Either is good....the small meaningful indie games do interest me but indie games that offer great experiences and can stand up against their bigger published game brothers also fascinate me. Aside from my motives for starting the thread, it would nice if this thread was used to share indie games with each other.

Yeah heard a few different things about the way it works...one woman who is apparently sexy and evil will shag you if you don't help people but you lose out on XP by doing that...the things people will do for sex...

Let me know how you get on with it...I was originally defintely going to buy it but found it soooooooooooo boring at Eurogamer Expo and just assumed I was perhaps the Bioware thing, although a quick play of KOTOR the other day has made me realise Bioware are amazing...

LOL! I am a long term fan of Anthony Burch I have to admit, however havn't been reading much of his stuff recent. It's just something I've found myself playing a ton recently and these kinda experiences that are quick and "throwaway" do lend themselves this to kind of thought. I'm interested to hear what games you play that don't go down the art route. Just to throw another game out there: http://www.adamatomic.com/canabalt/ I'm positively hooked on this game, it doesn't so much have any artsy questions or allude to anything bigger. Has a "unique" graphical style and is rollicking good game.

LOL! I've only had 3 relationships but more long term: 2 years, 3 1/2 years, 2 months...

Yeah I've heard they will do that but only on £75 contract...the biggest issue really is the lack of signal at and around work...I have friends on O2,vodafone and Orange who don't have the issues I have...

you can play it on PSP as well...if you have one...but then technically think you can do with a disc based version via remote play.

Ok so in recent times there seems to have been an upsurge in so called Indie Games, small edible bite sized gaming experiences. Some take this bite sized element to new levels with little more than 5 minutes of gameplay. However they seem to justify themselves with messages and meaning that a lot of modern games do not get close to. Most may dismiss this is as hearsay and that they only try to make out as if they have this great profround meaning to cover up shoddy graphics and a lack of real gameplay. I'll let you decide for yourself with these games: Passage: http://hcsoftware.sourceforge.net/passage/ Needs to be downloaded. Perhaps one of THE most famous games and has drawn comparisons with Portal and other games in the past. Play through a few times and see how different choices can affect your path through life. Every day the same dream: http://www.molleindustria.org/everydaythesamedream/everydaythesamedream.html Flash based game. At first this can seem to most boring and mundane game with little purpose, however stick at playing it and eventually the rewards are there to be had. The impact of the last minute of gameplay cannot be described as it leaves you pondering what has been before. Kenney's Bite Sized Non-Adventure, Part 1: Watch a movie. http://www.kenney.nl/game.php?id=kenney_part1 Again a game where not a lot happens, just stick with it and reach the end its all worth it for THAT song which made my face light up with childish glee. Even has slight replay value as well... Runner: http://www.destructoid.com/runner-a-game-made-by-dtoid-staff-members-is-now-playable-129297.phtml Needs to be downloaded. Created by dtoid staff and friends and for anyone who has ever been in a relationship/love it is a MUST play. So there's a few of my little picks, do you think these kind of games have any kind of merits on the level I'm attributing to them, or do would you rather play your next gen games and leave the thinking to the philiosophers? Also anyone got any other games they'd like to throw into the ring? I am hoping to turn this into an article on lethargic gamers so any viewpoints, opinions or other such stuff is greatly appreciated.
