Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (December 2017)
Agent Gibbs replied to Dog-amoto's topic in General Chit Chat
Thats probably along the right lines, after all Jedi and Sith are both plural as well as singular so it fits eitherway. Not sure why everyone thinks Luke will get killed off -
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (December 2017)

Well Luke is the last Jedi, Rey is barely an apprentice at the start of VIII, by the end of it there could be more Jedi -
I'm amazed how many people have Kodi boxes and don't understand how it works and how its illegal My girlfriend is in the TA and her senior officer recommended she got a Kodi box and get shot of Sky because you get all the same programmes for free. when I said it was illegally streaming/downloading she actually called up this 50 odd year old bloke and asked him and he said it was perfectly legal - like you Rez - because it was from Amazon After a lengthy argument chat I had to show my girlfriend several consumer websites for her to believe me! I think people are ignorant of what these things are and because its become so common place the Police are slow to knock off these things

What the hell does an oppressed former communist state have to do with the Switch? are they being manufactured there? -

Probably is shit luck, but i'm currently hating my controller, I blame the 400hours of destiny! And Phone Screens! I don't get how people smash them so frequently Just catching up and were on vocie chat again.......That quote is just all over the place and so vague! It can't be solely Phone App for voice chat/lobbies etc it just can't be! This surely has to be ANOTHER case of nintendo not communicating their meaning. I truely believe it has OS voice chat but with a very good app to control it on your phone that gives you options the alternative is just insane! what about people with dumb phones? Windows or Blackberry? how would your phone even manage a lobby for an online game and link up seamlessly with the audio etc? surely it introduces a Lag If this was any other company we wouldn't even be considering they'd go that route, but this is nintendo and sometimes they embrace the crazy -

Not that i'm disagreeing with your whole point (the pad is too expensive, so are the PS4 and Xbox ones too) but fuck me the DS4 is not a solid pad! Most of my Friends have PS4's, i regularly go to 4 of their houses for parties, to chill etc and play some Rocket League, Fifa or something. Between the four houses there are 10 pads and all bar about 3 have destroyed thumb stick rubbers My own DS4 died this last week, the R2 will no longer register a full pull of the trigger, which I discovered on Final Fantasy 15 where Controls for Chocobo are Trot using R2 and Sprint Square, but you can only sprint when fully at trotting speed. After testing it on other games some worked, some didn't depending on how much of a trigger pull it needed. Took it apart and the rubbers over the circuit board get split open by the shape of the back of the trigger (googled it and its a known fualt), I tried every quick fix and none worked and resorted to buying a replacement piece That too has now stopped working as it seems the actual board if probably damaged now because i'd obviously been adjusting pressure on the sensor to compensate for it lacking in sensitivity. Whilst i had it apart i discovered what the rattle its always had was - a random screw just loose in the casing, with no hole it was meant to be in, so just a spare in the casing from being manufactured Its the worst pad i've ever owned for reliability second only to the WiiU Gamepad, where the rumble now squeeks so has to be left off (not paying £90 for it repairing) I think Sony, Nintendo (can't say for MS but i'd hazard the guess) have all started producing inferior pads that are poorly manufactured so as to put in extra tech....... and then charge a premium for it! -

So.......uhhhh......do the nintendo store take money up front? or on shipping? I've already ordered breath of the wild for switch at amazon's lower price of £47, i just kind of need the console to play it on now -
how about Ashley and DiscountAshley? or if one of you has facial hair they can be called Mustache I've always been Chris but when i worked somewhere and a Kris joined they started calling us by our surnames, not overly keen on that In highschool, whilst on the bus home some guy who thought he was funny called me Chipmunk because he said i looked like the ones in the cartoon, more specifically Theodore not even the cool one! - he promptly got a black eye

Its a piss take that they've basically given you a plastic wiiwheel to hold them - I winged in the other thread about this, the charging one basically has some contacts in slots to line up with the joy con, some wires, a bit of circuitry board and a USB C! Seriously that would be next to nothing cost wise for the components and they are already had both types in production so its not as if there were set up costs! its just Nintendo being unreasonably tight and realising they can have another revenue source

I didn't have patience with it at all, I mentioned above to daft I hated it, still do although I persevered with it following the advice - I actually broke my controller with fishing, the R2 button had lost sensitivity and wouldn't fully depress, and now its screwed Its just tedious, with hard fish you only really should briefly tap the R2 button when the controller is barely vibrating, and some of the boss fish later in the quests are awful, one breaks the line if you aren't careful (Gar) and the next one just has so much health it took 40/50min to catch it however after that fishing is/was easy Just up to Zegnatus keep, to the point where I can make use of Umbra again Is this Chapter 13? because I can see why people say there is no story! only a few reports about that you can work out whats gone on (unless there are some cut scenes coming) It really feels like you should have had some cut scenes about what was happening here whilst you were on the train or something

I'm the same, i'm hyped for the console, i'm just very deflated on price and I hate to lay blame but those leaks were convincing and given how tight money is right now It seemed too good to be true I won't pre-order but I intendto trade in somethings and get one close too it -
I'm the same, only loooooads earlier in the game! just got to Altissia (chapter 9?) I've done all the fishing side quests, gem stone guy side quests, regalia side quests (well headlights? assuming that's the end) and I've got all bar 4 arms? hunter rank 5 and i'm level 66 think i'm way overlevelled, but it is still loads of fun

I can feel myself caving I've got quite a few games I could trade in, my A link between worlds 3DS XL and then i'll have around £100-150 stil think its too expensive, if it had a pack in *cough* 1, 2 switch *cough* USB hDD is great news! my ps4 hard drive (OG) can have a use and a hilarious one at that! Good to here Skyrim is based on the PC/Special edition and shut up the scare mongering idiots, just need Fifa confirmations and Some confirmation on the OS party chat, which seems so likely since you can buy headsets, I mean why sell them if its expecting you to use a mobile phone? -

Oh sweet jesus, the pack in joycon grip is not the charging grip! its just like a wiiwheel and holds them! its £30 extra for the charging grip! THIS this is what im talking about with nintendo's fetish for unnecessary peripherals that you sort of need and thus have to give them more money for! I can live with out it, most could, but actually including the USB C connection a tiny circuit board and the connectors to allow charging is an absolute pittance of extra components to manufacture, its hilarious in that producing two items but one with tiny electronics, probably costs nintendo more than it would to just make one with the power pass through and just pack that in! no wonder they want £30 for a glorified adaptor to charge the joycon off the tablet fuck me nintendo, you've been toking that joint too long! Puff puff Give motherfucker! puff puff give! -

I don't know but the more i think about it, aside from miscommunicated online features the main issue with the Switch is the price and even then its not that bad a price - Everyone intially expected such a price with the original rumours, but then fairly believable rumours from a variety of different sources started saying £250 (possibly with a pack in) then rumours of £200 - i think because so many leaks were spot on everyone was taken in The issue however over price is highlighted perfectly with the accessories/controllers - £40 a control, £69 a pair, £69 for the pro controller, games relating at £60, we are talking a good 30-40% more than the competition offer the same sort of products with similar tech and games which value is entirely subjective! If you can get over the console cost (which i think i am) its that additional hidden cost that is the real stinger, especially since Nintendo have had a hard on for additional peripherals since the Wii era i cynically think nintendo is doing a soft launch and testing the waters on die hard fans, with a price drop and more games post E3 and more towards the holidays -
In theory i could afford it, i like the system a lot and i NEED Zelda, but i'm buying a house this month i need every penny i can get. i'd stupidly bought into the idea of a £200 console and was tempted to pre-order at gameseek, but thinking that would be the RRP or close to, i waited for Nintendo themselves to pre-order from! oh how i was wrong Now i could just about justify the £200, i've got some stuff to sell and will likely make that money, but the £340 i'm gonna need? sure i could but for one game i can unfortunately wait I don't know, i could sell more stuff but i've too much going on right now to actually go to the effort for a system i'll only realistically have zelda on until May? June? i should just wait until then

I suppose on the bright side i only want Zelda at launch and then maybe Mario kart in April, so it would be cheaper for me.. but then the downside then is why buy it before April? could i wait even longer? I don't think i'm getting it at launch at this rate -

Are you sure they aren't? they'd never have gamecube levels of travel but if it feels slightly like they do then its possible they are or use some clever pressure sensitivity coupled with some hardware shenanigans Clinging to that hope of Gamecube VC -

Do you manually type quote or do i have split personality and i'm just finding out i'm also Jimbob? I'm starting to think i'm right about the voice chat being OS level and the APp thing is they typical miscommunication on nintendos part I noticed a lot of the accessories are headphones with inline remotes/mic's and when ive checked GAF i'm not the only one to notice, some have even pointed out that the English language sites label the top port as a headphone jack, but the Japanese site lists it as a headphone AND mic jack I think Nintendo have fucked the message with online.......AGAIN! -

I'm agree with Drahkon, its a selling point - you are paying for a previously free services, which now has added benefits to offset the cost. Not that i don't agree that 99% of games do not get played after the first month, its not entirely true! With the PSN i get 12 free PS4 games, 12 free PS3 Games and 12 free Vita games a year (technically more if you count cross buy) of those games there have been a few i've played to death each year and has on occasion prevented me buying the game at retail (Metal Gear Revengence, Wipeout, Uncharted, Xcom, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, etc etc)*list of EU psplus games* and to me those games offset the cost and make it like i've got free online whilst buying a game To dismiss the entire programme as unwanted freebee's you ignore is incredibly exaggerated and completely undervalues the appeal of getting free games! Imagine if the sub service costs £20 for the year and out of the 12 games you get, super mario world, A link to the past, and mario kart - that breaks even on the price right there -

Have they royally fluffed communication of the online service? one game free for a month could jsut be poor communication as PSN does that, you get one free game for a month period then a new game is out....but you keep what you download, perhaps thats the same with this and the online chat bit could also be ambiguous, as its an app, could it be an app that is on the Switch but also can be managed from a smart phone whilst in game, like apps on the PS4? this is Nintendo they often struggle to communicate things (i assume every press release is signed off only by upper management who want to streamline them and remove 'waffle' unfortunately leading to this) so it could be that The alternative is that nintendo have really gone off the deepend with online: - paid online holding online play behind a pay wall, with their version free monthly gift being a free trial and; online chat and lobbies only accessible through an app on a smart phone, so if you haven't got smart phone you can't use them That just cannot be true, its completely counter intuitive and cannot compete with anyone, even if they don't regard them as direct competitors, i swear this just has to be porr communications...........again! fair play to them though 90% of it was communicated well, the concept was on point
