  1. Yeah, but failure insinuates that it failed on every level, when it clearly didn't, it had some immense game on it. Wii, is failing so far as I'm concerned, ie, as a core gamer, it's just not appealing to me on any level...
  2. Garden State > Little Miss Sunshine imo. Suffice to say I won't be visiting this thread for a while. *runs after killing Hobbzinio in the face at point blank range with a shotgun. Twice.*
  3. Gamecube was clearly not a failure, it was my favourite console of last generation. All, or most of the 3rd party games announced are tedious looking spin offs of existing franchises. I don't like it. I've had a Wii since launch day and the best game on it so far is A Link To The Past. Ironic, because the name of that game describes the only thing Wii is good for at this moment.
  4. Yeah, I mean XIII got a 12 rating despite the ridiculous amounts of blood and the swearing.
  5. Gunshot solo isn't too hard to play, you should check out the Departure solo. It's like holy fuck. How could you not tell he's half japanese? He clearly is Alexi Laiho kicks both their asses though. Now why am I talking about this in the 360 thread? :p.
  6. Well, he damnsure better had get back to directing, because "The Ex" is the most horrendous thing I've ever seen. Get back in the game Braff
  7. I was out taking a piss in a stream (river?) under a bridge after a few drinks and somebody had written Shabba on the wall. Reminded me of you. Just thought you'd like to know I was thinking of you with my man meat out
  8. Nothing. Matt Heafy kicks all sorts of ass. You just didn't strike me as the metalhead type.
  9. Yay, got the Worm Hunter achievement on Lost Planet. That bugger took me the best part of 40 minutes to kill.
  10. Holy shit, it's Jimjebus o_0. And he has a pic of Matt Heafy in his profile. Something is amiss.
  11. Madden, or the 10 minutes I played of it was indeed fun, and the Wii controls were what made it awesome, but I don't like sports games, I just don't, I could never get into it. SSX, which got a rental from me, sucked so unbelievably hard compared to SSX3. DQ looks shit and so does Fifa (as usual) but I'm really very excited for FF and No More Heroes, but the likely hood of them coming before 2008 are remote, which means that Wii's only saving grace this year is going to be Smash Bros, Mario, Metroid and BWii, all Nintendo games. Where's the third party support there?
  12. Nay, by the 11th hour. *riff kicks in* "The hour of reckoning draws near Judgment day is here and gone" Yeah, 9 sounds good .
  13. Zack and Wiki is the only remotely interesting one out of the ones you listed. Opoona, Dragon Quest and Sims look like ass, and Eledees was just not my kinda game. It might have been "innovative" but it was repetitive and got tedious after a while. And to say "there will be great games announced." Well, no fucking shit, of course there will, but there really haven't been any great 3rd party games out, or announced yet, and thats the worrying thing. Gamecube had plenty of great games by this time in it's lifecycle.
  14. New one: When girls say that they like my hair. Blatant lies. And then they try to lure me into some overtly feminine conversation about what conditioner I use. It makes me want to cause them grevious bodily harm.
  15. The Last Kiss: Paints a picture of relationships that no doubt Ashley would buy into . Good movie, not as brilliant as Garden State. 8/10. Edward Scissorhands: Cute. I really liked it, appealed to my inner child. 8/10
  16. I say that about most indie bands. Oh, and Oasis. May seem like I say that all the time, but convieniently, it's true.
  17. King is ridiculously hard to use properly, but half of his grab combos take off more than half your life. The flipside is that he's really, really slow. Same with Marduk
  18. That's because they're the most bland, sterile band around these days.
  19. I'd say that was reason enough.
  20. Funnily enough, in quake 2, you can't distinguish the heads from the bodies, thus making the concept of headshots rather ineffective. Cmon, quit with the crap, Halo is awesome.
  21. Decades? Lol. FPS' have only barely been around for a decade. Either way, it's a very well made shooter.
  22. The unforunate downside to the story is that everyone already knows that Jekyll is Hyde before they read it...so it kinda ruins the mystery. Great read though. I can't imagine how they'd do some of the scenes with Hyde, they were really quite brutal.
  23. Halo has some pretty cool music in places, but yeah, nothing compared to Prime. I don't think Timesplitters was better, although I can't say it was worse. Those were the two best console FPS' of that generation.
  24. Tekken 2, was like, kinda suck, but Tekken 3 was immense, as for graphics, it had some of the best graphics on the system, and definately the best fighting system around on that console.
