1) What's your dream job? Games developer! i even went to University and did a BSC in Computing (aiming to speciaise in Multimedia programming the sub course on programming for films, Tv and other media), got to the gap year when we were to do a placement and even sent out letters to a few places (including Rockstar Leeds, didn't hurt to try) However life screwed me, I worked in McDonalds and whislt working one night it was robbed and i was hit round the head a half dozen times with a hatchet - "thankfully" the hammer like end and not the blade. Long story short i was off work and Uni for the best part of 3 months, missing my end of year exams. The uni was understanding and i could resit that year the following year The following year came......and they'd dropped the multimedia specialization leaving the choices of databases and web design, with no alternate course to move to, to continue doing what i want and the prospect of paying to do something i didn't want and then doing another costly course to get where i wanted i took the uneasy decision to drop out. so i dropped out and..... 2) What are you actually doing? I got a job for Leeds City Council as a trainee Civil Engineer, they paid for me to do a Civil Engineering course, 5 years of Training later and i was a qualified civil engineer spending my days designing on AutoCad. The downside to which being having 70% of my time spend doing paper work, answering public correspondence (mainly asking for unreasonable things?) or meetings. Its a job which i can enjoy, the design work and problem solving can be incredibly rewarding, the special projects which i've worked on planning (like the Tour De' Yorkshire) and impressive to add to CV's and its quite easy to do additional training to deal with other engineering sub sets - architecture, flood risk management etc 3) Did you ever envision yourself in what you're doing now? No Not in a million years. I always thought i'd end up designing on computers, but designing civil engineering works wasn't on the radar. To me i wanted to develop games or work in the film industry doing CGI (Jurassic park really had an effect on me). Back then i knew the public sector was hated and not appreciated due to the persistent media campaign to set working man against working man as a distraction to the real issues. Even now i hate admitting where i work, it starts as a joke but there is truth in it, but people always go "oh are you responsible for..." and proceed to moan about the public sector, road works, dog mess, bins, you name it

Agent Gibbs replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Other Consoles
I held off on the HD remakes because they were on the PS3 and i've transitioned to PS4 now, thinking i could see a PC release or PS4 release, so i'm very happy now -

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!

interesting and 'informative' story on IGN today (when exactly did they become so awful?) Headline: its confirmed the Switch will have no backwards compatibility Then the video elaborates to no WiiU & 3DS backwards compatibility Then states its sources as....you can see there is no disk slot and the card slot is different to 3DS So thats more of a "it's Likely that there will be no Physical backwards compatibility", theres been no information on if any digital software is supported by a virtual console that sort of shit reporting is what causes customer confusion -

I get what @Retro_Link is saying, there has been a lot of nobody asked for this games - Federation Force being the easiest example, but also changes to certain game series, the paper mario games are no longer what they were when they were successful and despite poorer sales of the altered series nintendo has released more with this changed format i.e speaking with our wallets hasn't worked. I'm sure some would argue Captain Toad is another game nobody asked for, a mini game from one series dragged into its own stand alone, i'd say that worked though. -
Skeleton key should be very useful as the loot drops from chests goes up to LL390 if i remember rightly, and as long as you know which strikes drop what you can then guarantee a drop for the equipment you need at a higher level I wish i could get consistent skeleton key drops How did the raid go? did anyone try out the swords?

I'm not sure i want to Watch the Walking Dead any more? it just feels physically draining watching the show, or did last season because it had become so bleak, to the point where it feels like every episode is the gruesome death of the week, or the build up to the gruesome death. I've read some of the comics before, and stopped reading around this point in the overall story because it became so bleak. I know who's going to die tonight, the only 'shock' might be if more than one dies and if that occurs its a very very short list of who will, with my money on one person who's death was stolen recently by another character, the actual thought of having to watch it makes me sad, that and spoiler free reviews actual say it is very graphic even for TWD standards, so its starting to feel almost like a snuff film to me. I don't know, do i give it an episode or two to see if it picks up? i'm blind to the story now, but i just don't have the heart or stomach to every week sit down and go 'here we go' and wait for the shock death

Nvidia game share? I'd not even dared to dream of possibilities of allowing the switch to operate like an Nvidia Shield! Fuck if they actually allowed that or similar then......that actually would be a megaton! -

There seems to be more rumours flying around of Gaf from Laura Dale (who was spot on with the Leaks along with Rodgers) that the dock actually has some effect on the way it works, either by a direct boost to performance through some cleaver chipset or it simply provides a power/cooling option so the Switch overclocks and performs better LINKY But also rumors of 3 hour portable battery life - no word on if that with everything set to max, but Ninty do usually quote max performance figures for battery performance, and slow consider this is leaks based on Dev units, so perhaps retail models will have a larger battery (or option?) If it does indeed boost performance in console mode, that should counter some doubt, and it makes sense not giving details on it just yet as it could confuse the message. Right now i have to say nintendo are on point with the way and amount of message they've revealed, looks good, hype built and desire for more info is at fever pitch -
nintendo is trying to reclaim the hardcore adult gamer, flayed skin is fine coming soon a Gritty Mario reboot, kill enemies wear their skin and kidnap the princess

I'm sure i saw an article somewhere of a 1TB card recently -
To be honest thats actually a good thing and maybe something nintendo have already considered - For years Nintendo consoles have been relegated into second console territory for most gamer, which inevitable end up being a choice between a handheld and a second console. Well the Switch if all else fails can fall into that position and fill that void Now if its actually a contender as Blade hopes (me too to be honest) with ports then it could also leech from the primary console market, the gamers who look for that console experience, but like the added option of portability. If it it took anyones market share its likely Microsofts, Sony have VR that give them a USP, Xbox really lacks that now, especially with dual releases on PC
