  1. Last match of the season, and in the spirit of things I ACTUALLY MADE SOME TACTICS AND STUFF ZOMG! Currently 5th (lol) and need only a draw to maintain this position. Odwin I'd like to apologise to you and the rest of the peeps for not giving this my full attention - but I'd like to play again next season if that's ok? Shorty can bust my chops to keep me focused.
  2. I forgot to really talk about my day yesterday. I had to drag myself out of bed at half 8, then ravaged myself with 9-4 uni followed by 5-7 jugglesock then pub. Jugglesock had about 20 people this week; starting to see who the regulars will be. I learned a new juggling trick where each of the three balls has its own half-orbit-thing; some german lecturer came and chatted to me while I was sitting in between lectures and showed me a couple of tricks. Shall probably see him next week and hopefully he'll pass on a couple more! Picked up baton-twirling a little (lots of bruises) and learned that there's actually skill to pom-poms :P juggled whilst hula-hooping for about three throws; gotta work on that. I think next week I hope to learn another couple of juggling tricks and maybe work on my happysack! Y'all know my society is the business, amirite? So yeah! Tonight I'm off to all-u-can-eat. Need to sort out precisely where and who with, then with the jugglesock committee it's off to the cinema to watch Withnail & I, perhaps with some stealthy booze snuck in.
  3. Watched Saw 3 last night. The first proper scene is always the sickest one. I can never differentiate between most of the movies, and I can't remember what happens in 4 at all but I'm looking forward to seeing 5 soon. Anyone know how to stop my computer saying "your new updates are ready to be installed. your computer will restart automatically in 5 mins" every 10 minutes? I'm planning on watching battlestar galactica's pilot and it's going to bug me. Phail Go you! That's insane. 'Bout time you had some lucksies Dude. You're a bit homesick It's a struggle, and a big fucking scary step to go away from home and allow yourself to be alienated from the world you knew, and thrust into a world of responsibility and uncontrollable twats. But you have to face that sort of responsibility at some point in your life, and you may as well do it here and now while the risks are lower. I would genuinely say that if you can't talk to everyone, then at least talk to one other flatmate and vent a little about the mess situation. You can try and call a house meeting and, while they may think you suck for a while, they will either a) Eventually realise tehy are being twats and get over it, or b) turn out to be people not worth knowing anyway. It's the start of uni for them, too, and generally you find that most 18 year olds revert to 12-year-old form when tehy suddenly realise OMG NO PARANTS ZOMGYAY I WILL BE AN IDIOT. Once people start having deadlines they'll buck up a bit. You're not alone in the way you feel; you're nt the first and you won't be the last. If it's truly getting you down then I recommend talking either to a tutor you like and trust or the uni counsellor. Or come to sheffield for a few days and share some gin with me :P
  4. Last week I thought he was dropping form again, but overall he's as good as ever! Great review, chuckled a lot. Got caught out by the bits near the end >_<
  5. All of them? SO it doesn't matter what their parents picked, they ended up all going the other way? That's a little curious!
  6. Hey dude. You should look into [uirl=http://www.hostellondon.com/]hostels[/url]. You can find places as cheap as £20 a night, but usually this price is reserved for large-ish dorms where you may be required to share with four, five or even ten strangers. With most hostels you will get little more than a bed and a small locker to keep your belongings in, but often there is a free breakfast. We had a small n-e meet-up in lodon, and we stayed at the Clink Hotel. There were 6 of us and while it was not glamorous, it provided a place to crash. We did have a few problems, but for our needs it was good enough; a five-minute-at-the-most walk from King's Cross stations. Travel Lodge and Premier Inn (Travel Inn) have way nicer facilities, usually with en-suites included, but you will be looking at increased costs and increased distance from the city centre. This post has included links to three separate hostel search sites, and the prices shown are not all for two adults, so you should mess around with the search options. This thread is legal No worries about that. Just establish your price range and distance you're willing to travel. If the gig finishes late then it'll be essential you take that into account - taxiing across london is not an efficient way to travel! p.s. your link doesn't work :P their myspace'd be better. I note the gig starts at 7.30 so you'll be looking at travel around 10 or 11pm. Let's hope someone with a better knowledge of public transport offers their advice on that.
  7. Short answer: yes. Long answer? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees.
  8. That was my piss bush first, and I was trying to make you feel better. Sorry I poked you in the eye with mine.
  9. Geez, for ReZ to say that it's a small penis, you must be in trouble.
  10. That top looks like something my gradfather wears. He normally would wear it with a dark amber/ochre yellow. I'm-a call him now and tell him how blinging he looks to the youth, yo.
  11. Gleeee... new purple phone. It's purple and comes with rubbish backgrounds and I don't know how to transport the chessmaster game that I paid £5 for from my old one to the new. But now I got who wants to be a millionaire, monopoly and solitaire! Not too shabby.
  12. "... that flew into the twin towers, it was the twin towers that flew into the planes." no? Curses zell!
  13. "... we hope you enjoy your 12-hour flight. We are lucky enough to have McFly on board, who will be taking requests throughout!" *noooooooooooooooooooo*
  14. Moi? Well I most certainly can't unmerge them. But seriously, why is it better separate?! I've never got that. But you gotta admit; it's better with cake.
  15. Oooh grunchie got owned
  16. Letty; so you're moving in with jordan and you're quitting your job? :P You r winnar! I got my noo phone through today. It's PURPLE. The new cable meant I could rip the pics off of my old phone and now facebook is heffalumped. Been playing PURE for a bit; mighty fun. Got about 30 mins to kill before I hit up the pub with my mad-crazy clumsiness. Watch out pints! Here I come! *bump*
  17. Finished Mad Men Season 1, and I enjoyed it muchly. It's not action-packed, and is very much about the way life was so different 50 years ago. There aren't major plot twists, just subtle secrecies and deceptions. There are some strong lead characters and plenty of interesting secondary ones, which become moreso as the season progresses. There's only 10 episodes in season 2, I'm guessing it was cancelled? I can see why, but it's still a nice watch. I suppose I'll get hooked on The Wire after i'm through with this
  18. I think they could do a range of sweet flavours. Imagine honey and banana! Chocolate and peanut butter... Fuck, peanut butter, man! Mmm...
  19. From my facebook; ME: Yeah! I got a new toothbrush :D CHRIS: nice! what model??? i am soo jealous. ME: Just the standard Oral B UR-L4M3 model. CHRIS: fraid it doesn't knock my Braun 5TfU-j00 Loozer model out the water then. ME:I stand by my first comment. /topic. Ok, so it's not deep or anything, but shh.
  20. Happy birthday dudes! I'll be seeing dan later for birthday bumps. Rawr.
  21. Did a bit of rock-band-age. Finished season 1 of Mad Men. Not my normal TV series but it's strangely compelling considering nothing ever seems to happen. Dan; I was right. You'll see... Gonna watch Eagle Eye (hand-held video) in a bit, then another movie or season 2 of mad men. I feel quite lonesome right now! Strange, new-yet-old feeling. Hum. howdidyounotlikeseason4wtfidon'tunderstand! :P I loved it. One of my favourite so far. I like to think of Lost as this already complete novel which unveils a chapter each week (I know this isn;t true) as opposed to most other shows where each season is a self-contained novel, with sequels and such. Lost is, I reckon, going to seem a lot more complete when it finishes. Plus season 4 was awesome.
  22. Dan: I was thinking that. Practiced my Patrick robot walk but figured I'll be far too drunk too soon to pull it off. Plus I'd need to get a police uniform. But of course there'd only be one dance. The Robot. Hell yeah.
  23. Since the decline of hat stands circa 1956, what has been used as an impromptu replacement ever since? These ideas are always way funnier in my head. What's the difference between a horse and a unicorn? Is that better?
  24. Yo. So it's looking likely that my juggling society will probably have a robot-themed social next month. I'm thinking I may want to start making a costume now. Main problems I encountered with the pirate costume was nowhere to put props when not in use, and bloody hell it gets hot quick. Does anyone have any ideas for light-weight, cool costumes? Currently I'm thinking of cutting up boxes and big bottles and covering them all to shit with tin-foil and 'buttons', but this will be sweltering. Month after might be Star Wars too, and I don't really want to pay for any costumes...
