Watched Sunshine, which was cool, and The Man From Earth, which was awesome. If you like Waking Life or have read Ishmael or The Alchemist then I strongly suggest you watch this film. Very awesome. Totally going to be the film I tell all my friends to watch.

yeah man, a meet in Brighton would've been utterly legendary. Stay in a b&b by hove lagoon, show you fatboy slim's house, the nudist beach, take y'all clubbing, see the pier, see the laines and the pavillion gardens and -- of course -- beachfire at night.

Bizarrely mislabelled Sunshine, I just watched Doomsday. It is b-movie-tacular. Blatantly influenced by escape from new york, Mad Max and maybe a little 28 days later - oh yeah, and there's the whole robin-hood-esque section, which is ridiculous. There are unnecessary tits, exploding heads and ridiculous haircuts all over the place. I was dissapointed with the lack of bad puns, mind you. Also got the doctor from Star Trek: Don'tknowwhichone. Now to watch the real Sunshine...

Yo there! Hi! So my 'double date' day yesterday slightly went wrong. The second girl might have seen me ambling around town with the first... She didn't reply to any texts or anything, which is a shame. But hey! That's one thing I don't have to add to the Bastard List of Bastard Things I've Bastard Done. Today I'm jus' chillin' for now. Gonna grab a doobie and then maybe watch another movie, I just don't know what one. Then off to town for a mate's send-off, then say g'bye to me dad tomorrow, then tuesday I suppose I'll be staying out 'til 3am then getting the 10am train, meeting my mate at sheff station then going to see Meshuggah, then sleep/play xbox thursday, then off to huddersfield friday, then manchester saturday, then return sunday... then unpack and relax in sheff! Phew. It's been a seriously manic month so far. Woot! Doooo... Da-da-dooo! The music is excellent. nami I think the three of us should turn off the lights, get the booze in and watch it once more.

1. Marty Feldman, the comic genius died in his prime. He helped come up with the Four Yorkshiremen joke, and was so funny in Young Frankenstein. 2. Sophie Howard, as she is HOT. 3.Charlie from Busted! Fightstar; I think he was brave to quit the boy-band thing and try and follow his dreams, especially considering his new demographic mostly hated Busted. lol... All I can think of

Yeah, you're exaggerating :P It's not supposed to be a remake, it's a different look at the source material. The two movies are, apparantly (not seen the original) focused on different aspects, with the Soderbergh version being less about Solaris and more about the affect it's having on the humans. Something worth thinking about, though; what are the best and worst remakes? Scarface is surely sauntering around in the Good Pile, but it's all I can really think of. Lists are there. I guess the most frequent films remade are the korean/japanese ones like Grudge, the Eye, Ring, Infernal Affairs... 9 versions of Little Women >_<

jsut finished The Lost Boys, and I thought the initiation section was great, but the cast wasn't strong enough, the plot was fairly roughly pasted together and... well, and the good guys won. I can see why it's a cult favourite, of course! I agree! The ambience is so good.

Solaris Boo ya. good film. Nice nuances. had no idea what I was letting myself in for, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Clear, yet leaves lots of room for interpretation.
