Yeah, I've considered - if only briefly - perhaps trying my hand at america/canada/australia... Couldn't really cope with the language barrier elsewhere and I'm utterly convinced I'm inable to learn another language. My aim is to trip around europe next summer on a teeny budget for a decent culture hit. Would be the most responsible (and I suppose on some levels irresponsible) thing I've ever done, but I'm sure some good could come from it.

I have to agree with this one massively. Occasionally at about 4am I'll find myself just staring at my face in the mirror, taking on how much it's changed since I last looked; attempting to see myself how others see me; just... staring into my own eyes. Freaks me out a little.

Weekendinliverpool! Never been to the city. Liked it. Got called "Ron Weasley" after about 15 mins of walking around by the scullies (or whatever tehy're called), and repeatedly asked to put my hood down. Went out a bit, ate well, met lots of nice - if not quite my kind of - people. Helped set my cousin up with a boy, and in return she chipped one of my teeth! That's now 6 of them chipped. Oh dear. Might get this one filled in when I go home for summer. Also I danced like a mad raving loony, but had an awesome time as I knew nobody there would ever see me again. Made me consider looking at going to another city for a masters degree to get a bit more culture in, like. ... I'm no good at making things sound interesting. sorrah.

sorry dewds - didn't think I'd have no net access in liverpool. Back home now and made my moves... er, bye italy :/ -
Yeah I heard about this last night - apparantly it started around 6:30pm. I was out by then. Goddamit. Yah - pub meet with a bunch of strangers from the juggling society last night - was good! There was origami, pipes, cookies, swahili... not much juggling though. Maybe next time. Slowly working my way up to getting ready for a train journey to liverpool in about two hours.

Scare us into... not ageing? I'm ever-aware that I'm getting older. Just look at your hands. LOOK AT THEM. There are more lines on your palms than before - more wrinkles on the knuckles. Your inner wrist is creased like crazy. ... Yeah. I hate that my youth feels wasted. Jordan that's like the twelfth time you've mentioned your surname since you got back from your holiday. You've been thinking about marriage, haven't you? x-files episode at 98% if I'm lucky it'll be done before a pub trip for the juggling society. Last night watched the first disc of s02 frasier - "The Matchmaker" was an excellent episode. I also ate a tin of sweetcorn.

Had a tasty barbie! Lighter-Gelled up some coal bricketts, set a fair amount of newspaper and egg-carton on fire, and some wood pilfered from the next-door's outhouse. made some ace burgers, sausages, chicken wings, pork ribs... couple of mates each made some brilliant marinade. It started raining so we shifted the bbq into the 'alleyway' for cover, and constructed a wind-shield from 3 wheelie bins, two bits of styrofoam, some twigs and bricks and a picnic bench on it's end. Got pissed, ate well (I hope. Illnesses to be confirmed...) and watched 30 days of night (the film is flawed, silly, and ultimately not that fun really) before ambling home. Now I'm sitting here, looking at my x-files s03e10 at 90.5% and hating the world. episode 9 was a cliffhanger of a 'to be continued' one, and I'm debating whether to watch a random movie for the next 33mb or just sleep and watch it in the morning. Annoyingly, I know that it'll probably take two or three hours to download, but I'm not tired and I have more cider... so I guess I'll scan the house for another movie to watch... Or start on Frasier season 2...

You don't realise how frustrating it really is to do all the hard work. Go to the first post, find the spoiler tag for accomodation, then look for the bit where it says "this is most likely where I'll be going". There's a link that has pictures and everything. The whole reason I'm not re-posting that over and over is because lazy people can't be bothered to go through the thread and see what's what. Which is kind of why it's on the first page, in the first post. I appreciate that it's hassle checking it -- but it's like ten minutes of your time. Yes, I'm slightly drunk and rather irritable, and have most likely blown everything out of proportion, but I don't care. I know where I'm going to be on the 5th of july, and I know where I'll be sleeping that night. Sort yourselves out people. (and yes, mundi, you pay on arrival. Best pay in CASH, too, so they don't charge for teh card.)

on the way to the station I took a route I don't know too well, saw a friend and shouted at her and whistled and she was too far away to notice. Realised I looked silly so rapidly took the next left - luckily it was the precise turn I needed to take in order to get to station. got mah ticket for the weekend, bumped into pal outside uni and thankfully he was busy so I didn't have to try and explain that he wasn't wanted at the bbq later. Realised I could pick up some results so I did -- 55 in a timed-essay we did in class that I didn't realise you could take notes into. Worst result everr... But 67% in my poetry essay which I thought I'd answered totally wrong. Turns out it was a "personal" and "unusual" interpretation of the question, thus earning me golden points. Awesome. Grabbed 8 cans of scrumpy, 4 quarter-pounders, 6 chili and coriander sausages, 6 apple and something sausages, 12 buns and some jalapeno relish. BBQ on a grey early spring day! God, it's going to rain I can tell. It's real easy to stretch out a day's event's, isn't it? Nice n' dull. Also my mate wanted me to get him some "Dodo Chesteze"... it's available over the counter but he was all "don't tell them it's for me! don't tell them you need it for any purpose OTHER than a chesty cough, ok?"... So when I got to the counter I was scanning all the bottles of pills and jars and shit behind the lady. I've got my "I look shifty! Don't mug me!" hoodie on, which probably didn't help. After a bit of scanning I noticed the lady was staring at me, and probably had been all this time. So I said to her "have you got any doodoo Chesteze? Doh doh chesteze? I dunno how to pronounce it--" and she snaps "None in stock," stabbing a hole in my back with her ill-conceived blaring gaze as I left the shop. +1 for reading.

What did you think lucid dreaming was, Jamba? Go rent/'acquire' Waking Life. It's kind of about lucid dreaming/philosophical approaches to existence and perception. Barely a traditional movie at all. Plus it's rotoscoped and looks awesome.

The bullets didn't kill him. It was the fall. [/bad, bad, bad paraphrasing] Er, righty-ho! GUNS! Guns are for people who believe the best form of defence is offense. Guns make people feel safer because to them 'safe' means 'the ability to fuck up someone else worse than they can fuck me up'. The 2nd amendment basically says that you have the right to protect yourself from other people abusing this amendment. It's just a silly. A SILLY. Etcblah.

I've done next-to-nothing today! Watched The Incredibles, and got 3 episodes of x-files to watch! yay! Last night had a couple of mates over and we got pissed, watched Steve-o and Almost Famous, and were utterly unsuccessful at smoking salvia repeatedly. Need pipe. Tomorrow = meat market, maybe uni, ticket purchasing, Operation Sister's Birthday Present, then bbq and booze! It will require actually leaving the house at a reasonable time. Wish me luck!

Yeah I was just thinking about my hobbies but it turns out they're all compulsions. Smoking, drinking, sleeping, watching dvds for ridiculous lengths of time. I like to roll cigarettes. Yeah none of these are hobbies. I have no life! So I take it your 'giving up' didn't last long?
