Slightly off topic of B&W but a Pokemon question... Does anyone here ever level up their Pokemon to lv100? Only time i ever did this was in Pokemon Blue through the rare candy cheat (standard), but since that I think the closest I have got is getting a Persian up to level 60 odd on one of the newer games. I only ever tend to get them all up to the 60's and then that's it. Be interested to know if anyone does this through just constant battling and how long it roughly takes / if there's any quick ways. Thanks!

Haha. Yeah that's the little bas... He was so excited - i'd hate to see him on launch day. I overheard (well, it was difficult not to hear him), him saying that he hadn't pre-ordered a 3DS. You just know that he's going to be doing the midnight launch and some poor poor people are gonna have to put up with that for the entire thing. I'm glad I pre-ordered online now... lol.

That's one word for it... Yeah he was extremely excited about everything - and loud with it. Lots of shoppers were looking at him in the store like 'wtf'. He was pretty small with glasses on. Funny though

I actually had to walk away from him as 2 potentially unfortunate events could've occured. 1. I would have died trying not to laugh at his strange, unnecessarily over excited behavior. 2. I would've punched him. Still, these things are sent to test us.

I'm off to Liverpool tomorrow with a friend to get me a Celebi - or 2. The event is on tomorrow too isn't it?

Think i am being really silly... but can someone post a link or do a step by step on how to actually get these. The only thing i've read is to boot the game up, go into the start menu and scroll down to 'mystery gift'. I dont have this option... Apologies if its very simple and im being stupid...

Im not sure what to make of it. I like the idea of the console being like a potable PS3, however the pricing will determine a purchase for me. Also like the games listed and graphics look amazing. Couple that with trophy support, a nice looking white console and you've got me veerrrry interested. No doubt i will end up getting one at some point.

I have always contemplated getting both versions. I like playing through with totally different teams at a time. I bought Soul Silver last year, but have been really tempted ever since to buy Heart Gold and play through that with a completely different team set up. Rather than doing that though I have got myself a copy of Sapphire and a GB Micro off ebay (which is a lovely little console). I missed the R/S/E generation so want to play through that. I also bagged myself a copy of emerald which is still sealed from the same site to keep as a collectors item. : peace: Little off topic sorry... Anyway, yes I think I may get both at some point in the future. Also have my eye on the Pokemon B/W edition DSi bundle. Why do you do this to me Nintendo? Why?!!

That's pretty much what i would look for in a Sony handheld. To an extent the original PSP did this, but it missed the mark with an awful lot of things. Hopefully they can rectify it. I also hope it is not download only - if that is the case I don't think i would want to bother with the system at all.

Yeah i agree - nothing wrong with the design of the GO. I actually preferred it to the original PSP design. Someone earlier on in the thread said that it was going to be a different design to the GO due to Sony not wanting it to resemble it with the PSP2. However i think that was speculation as it all is at this point. The slide design does seem the way to go if a touch screen is to be present.

More from IGN on what they think the PSP2 needs to succeed. Some nice ideas. The trophy support is a big one for me because i wont lie - i enjoy getting achievements and trophies. http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/114/1145704p1.html They seem to think from the leaked images that the PSP2 will look very very similar to the PSP GO. I wonder whether it will be a slide device...

Can i just clarify with the legendary dog thing... If we have access to Wi-Fi as well as a copy of HG / SS then we are able to download the legendary dogs? Im confused!? Is it some sort of event that you have to go along to in order to obtain them? I should just read the thread again, i know... :p Its ok - I now understand. Decided to not be lazy and just re-read the last few posts. But it has brought up another question...? How do we access the downloads? I'm guessing it's an in-game thing within a Pokemon Centre?

Well given everyone has been about the price of the 3DS, it's gonna need to be reasonably priced despite it probably offering an awful lot for a handheld. Given Sony's past - it probably wont be. But you are correct in saying that they could get this very very right. Which i would love to see Christmas release sounds probable.

Yes. At this point we don't know if the PSP2 will have 1 or 2 screens, hence my intrigue in how they will approach it.

I must admit i did like the psp go. Only in terms of how it looked. The whole no UMD thing is just plain stupid. No doubt i will end up getting one at some point as i do think sony could offer a lot in a handheld and something slightly different to Nintendo. Will it be a 3DS beater? I doubt it.

Yeah agreed. I cant see this console being cheap if they are going to be releasing one (which is looking likely). I just cant see people buying into it. Naturally a big plus for the console would be linking it to the PSN and also having trophy support (not sure if the PSP ever had that?). That'd be pretty cool. But a PSP with better graphics is not really going to be a good way to throw Nintendo off the top of the handheld market. Lets see what is announced... Agree with this too. I bought my first PSP a few years ago, in ceramic white and absolutely loved it. The Ratchett and Clank games were great, I had Daxter which was equally good, Virtua Tennis, the Mega Drive collection, Syphon Filter etc etc. And there was more i wanted too, but just never got round to it. What i liked was that it offered games the the DS did not - such as the ratchett and clank and daxter adventure games which were great because of the analogue stick. Its the same reason i own other consoles as well as the Wii. They're all offering different things. Which i must have...
