Hyde Park 4th-6th July N-E Meet and Mainland July 5th Meet in Holland
McPhee replied to jayseven's topic in General Chit Chat
I'm going for the train, it ain't that bad considering it's faster and more comfortable than a bus. £24.20 return at the moment from Stafford, can it really be much more from Manchester? -
Hyde Park 4th-6th July N-E Meet and Mainland July 5th Meet in Holland

What about meeting people on the journey down? A few of us could arrange to get the same train, making things a lot easier when we get there. -
Oh it's definitely worth the money. 1080p isn't worth the extra £200 alone, but this set is a premium 32" LCD. Similarly featured sets (Sony D3000, Panasonic LXD70/700, Sharp RD2E) are only 720p and yet retail for roughly the same price. The question is do you want a premium set, or were you just interested in the 1080p? If it's the former then it's a bargain, if it's the latter then don't stretch your budget.

i've gotten bored of it, might get back in to it at some point though...

Thats a bit off of Dixons, they don't actually tell you the resolution of the panel, just the number of pixels on the panel. It's 720p. The 1080p bit is just saying it will accept a 1080p signal (and downscales it to 720p). This is (AFAIK) the only 1080p 32" on the market: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/5320400/Toshiba-Regza-32-32XV505DB-HD-1080p-Freeview-Widescreen-LCD-TV/Product.html It's got cracking reviews and looks absolutely stunning when you actually see it (i took a trip to Currys to have a gander today and was very impressed). Having said that though there's no real reason to have 1080p on a 32". You'll only see benefit from it if you use it as a computer monitor or if you sit really close to the TV (less than 6 foot sort of close).

I lost interest when i lost the first few hours of game time due to a corrupted save. Traded it in a few days later. The first part was so, so boring that i REALLY couldn't make myself play through it again...

They got back together, new album out soon. In fact, they never technically split, they went on a 'Hiatus', which is usually code for "we've split up" but in this case was actually "we're taking a break for a few years, Rivers wants to do the Solo thing". Not a great chance of them being added to Download now though, too big a name. The only thing keeping me hopefull is the guy who organises Reading and Leeds said he couldn't book Weezer because they were already booked for Download. That and the rumoured June tour (which looks highly unlikely given it's now May).

First back up all of your music. Then go on to Apple's site and look for instructions on how to reset your iPod (it's different for each model/generation). If it still doesn't work after restoring then you'll have to reinstall Windows

Thats a pretty good announcement! Come on! Announce Weezer! I'll buy a ticket

I've got this: Fujifilm Finepix F40FD Brilliant camera! Really haven't got any complaints about it and at that price it's a bargain! It came out at £229 and there's quite a lot of reviews on the net at that price saying how good value for money it is. http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2007/06/05/Fujifilm-FinePix-F40fd/p1 http://www.digicamreview.co.uk/fujifilm_finepix_f40fd_review.htm At £95 it's got to be a good buy, right?

Log in to the Router and check the internet settings are all ok, you might have reset it back to factory settings.

Just about. You don't get given it, enemies drop it

Two words: Desert Eagle : peace: Got that bad boy last night and it's beautiful! Stupidly powerful, accurate, and because it's a pistol you can carry over a thousand rounds! The ammo is dirt cheap too

Rez man: http://n-europe.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 Post up, maybe we can help

Depends on the TV, the majority of cheaper TVs don't scale images properly over VGA. You need a set that does 1:1 pixel mapping, otherwise you lose bits of the picture (because they are off screen) and the image looks rough (because the pixels sent by the 360 aren't lining up with those on screen). Component always works ok, VGA is hit and miss.

How about these? http://www.trustedreviews.com/multimedia/review/2007/04/19/Creative-GigaWorks-T20-2-0-Speakers/p1 http://www.trustedreviews.com/multimedia/review/2007/11/19/Creative-Gigaworks-T40-2-0-Speakers/p1 Apparently they're cracking speakers, but maybe not small enough? I would have recommended Logitech Z-4s, which i know for a fact are amazing value for money, but they have a subwoofer and as a result take up quite a bit of space

You've fried the connector somehow, simple as. Solution? New graphics card. Wrong type of connector, this thing is old school. It uses the long, flat 4-pin Molex power connectors

You must be sending some packets of information, otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect to the wireless network or load ANY web pages (unless they're cached). Tried reinstalling the wifi driver?

It's the budget version of the Panasonic TX-LMD70, but still an incredible price! Only a single HDMI port though and the contrast ratio is a bit low. There's next to no information on the net about this specific set, or TVs2Go so you'd be taking a bit of a risk in buying it. If it pays off though you'll be well chuffed No need to change your 360, just buy the component cables for it.

Quick note: Installing the 2.0 firmware is illegal unless you own the SDK. It's OK to jailbreak the iPod, but using Jailbreak to install Firmware 2.0 or the January App Pack is illegal because Apple charge for both of them.

I've been in a firefight with police for a straight half hour and still onlu five stars I must have popped off hundreds of them, im on the other side of 2 doorways shooting when they enter the first. On the bright side though i just got the Chain Reaction achievement, blew up one police car outside and it took most of the other 20+ and a few cops with it EDIT: Shit, they just realised theres a back door and started shooting me from behind! Up the stairs i go!

Jailbreaking isn't dangerous to the ipod, but it can make it unstable. If it goes wrong you can always revert it to the standard firmware so there's zero risk involved. As for legal? Yes, it is. It's just not legal to steal copywrited material and port it to iPhone/iPod Touch. Most Jailbreaking sites are very vocal about what is and isn't legal because if they contained illegal content they would be shut down. Ooh! Me want

Not got as far as that mission yet (think it's my next one though) but i usually nick the sports car from Fausten's drive way and take it on my missions. It's a lot faster than the cop cars and handles like a dream, basically they don't have a hope in hell of catching you

Anyone know where to get this jacket from?

Not yet. VOIP is already on Jailbroken iPods, but not Skype. Who knows if Skype will ever be allowed to release on the Touch?
