  1. Maybe we should organise us a "make a new smiley set" competition? Get people who visit this forum to make some that we can have
  2. I think those of us who have the PC game should organise a game of TF2 sometime. Any one up for it?
  3. Amazing deal, very unlikely you'll find anything better
  4. 1. Yes 2. Don't think so, but none too sure 3. Yes 4. Probably, look around AV websites 5. Varies depending on what you want it to do and the quality. £200+ for a stand alone player
  5. They're the same set...
  6. The ending came on a bit suddenly! I know they said it was short but i was expecting a little more than that Roll on the sequel!
  7. Mines getting traded in on Friday for CoD4, only got it right now because reviews said the single player was short. Has given me a nice little break from shooters, but i'll have finished it tomorrow. I'll definitely buy a sequel though, and might even pick this up again some time in a bargain bin purely as a multiplayer fighter
  8. Im having trouble with voice on the PC version. The game recognises i have a mic plugged in, will even let me do a mic test but nobody can hear me! Also had the BSOD earlier. Hauled the mic out, the second i plugged it back in the system locked up Still loving TF2 though
  9. £900 is a lot for a 37" set, especially if you're not sure if you want 1080p or not. Most 1080p 37" sets fall short of the £800 mark (that one you posted above is £700 at Empire Direct). You basically have 3 choices; go lower than £900, buy a premium brand 37" (like the new 1080p Panasonic) or go for a bigger set. Let me know which you'd prefer and i'll pop up some recommendations http://www.empiredirect.co.uk if you want some help with good models etc post up a budget and i'll see what i can find
  10. You fuck with them and they fuck you up lol
  11. Scout Soldier Pyro Demo Man Heavy Engineer Medic Sniper Spy I've not read all of these, but the few i have read seemed to explain things pretty well. Theres also a game guide here: http://www.custompc.co.uk/features/601396/the-complete-guide-to-team-fortress-2/page1.html
  12. You still aint got you're copy? Bloomin heck!
  13. It'll work fine, if you're mobo can take a GTS it can take a GT
  14. Maybe you're right, not played 64 in a good 6 years! The horror of Double Dash is still fresh in my mind...
  15. No, that was Double Dash. Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS were no where near as bad. Im hardly the only person who thought that the number of weapons and they're power ruined and removed all need for skill from Double Dash. GT, Forza etc are nothing like Mario Kart, it is unique. The skill is in manipulating you're opponents, dodging weapons etc rather than driving skill. This is fun. Getting hit by a super-powerful weapon that cannot be dodged is on the other hand, not...
  16. Just got this, cost me £38 though! Next time i order off the net...
  17. I bet my sister will love this, she thought Spaced was crap but sits in front of the TV watching American crap all day (Trouble TV i think?)
  18. im tempted, will do a bit of research and get back to you
  19. Twilight Princess was pretty much the same as every Zelda game that came before it... (im not saying it wasn't good)
  20. As PC gaming hardware keeps getting discussed in here i figured i may aswell add it to this thread, it's less confusing. Popped a redirect up in the tech forum so it's simple enough to find. If people don't like it like this then i'll put it back to separate threads, was just an idea
  21. There is the happy middle ground you know? It can be fun without randomly dying every 2 mins because somebody got *insert uber cool insanely powerful power up here* My objection is it ending up like Double Dash, where you can spend a whole race in 1st just to get knocked back to last only meters before the line because of some silly power up like a Chain Chomp or Blue Shell
  22. Not really. 13 million Wiis sold, 13 Million 360s sold, 5 Million PS3s sold and countless millions of PC Gamers. If the Wii is putting itself in a different area of the market from the other 3 then which area is the biggest? The Wii might turn the casual market in to the majority before the end of it's life cycle, it might not. Nobody knows how big a market the console appeals to, but it certainly isn't the majority yet. Publishers know this, hence why the majority of games are 360 games or cross platform 360/PS3/PC games. If the Wii does become the majority then this may well change
  23. That might be why you can't kill any one then :p The scout is a bitch to kill as, you practically have to be touching people when you fire the scatter gun. I usually give up and use the bat :p
  24. 512MB Im guessing you have the 320MB 8800GTS then? Still seems a bit strange, wouldn't have thought an extra 190MB RAM would make such a difference in frames per second...
  25. Thats good to hear. Some Melee maps were bad enough for getting beaten by complete random chance, don't really want that amped up for Brawl. Im gonna be very picky with this game, not owning a Wii it's gonna cost me a bloody fortune to get to play it! If it's not 100% awesome then im not interested :p
