The pricing isn't reasonable when compared to preowned prices at all I picked up Crush (great game btw buy it) for £5 and Exit as well plus GoW for just £7.99. I know obviously they are preowned and that has to be factored in but its still hard to justify paying full whack for these titles... A couple of the minis interest me namely tetris and pinball fantasies...

The European Home servers are down for extended maintenance apparently...perhaps in readiness for the 1.3 (think thats the right number) update that brings game launching for titles?

The Lethargic Gamers Show! Episode 2 is now live!
flameboy replied to flameboy's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah a few people have suggested this and its something I am looking into with regards to the megadrive games etc..that I own and hopefully it will be reworked for episode 3 because yes at the moment the video is all being captured via pointed camera lol as I'm running off a netbook so no video card with any sort of input for capturing off the TV... Bit of shame that you didn't just skip and give the show a go...also blip.tv doesn't seem to have the greatest quality tbh...will be posting the megavideo link later on...once its uploaded. -
Is all the new PSN content live yet?! Or is it not going to be until later in the day?
-
well with any luck my copy will arrive this morning with the post...usually does with GAME. I'm very excited played a ton of games of the demo last night and am really getting into it and working out new tactics etc...One thing that can be said about the way I play footie games is its very one dimensional and if that gameplay doesn't work I kind of come unstuck...However I genuinely think 360 motion gives you a new sense of freedom and so many opportunities for varied play.

why? is that when their exclusivity will finally end? The texts is a big thing...I don't mind about the calls at all...

Well I'm moderately aware of Charlie Brooker but never watched anything with him on in the past and tbh found it a really good watch it dragged at times but I did actually laugh at quite a few bits. He had a lot of insight into games that is perhaps not shown on TV. However his over reliance on looking at violence does leave that taste thats its something the industry will struggle to shrug off... It also raises the question does the gaming industry as an entertainment medium need to rely on the tv networks of the world to give it coverage in order to push itself forward? The power of the internet is far more important.

The Lethargic Gamers Show! Episode 2 is now live!
flameboy replied to flameboy's topic in General Chit Chat
THANKS! Just got home after a hard days work and thats just cheered me up! -
Yeah apparently when the press started playing their copies their twitters went mental with updates every 5 seconds...so its going to be disabled at launch till they sort out a more suitable rate of updating...If they don't do it soonish the feature will become redundant if they leave it too long.

A forum/blog site they have a pretty good community. I've been listening to their playstation podcast psnation for a couple of years now and its a cracking podcast, they also have some other good shows like interactive distractions, on tap podcast and gamers only older (something I'd imagine cookyman listens to ) I don't tend to post much at all (can't even remember last time I did) but its a good place... -
Ok so it can be watched on blip.tv via my blog: http://lethargicgamers.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/the-lethargic-gamers-show-episode-2-more-effort-required/ (EDIT: don't think the link on there is working as its not been converted to flash properly yet for the site: http://blip.tv/file/2660085) please also read the show notes here; http://lethargicgamers.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/tlgs-show-notes/ Its an improvement over the last episode but by no means incredible, I'm taking the approach that I am taking baby steps. The show notes highlight plenty of things that I am aware of, unfortunately it became another rush job...please leave any comments either here on the blog or on the video cheers!!! EDIT: Direct Link again thats working now: http://blip.tv/file/2660085

Youtube type services that offer more than 10 mins of video?!
flameboy replied to flameboy's topic in General Chit Chat
Gone for blip.tv in the end love their service and their principles etc...great site...just uploading now... -
Something that I've thought as well and if all 256 players did somehow end up together it would be absolute carnage...

I agree 100% cookyman! I don't use my mic half as much as I should namely because I am sick of people with shitty mics hurting my ears or dickhead yanks... I do think in some ways this is a PS3 problem though, because mic chat wasn't a widespread feature at launch it didn't become an intergral part of the experience as it did with Live and the 360. -
One's a £10 download the other is likely to be a full priced product at least...that alone makes for very different offerings. I don't think EA are anywhere near as a bad a company as they used to be. Activision are the new "old EA", but I can see why people still hate EA.
-
agreed...I'll have my mic...barely used my official one since i got it due to nobody else using them...
-
lol well hopefully mine will arrive thursday will be in from work about 7.30ish GMT if you fancy meeting up online either in a friendly or we could go online together as virtual pros...

flameboy replied to MATtheHAT's topic in Other Consoles
It's not a case of that at all...he is quite right with his statement about what using a mic for online play brings to the experience. He's not expecting you to conform and his comment aimed at you in another thread is likely to be from the fact that you post so often moaning about your PS3 being broken...why don't you just do something about it instead of moaning? -
