The picture roles were very cool, but it put the town at a disadvantage when the mafia made fake ones. It was hard to judge wither they were real or fake, really, but then the whole "quote your PM" as a form of proof of ID is a wobbly bit of ground anyway. I like mafia games where there's a twist - essentially as a GM you've set up various scenarios and it's up to the random course of events to see how it plays out. This time, the rogue mafia won but I know from personal experience that often you can vest a lot of energy and time into such a twist and see it fall at the first hurdle. You're good at mafias, diageo - and you've done them with topics I know decent enough to participate in, for which I'm glad! Even if I've been a shit player all round.

Sorry I mean your role seems to cast a suspicious eye on everyone you target, no matter what. Didn't mean to suggest you were malaligned or anything!

Because I'm quiet and I don't keep a proper hard copy of notes, and because I redirect, and because flink targetted me on the first night and made me seem all shady-like!

Losing my notes is genuinely something that happens to me a lot in mafias :P I have a notepad with my stuff in and it's open all the time, and I don't bother saving it because I never turn my laptop off... then along comes a MS update which ticks a timer down before automatically restarting my laptop - if I'm not around to postpone it then it just does it. Throwing suspicion on me is fine. Get some investigating going and you'll see I'm good. It's not 'convenient' to lose my list -- i've posted pretty much all my targets i'm just not completely certain of my most recent one - I know I missed a phase last weekend as I sent in one night target before going to sheff but two night phases passed before I was properly online last thursday. I've PMd jonnas to see if I can get my targets so just be patient and I'll have it up.

I'm essentially a redirector. Lost my list of targets, but the last couple of nights I've not received info Night 1: Zell > heroijan Night 2: Rummy > Diageo *failed* Night 3: Rummy > Diageo Night 4: Chairdriver > Flink Night 5: I forgot to send in *I think* Night 6: I can't remember. Sent Jonnas a Pm to clear this up for me. I've learned a couple of names from the process (but nobody has replied to my earlier question, so I guess they're not crucial) If anyone knows how to switch settings so my sent messages are saved, please tell me! I've not posted much because I've not had much time to properly weed through the thread. I'd love to vote for nintendohnut right now, tbh, because I hate it when you have one mystery last for several phases (him vs dannyboy - sorry danny but no amount of shouting about your role will make it certified that you're town!) that's ne'er dealt with.

Lesson learned; back up the irreplaceable stuff first :P

All this king stuff just seems like an overwrought sidestory to the main point; we have people who can kill. We have their names. We have a neutral. Chasing a neutral is better than slinging words about for 50 pages because we get more information with a death and a new nightphase, and less chance of being distracted by nonsense and hyperbolic suppositions. I don't post much because I'm not willing to get involved with baseless gossip :P If nintendohnut is neutral then why did both dazz and rummy get their results wrong? If rummy is a stupid cop then we can dismiss his other results, but if dazz's info on nintendohnut is wrong then surely we have to dismiss all his previous results as well? That's the evidence we have. Two investigators have gotten nintendohnut's alignment wrong, according to nintendohnut. Not just wrong, but opposedly wrong. This is something solveable right now, rather than umming and erring over potentially flavoursome and irrelevent text. Unless someone wants to succinctly surmise the arguments on marc, I'm happy with offing a neutral.
