greatest respect for you and your site (even if its stuck in the 90’s ;p get some flash on there!) and do feel you do get targeted sometimes a little unfairly when you were genuinely being sarcastic, but as I’ve said, sarcasm is lost in text I could try and single out all those I’ve mentioned, I’ve only mentioned serebii because he keeps getting brought up, generally its as I’ve said a case of people being overly defensive based on past instances and assuming the worst from the get go. On to that divide! Seriously we all ALL! Need to drop this us verses them attitude, we do all see it to an extent, even if it’s a genuine belief in this conspiracy or as a joke of the conspiracy, we all see it and need to make an effort to try and stop it continuing, theres no need! None of us need brand loyalty, we are all gamers we are here for the games on any and all formats, if any company does bad we should criticise and we should acknowledge the mistakes, but equally what goes right TL : DR Two things One: When you write a post, don’t hit post, re read it, then re read it in a happy voice, then an angry voice, then a sarcastic voice. Then ask yourself how will it get viewed and see if you can re-word anything so it gets interpreted in the way you intended Two: if you post something and someone disagrees, limit how many times you will go back and forth over a point! Realistically there only needs to be three post over a point; the initial post, the counter post and the “I may/may not agree but accept AND resect your OPINION” post STEALTH EDIT/NOT AN ACTUAL EDIT JUST MORE POSTS SINCE I WROTE WAR AND PEACE People do need to learn when a topic has been done to death NOBODY should be banned here, as I said everyone is equal parts awesome and ass hole
  7. Stoke that man a Klipper! he can come back for breakfast
  8. I had something similar with Windows 7 where it would do that, and it seems that an update had failed and tried to install when i booted up, then obviously restarted when it thought it was done....only it seemed to always fail Manually installed the update fixed that, no idea if it could be simialr with you though
  9. Thank @Cube,i'd began to think it was coming out on tuesday with Batman, its crazy charging 7 days before release on Yoshi's Wooly World which certainly isn't going to be massively popular
  10. Has anyone got their shopto order yet? they took money from me on Friday and emailed me about the account charge and processing
  11. So basically the DS ones........which i'd agree are the worst, wit only the CDI games being worse than them
  12. ALBW is one of the best Zelda games, any reviewer that looks down on it just because its top down aka an old style is an idiot (on invariably i've seen the same ones praise indie games that are side scrollers)
  13. Blame the red eye on a KFC supercharger meal, the spices reacted with you badly......then finish your date with a KFC and a supercharger meal, just exclaim you love them despite the pain
  14. You know I'm pretty hyped for the zelda game
  15. Story wise i was hoping it would centre on the dark tribe and its rituals using a mask worn by their ruler, who during the course of the game is defeated but his power slips into a mask thats picked up by a salesman
  16. I said myself that i thought 2016 would be a new console launch, but was told it was unrealistic, but given e3 it has become more realistic If there is only 2 games, could they both be cross gen launch titles for NX? the positive spin of the poor e3 is that it almost certain that new third pillar NX is coming sooner rather than later
  17. Perhaps they've changed the visual style of Link, there were complaints that it seemed less animated than previous iterations of him I suspect perhaps they've had some issues and have held back showing it so as not to make it look unimproved Or maybe Miyamoto came along and did a TP and decided to shoe horn gannon in
  18. have they said if they'll patch in character switching to the WiiU version? it seems like a no brainer to do
  19. off the game cannot be final, unless they ported a potential 3DS game to WiiU still it looks fun enough, just disappointing in context of that direct
  20. I wonder if he realised that idea he had 10 years ago would turn out to be so "warmly" received The graphics on it are just so bad, if it looked a bit more polished it might have been more warmly received, although really its the metroid nobody wanted at all - a 2d or 3d adventure on the 3DS has been craved since (Fusion)and (Hunters) and thats ignoring the obvious console iteration that's so desired
  21. All the games we've seen for WiiU are out Q4 2015 or sooner right? do we know of any other games coming in say Q1 2016? If we don't would it be safe to say the first half of 2016 is the swan song of the WiiU and perhaps the end of 2016 could see an NX launch (even if its just Japan) Lets try to be less negative and more speculative of a possible future, i think we've all done to death how bad Nintendo have been perceived to handle E3, but perhaps that s because lots of first and third party games are coming for NX and they obviously couldn't announce that. I suspect its an apple like situation/PC like situation with Handheld/Console (NX) I suspect the games could run on any system running the os, with automatic graphics settings based on the hardware, but more than that, saves and games are cross system - so in a sense its separate and hybrid, its quite possible the handheld could be used as a second screen controller The WiiU controller could sync with the main "console" perhaps for that second screen experience if you had one Obviously i'd expect games made for dedicated hardware options but i suspect this is potentially how its a hybrid and not - the OS allows for games to potentially run on multiple hardware options meh its one theory

  23. Reggie "Online is the Air we breathe" Fills-Amie there with a really PR savvy statement
  24. Lets not all jump on Serebii, he does agree it was a bad show, he's tying to find the silver lining of something but obviously becoming defensive of other bits In a way he cold have a point with the Shenmue kick starter, now assuming they have the same budget as Shenmue (47 million) then only 2million is from the kickstarter, so that could mean Sony have put up 45million or potentially pledged it, if shenmue hadn't reached that kickstarter goal would the project be shelved? its a reasonable question. if it was going to be funded anyway why the kickstarter? was it just a massive pre-order interest gauge? that said if Square came out with a kickstarter for Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain/Soul reaver franchise tomorrow, i'd pledge like there was no tomorrow
