Balloon Fishing and Other Obscure Job Roles
The Peeps replied to Ashley's topic in General Chit Chat
Sometimes they send one of us out to clean the car park... not a job you'd expect to do when you're working in a pub/restaurant, particularly when you're only armed with a bin bag. It's a stupid and pointless thing to be told to do. -

1 year closer to 2012 and the end of all things....

haha just remembered the first 2 minutes where Jez gropes Zara. Dyson, you can take the awkward silence that surely followed as a tribute to Peep Show at least?

If we're going by games played to completion the most then it's definitely something from the N64 era for me. There are a few contenders, Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart (if you include going through each grand prix every time as completing it), Lylat Wars, Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie. I think the game I've played to completion the most is Lylat Wars though with Mario Kart a close second. I don't know what it was about that era but it really was my personal golden age of games. Since that time I've not really had any game that has made me want to play it over and over again in the same way. The replay value of those games is just amazing when I think about it. None of the later Mario Karts have had the same playability and soul to it as MK64 imo. These days I'll play a game once and be done with it. The Wii started off with a lot of promise for me as ExciteTruck brought that familiar feeling of quality and fun back to me. I played that game over and over again but unlike Lylat Wars and MK64 I've not touched it for months... I feel the Metroid Prime series deserves a mention too as I've played those through a few times each. As this is in General I feel I can mention the Xbox 360 and Halo. I've not gone through the single player more than a couple of times but the online is immense and unmatchable for an FPS. I've played Halo 3 and Halo Reach more than I can count. Also Blur, which is a fantastic racing game, comes with great replay value in the single player but multiplayer really brings it. Those are the titles I've played the most on the 360, definitely. I'm still probably more of a PC gamer though. I've probably given the most hours to Left 4 Dead 2 this year with CoD: MW2 coming in second. The replay value of Left 4 Dead 2 is brilliant, I could play it non-stop for a week and not get bored. I didn't expect this thread to allow me to type so much, I don't usually post this much text so I hope at least 1 person enjoys it. Great thread TL-DR - Lylat Wars.

Night 5 SQUAWK The ship's cook was detained for the evening, much to the annoyance of 5 pirates. The wooden-legged sailor found a young pirate and saw that no harm would come to him. The gentleman of fortune found nothing of value in the epic sailor's chest. The formidable pirate was not interested in unwelcome guests tonight but luckily no one tried to disturb his peace. The Captain was pleased for the calm night... The watchful pirate climbed up to his position in the crow's nest but lost his footing. Hanging from the rigging by his foot, he tried calling for help but the other pirates had forgotten he was even on board... hopefully he can attract someone's attention during the day or he'll surely fall to his death... I think someone somewhere probably found it funny to package scissors in that way. The rest of us need to hunt down and kill that person.

It's not likely to sway my decision to purchase something but if I'll usually have a look at the extras on stuff I buy. I'll usually go through all the extras if it's a dvd of a sitcom - scrubs, green wing, extras etc, but with films I don't often look.

Grandpa, get your salty nuts off the table!

Not watched the last one yet but I agree this series has been fantastic, the Christmas episode in particular made me laugh and cringe throughout.

Happy birthday

The person I targeted didn't target anyone and no one targeted them. Unless they actually get accused of something today, I'm not going to have anything to contribute.

Mine is a mash up of very generic disaster movie themes. I think each of ours will be different enough for people to enjoy each one. I've still got my Heroes mafia to do first anyway so I don't expect this one to go ahead anytime soon - though I have all my roles written I still need to go over everything at least 10 more times
-
Yes, thank you

Ah it's not down in the list but I do recall you saying about it now you mention it. No doubt yours will be 10 times better if the mafiawesome is anything to judge it by, but I think mine will end up being a few games after yours so I'm sure there's room for both
