  1. Yup. Will be online in half an hour or so for some warm up games 48 hour codes suck. I can play Social and Custom matches but not Ranked, DLC, Double EXP etc.
  2. The demand for mathematical proof does not seriously distinguish mathematics from other sciences. It is merely that the standards which a mathematical result must meet are more stringent than those of, say, physics. But other sciences also set up their own thresholds for acceptance: no more than a certain amount of error, statistical significance to a certain degree of confidence, sufficiently varied observations, predictions, etc. The standards of math are merely quantitatively different (in that they appear to be stronger and with higher thresholds), not qualitatively different. Proofs don't mean that Maths is not a Science, they back up it's claim to being "the Queen and Servant to Science" (Quote of Carl Friedrich Gauss) Sorry to keep dragging this off topic :p I just don't know when to drop an argument...
  3. I've got one from Halo 3, one from Guitar Hero 3 and i think another inside my 360s box (will check tomorrow). Should keep me online until Friday
  4. I don't trust anyone completely, it's not possible to. There's a few people i put a lot of trust in though, mostly because they do so with me. I've not opened up to anyone in years, people have tried to get me to but im always hiding things. There's whole sections of my life that nobody knows the full story of (like how bad things got for me when i was at uni). I've actually started to trust 2 or 3 people more, enough to want to start telling them about stuff that i've kept secret and bottled up for years. Problem is, when i start talking about some of it i just want to break down and cry. I won't let myself do that, so i end up keeping things locked up Anyway, time to pull away from depressing thoughts. They're never good when mixed with alcohol...
  5. Maths is most definitely a science. Anyhow, ReZ is usually pretty funny. Struggling to think of stand out quotes though
  6. Most deaths are kills given to the enemy team (bar friendly fire and some suicides). If your team has a negative overall K-D stat then they most likely lost the game, positive and they must have won. Kills - Deaths definitely matters, if you play like a suicide bomber and end up with more deaths than kills then you are jeapordising your teams chance of winning. It might net you the most kills in the game, maybe even MVP, but having a high K-D would have benefited your team a lot more. Ultimately having high deaths either means you are going to lose or the rest of your team have to make up for it by killing more than they are killed.
  7. Haze went from development on all 3 consoles to being a temporary PS3 exclusive (announced E3 2007). Late 2007 FRD and Ubisoft announced that they had stopped work on the 360 and PC versions of Haze, making it a PS3 exclusive. That doesn't mean it won't show up on 360 and PC though, they have a working PC demo and were pretty far in to the 360 versions development too. If the game is good and sells well they'll likely pick up development of the other 2 versions and aim to get them in stores for Christmas.
  8. Im Silver now! ARGH! I thought i had a week or 2 left! Will dig around for some 48 hour codes so i can finish this tourney, can't afford a sub until Friday at the earliest.
  9. Best piece of advise you can get. Forget the score board, it's the biggest piece of crap ever invented. Kills - Deaths is the most important score on there. Most Halo players think that getting the most kills is the objective of Slayer, in reality it's getting the highest K-D. If you get a negative K-D then you have failed your team regardless of how many kills you rack up.
  10. Yup, anytime tomorrow. Im not going anywhere, no work, no car, no bus service, im stranded at home for the day So yeah, perfect for Halo playing
  11. Im ready for mine whenever, my Live sub expires at the end of the month though so if we can get it done by then it would be much appreciated

    Mouse

Only thing you really need to look for in a mouse is how it fits your hand. If it's comfortable and high-end it will do the job, the rest of the differences are pretty minor. I read an article that described the differences pretty well, can't find it now though. Basically there's 2 types of mouse user, those that move the mouse with their fingertips and those that hold it in their palm. Big mice are for palm people, little mice (like the Razers) are for those who control them using their fingertips.
  13. O2 is Be, they bought them over a few months back
  14. The first warning is because the CPU was in power saving mode (it switches out of it when needed). The stuttering is because the graphics card isn't good enough. I had an X700 in my laptop, it could barely run Rome: Total War. The X600 is slower and Viva Pinatta has higher system requirements than Rome.
  15. Start > Run > Type "DXDiag" > Hit Enter > Click "Save all information" (or something like that) Post the results up here. It would well be another part of your computer rather than the CPU.
  16. Ignore it, your CPU is probably in power saving mode. It will underclock itself to save on power when the full clock speed isn't needed (i.e. 99% of the time). If the game runs then there's no problem.
  17. Batman. Win! Green Lantern. Win! The Flash? WTF? (or more to the point, how?) Superman? Meh. Wonder Woman? As above. Green Arrow? Fuckyeah!awesomelyawesomeinthemostawesomewaypossible!

    GTA IV

I've found a few of Gervais's stand up jokes funny, but all in all he's pretty dull. Less relevant these days than Peter Kay... Al Murray, that's who they should put in the game. He'd have a field day doing a show in some dingy NYC comedy club
  19. The problem is Sky Broadband being lazy, not Windows update. It's much easier for them to blame Windows that way they don't actually have to change the way they work. It's standard tech support BS. If something computer related doesn't work blame Windows and give each user having the problem a client-side fix that they implement themselves. Saves the tech guys the time it takes to get it right in the first place, passing the blame to Microsofr in the process...
  20. http://www.trustedreviews.com/notebooks/review/2008/04/16/Asus-Eee-PC-900/p1 Review of the 900. The new screen would swing it for me tbh, it looks a lot better than the original

    GTA IV

Release day is the 29th, yes? After reading the review it sounds really, really awesome! Like 'Game Of The Year' awesome. Now i need to figure out where to buy from...
  22. O2 Broadband if you can get it...
  23. I was wondering the other day if you were coming. Oh, and yeah i have got your MSN, i just don't really chat to people on there much
  24. It's WAS because people were posting a running commentary on how their day IS going. It pissed someone off and he/she (any poing in the she really?) changed it to capital WAS to press the point home.
