  1. Which of us was your target, Dedede?
  2. Was anyone else unable to target Cube? Was Cube a random first choice for night 1, DuD?
  3. Finally got round to watching The nutella bit was my favourite, it had me laughing for the whole sketch!
  4. Heavy loss for the first night As for myself, last night I received a message from a mystery source. "The Asari has the power to reflect those who come nearby" I have no idea what it means as I haven't played the games.
  5. Yeah you should be able to make official posts, that'd be cool if you could do that :p
  6. Pretty damning surname really... k sorry I'll stop
  7. Personally I like to put on some reggae, paint my nails and get a bit emotional but hey... nowoman, nocry
  8. But not everyone wants to be homo... there's certainly a variation with that particular phrase. Is it offensive if you don't want to be gay? I don't want to be gay but that shouldn't offend people who are gay. I also don't want to be a fisherman. I'm agreeing more with Daft in this whole discussion. Gay is more than slang, it's an official word and a whole culture of people define themselves with it. Yes there's 'new' meaning to the word which people now see as meaning lame or whatever... but put yourselves in their shoes. If you are a gay person and you hear someone saying something is gay because it's broken or they just don't like it, how could you not be offended by that? I very much agree that context is everything when it comes to offending someone but some words are just inherently offensive whether you mean them to be or not. I don't like the idea of there being words you're not allowed to say but what if (mega stretch hypothetical here) an alien race came to Earth and they used the word 'human' but for them it meant something negative. They would be referring to horrible things as being 'human', would you not be offended just because you would naturally make the connection in your own mind, even if you knew they weren't intentionally causing offense?
  9. Alliances Eights United, AC Elites, Bayer Neverlusen: 25 Madpool, Hadens Rangers and Recall United: 22 Intergalactico Stars, Fedex United, Leeds M.O.T: 19 Real Peeps, Coloccini FC and Andys All Stars: 9 Spotlight Intergalactico Stars win the spotlight this week as the only team to enter, come on guys :p Spotlight winners: Week 1 - Intergalactico Stars Week 2 - Atlético Aqui1a Week 3 - Intergalactico Stars I had been writing up reports when I've had time and was going to finally post them this week but I got really, really sick so they might be up later today or over the weekend.
  10. Spotlight Spotlight this week is on Bayer Neverlusen vs Leeds M.O.T, please predict the outcome and ball possession
  11. I can see that having a town group such as this can be viewed as too advantageous for the town... I like to try new things with these games and in terms of the mechanics, roles and interactions, I think it went quite well. I think the suggestion that town groups should be no more than 2 players is a good one though. Overall did people enjoy the game?
  12. Yeah they used their tip-off which saved Tales
  13. Roles: Mafia: Town Militia: A trio of highly trained professional cops brought together for the sole job of taking down the mafia. Can perform a night kill in place of all three player’s night action. If a civilian is killed the squad will be disbanded and stripped of all night powers, they will retain their right to vote. If any one of the three is targeted for a night kill, it will fail – but only once. Once in the game you can plant a bug for a tip-off of a night victim. You will save the player’s life. *pick a player's home instead of the actual player (to see anyone going in and out) or you can choose to stake out the bar (a common meeting point). Town: Neutral:
  14. You haven't played in many of my games before have you? there was no reason for the players to trust each other just because they were in a team. I think Cube was quite mistrusting at first but they worked out quickly enough that they could trust each other I guess. While they did not have to target each other, I don't think this created that much of an imbalance. But you could redirect and roleblock while protecting yourselves from being misdirected. Jimbob also had quite an innocent role which could've gained information for you. You can't just list what you don't have and forget what you do have. The mafia dominated most of the game and you had confidence enough to come out with that lynch train so I wouldn't say you felt it was that tough until just afterwards. Aqui1a redirected mr-paul and DuD to each other. I decided who had the advantage with a flip of a coin, I won't pretend I wasn't happy that Aqui1a came out on top after the mafia had spent most of the game using him as a pawn. The town militia used their kill power on DuD but DuD's last action was to target Tales who was roleblocked for the following night phase (he was the one who was shot in the shoulder in the write-up). Jimbob attempted to kill Cube but their one-time protection prevented the kill. and @Rummy it was Jimbob that killed you :p they had discovered your power the previous night.
  15. It doesn't have as much of an impact as you think. If we go back to night 5, Cube & co nearly killed Aqui1a and not DuD. If they had done that, the mafia would've had majority in the day phase thanks to DuD's double vote. There are a number of different ways this game could've gone, some more likely than others, but I don't think this game was unfair or unbalanced. I think the mafia's only mistake was coming out too early with that voting, which was made more obvious with Sheikah thanking all the mafia votes. If you had held off for one more phase, you would've had victory handed to you.
  16. Majority has been reached! The town were certain of Jimmy Cartel's guilt. They rounded on him quickly, giving him little time to prepare a defence. Jimmy Cartel has been lynched. He was the last remaining member of the mafia. Jimbob is no longer in the game. 15 Players: @Mr\-Paul @Jon Dedede @Nintendohnut @Jonnas @Magnus Peterson @Diageo Roles to come later. Winners: Cube Jon Dedede Tales Aqui1a Nintendohnut Cube, Jon Dedede and Tales were a team. They had 3 abilities which they could use if they were all alive. The first prevented any of them from being night killed (the mafia would fail the first time but would then be able to kill any of them). Their second ability was to be able to perform a night kill but if they killed a townie they would lose all abilities and only retain the right to vote. The third was to be able to use a tip-off to save the life of whoever would be night-killed for the night they used it. It may seem overpowered but there were abilities the mafia had too and all three of them had to stay alive. Cube played very well for the town, even after losing his night power.
  17. Night Six The Town Militia were out in full force tonight despite one of their group being injured. The remaining mafia would still be planning a hit and it was up to them to stop them. They drove around town for a while trying to find a likely victim when they picked up a message on the radio. They had tuned it to a frequency supposedly being used by the mafia and they must've driven in range! They were shocked when they overheard the mafia's target was actually one of them! Realising no one in the town was in danger besides themselves, the town militia bravely decided to run away and hide for the night. 6 Players: @Jon Dedede @Nintendohnut Dead: Diageo Yvonne Sheikah Rummy Magnus Peterson Jonnas Marcamillian DuD Mr-Paul Day Seven Majority is 4
  18. I wish no one had updated this thread... I wasn't even thinking of Game of Thrones and now I've been reminded how close the next season is, I'll be anticipating it all the more!
  19. Weekend for me = 12 and a half hour shift at work today and at least 9 hours tomorrow... might be able to start tomorrow night though :p
  20. Not sure what version to get... might end up being Wii U if they do something interesting with it... otherwise it'll be xbox or playstation. I'm not sure if I'll get a ps4 or the new xbox... the only thing putting me off the playstation at the moment in the controller.
  21. Alliances Eights United, AC Elites, Bayer Neverlusen: 24 Madpool, Hadens Rangers and Recall United: 23 Intergalactico Stars, Fedex United, Leeds M.O.T: 21 Real Peeps, Coloccini FC and Andys All Stars: 10 Spotlight The spotlight this week was on Intergalactico Stars vs DuDs Baggies. Aqui1a got it spot on by guessing 7 chances total (result was 6-1 to inter) and a score of 3-0 (exactly right). Winners: Week 1 - Intergalactico Stars Week 2 - Atlético Aqui1a
  22. No it was just that random floating 'OK' in the middle of the text box on the reply page and I couldn't type anything. It hasn't done it since and it was fine once I refreshed the page. Cleared my cache again and that's fixed the unclickable buttons for me.
  23. Just noticed, when I'm viewing a thread none of the links at the top of the page are clickable. The banner is fine but anything between that and the first quote/thanks buttons of the first post are unclickable e.g Redshell has the first post on this page for me, I can't click his name but I can click to quote or thank his post... I also can't click any of the page numbers at the top (but I can at the bottom) or anything in the user cp/faq/community bar. This is only when I'm viewing a thread. I'm on Firefox and using the default theme.
  24. Outclassed by Odwinica today. No competing with that!
