I've always used Musicbrainz to sort out my music files ID3 tagging. Fairly comprehensive database and works fairly fast. All I can think of!

Citations needed! RE: passport photos and "not even part of their religion anyway" - as it is, really.

ffffound this site, but they won't let me play It's invite-only, which makes me want to play even more! Also, anyone ever read garfieldminusgarfield? It's surprisingly awesome. Museum of hoaxes is pretty cool too. spiders on drugs! And there I was, convinced I'd finish reading my book today.

I'm 10% Dutch, 14% Welsh and 0.5% Iranian...

My ex had an entire module based around the question what is nationality?, and it's most definitely not just these fields and rocks that Mr England stuck a flag into all those weeks ago. The sense of belonging is a tribal need to feel protected, a part of yaddah yaddah yaddah *points to flags, food, fashion, sports, then gives up with point* -
Well thanks for the replies - I wasn't drinking for the fuck of it, by the way! Had been down the beach, then went to a bbq. There were some genuine points in there, but hey ho. READ BOOKS JAYSEVEN. READ THEM ALL.

Yo. Your last paragraph in the OP is what interested me most. Considering I've only just woken up; sustainability is probably the most logical compromise between the humanistic and the planet-worshipping ideas. Culling any species is always going to be frowned upon, and any control we implement over nature is generally overlooked until it directly impacts upon us humans -- look at China's method of lowering their population. Erecting laws hither and thither to pursuade the population doesn't work as well as, as you said, each individual accepting the notion that doing x or behaving y is a morally correct way to be. I didn't really read up on the subject or anything, but I think technology would continue to increase in order to try and increase efficiency and blahbalh. Sorry, just realised the irony of all of this, when i;m sitting here in bed half-naked. Yeah. I don't know what I'm talking about. No idea. Pass.

The last four times it's rained while I've walked home, it's been the background music to my self-depressed foreground. I don't know why but I've found it really difficult tonight to not last out at people. Certain posts/threads, or even texts/people have completely rubbed me the wrong way and I really just want to SCREAM... Ugh. it's just momentary depression. At least that's what I tell myself. I've realised that I cannot remember a time that I was truly happy, and I genuinely can't see when I could ever be all smiles and no guile. All I want in the world is a companion to see me as I am, and to save their secrets for me. I'm pissed off with the near-misses and the perhaps. I'm tired of being the back-up and the maybe. Though i know that nobody deserves anything, I can't help but still wish that I'm wrong; that we are awaiting some mystical moment where everything is suddenly ok. But when you have no single moment to look forward to - no ultimate moment of happiness where you can guarentee yourself at least a day of smiles and joy... when you can't see the next sunny day, then... well then being rained on just confirms this. Getting soaked through just establishes and burns into you the utter fallacy of holding onto any hope of a fresh and green opportunity of happiness. happiness to me isn't some overbearing smilefest, it's just knowing that the next sadness is out of reach; it's far away enough that you couldn't think about it even if you tried. Yet knowing that I can get there at a moment's notice without even meaning to just saddens me immediately. Knowing I'm but 21 years old and probably being a wussy fuck for being so self-depressed when I have 'so much to live for' does nothing but make things heavier and harder to bear. yes, this is one of my monthly posts of dirge, and I do apologise - but then anyone who has read far enough to garner the apology deserves so much more just for the effort they have put in. Perhaps it's fair enough to blame the gin -- but surely all it can do is weed out and force-grow these thoughts and feelings? Does that mean I'm being over the top? Does it mean that I'm wrong? Well I've written all of this, and it's worth nothing at all, so I may as well post it and keep drinking! yeah! There's a positive here somehwere! I'll pass out eventually! woo! etcdie.

well if I just consider my parents, then I'm 50% english and 50% welsh. But to be honest, I'm really nt bothered. I really just... don't care. -
ok, ok :P well hallam is 76th either way so screw you!

I've been drinking tesco value gin. On my second bottle now, and I've decided that yes, actually, it is a depressing drink. i have nothing to look forward to except effort, effort and effort. I hate you all and I want an abortion.

lo.... stop with teh whole 'list' thing, srsly. i have a list of who was supposed to send who what. I've not received anything yet, and I've been using myself as a litmus test, so don't start worrying just yet. Give it another week, or so, then I'll start PMing people. Anyone who hasn't sent and CDs will make my black list. Or whatever. Carry on with the lists if you want. i don't care.

http://www.studentloanrepayment.co.uk is the site that holds info about repaying, but I've not had a good enough look around to say how it portrays the tuition-fee situation. Reading up about inflation/deferring repayment... well it's going to be a bitch. It seems to suggest that you can only repay the loans once you've finished the course, but I'm sure I saw a link on teh sfd website somewhere saying you could make a payment. It looks like you can lose around 9% of your paycheck above the threshold (currently around £25,000 before tax...) which, of course, sucks. Average earnings for a Ba is around £35,000 -- that's, like, peak earnings, not initial job and shit. Also it turns out that Brighton uni's english students nearly all get a graduate job immediately after uni, whereas Hallam's overall 'success' rate for students is something like 56%. AWESOME. I shall continue burning, poor and lonely. [/uninteresting post]
-
Well they're reviewing the 'cap' on tuition fees this year. Currently the max is £3145, but there are only two unis in England that don't charge the maximum. If the cap is taken off next year then... well say HELLO!!! to more debt

Yeah I know what he was arguing, and that his point boils down to "but Why!", my point is "for once I am glad there's no logic involved, because life sucks a lot more for me than it ever could for you, and if all I get is a laptop then fuck you." Anyway - go ahead and search for your uni at the times' good uni guide. Hallam is 76th, US is 22nd :P I'm beginning to wonder why I didn't look at this list before I chose my course... Rather depressing, really.

If you don't like 1/5th of the sweet, why buy it at all?
-
But your ears work fine! Is £800 all you think your hearing's worth? I would've much rather had two fully working ears than a free laptop. I would pay a lot more for a brand spanking new eye. You could argue that there's very little direct reasoning to give all these disabled kids free stuff - surely that's positive discrimination, or whatever? But I would argue that you have no idea how far reaching being partially deaf is in life... bah I've just woken up and alraedy I'm in a sour mood.

Principle alone, I'm opposed to Magners. I believe teh taste is basically what mainstream, poseur-type people would taste like if they were cider that was made from apple cores. or something. Yeah - basically, it might taste alright but I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon. lol on topic plz k thx.
