  1. Thanks for the games. A decent selection of tracks, I thought we were going to get to race on both F-Zero tracks for a minute there. (Oh well, I guess Mute City is an appropriate pick for this week, I joined the Discord chat after the first set of races but @Glen-i and @BowserBasher seemed to be having a deep conversation about shells and bananas, so I left them to it.) Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (26/05/2022)
  2. Nintendo eShop new releases (week 13) The thirteenth week of releases, (from last month) sees 1 retail title, 31 new digital games, 9 DLC's and 2 demo's added to the eShop. Well done to @BowserBasher who got last week's... "Guess the Videogame Character" It was... Captain Falcon (the original image can be found here) I'll post the answer and/or the name of whoever guessed correctly at the same time as the next article. Check the article for the full roundup.

  4. Thanks for the games. Some close races there, I think the chat on Discord was working towards the end, I could hear but I wasn't sure if the mic was picking up. Must have been the recent windows update, changing the settings again, It all should be working properly for next week. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! Sonic Origins - June 23, 2022 Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - July 29, 2022 Splatoon 3 - September 9, 2022 Check out the press releases and trailers in the article. (trying this out as a new format, three articles in one, this may work for times when there are lots of release dates)
  12. There's even more call for it now, as Aspyr have been re-releasing all kinds of Star Wars games. (some good, some not so good) I can't think of any reason why these games shouldn't be released now more than ever, especially as the Star Wars franchise is at its most prolific right now, across all media.
  13. At this point, I don't know why they wouldn't release it, as it's just money on the table.
  14. Thanks for the games. A decent turnout this week. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (21/04/2022)
  15. Nintendo eShop new releases (week 11) The eleventh week of releases, (from the other... month?) sees 2 retail titles, 29 new digital games, 9 DLC's and 1 demo added to the eShop. I've highlighted some of the games which stand out for various reasons. Highlight / Deal of the Week / Award for... / & Worth checking out (This (last, last, last, last?) weeks article was posted almost a couple of weeks on from the last one, the next one will be posted...) Well done to @Jonnas who got last weeks "Guess the Videogame song lyrics" as it was "Captain Falcon's Theme" from F-Zero GX. There's a new one for this week, I'll post the answer and/or the name of whoever guessed correctly at the same time as the next article. Check the article for the full roundup.
  16. Thanks for the games. Some decent races there. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (14/04/2022)
  17. @lostmario That is a nice deal indeed, especially considering that a fully complete boxed copy of Pokemon Stadium can cost around £100 on its own. I'd say that £140 for that bundle is very good. Nicely done. - - - - - On the selling front... I've been going through a lot of games in my collection, deciding which games to keep and which to move on. I'm still going through Nintendo and Sega games/consoles at the moment. Halving what I own on most Nintendo consoles seems like a sensible approach, seeing as I genuinely don't play many of the games I own any more. A fair few GameCube games will still be kept, N64 titles down to the basics, SNES as well as I never owned that many titles, and NES. Wii games could definitely do with downsizing, Wii U... there isn't much to part with. Portable games will take a bit more consideration perhaps. On the Sega front, I only own mostly the staple Sega titles, some racing and shmup games... similar on the Saturn front, though I have the main Sega staple titles again. Sega Mega-CD has been reduced, 32X is all but gone, aside from the console, Mega Drive and Master System games need to be gone through. Playstation and Xbox brand games, I'll go through again after the main retro, then I've just got controllers and peripherals to go through. - - - On the buying front... I bought a modded MK1 Sega Saturn, so that I'd have a working machine again, as I discovered that my multiple MK2 Saturns didn't seem to be in the greatest condition. The MK1 Saturn is great though, it has the "reset" button mod to toggle between regions, full recap, and the RAM switched out so that the saves shouldn't get lost. I bought a BroadBand adapter for the Sega Dreamcast, along with a small keyboard for playing PSO on. And some replacement Xbox 360 wired mono headsets, because the one I bought a few years ago, the cable has become unreliable, I don't use the mic on it, but the mono headset is useful for when you want to talk on a proper mic, or just listen to audio on a video in the background without being completely distracted/immersed by using stereo headphones. Oh, and a load of GameCube controller cable extenders, to get more use out of the Nintendo GameCube Keyboard Controller I bought over a year and a half ago. That's just about it.
  18. Thanks for the games. A reasonably good turnout, nice theme for the tracks as well. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (07/04/2022)
  19. Nintendo eShop new releases (week 10) The tenth week of releases, (from the other... month?) sees 3 retail titles, 30 new digital games, 8 DLC's and 0 demo's added to the eShop. I've highlighted some of the games which stand out for various reasons. Highlight / Deal of the Week / Award for... / & Worth checking out (This (last, last, last?) weeks article was posted a couple of weeks on from the last one, the next one will be posted...) Incidentally, I've found a more efficient way to collate all the information, which potentially means subsequent editions may appear sooner. Well done to @Ike @Hero-of-Time and @Jonnas who got last weeks "Guess the Videogame song lyrics" as it was "I am... All of me" from Shadow the Hedgehog. There's a new one for this week, I'll post the answer and/or the name of whoever guessed correctly at the same time as the next article. (also, thanks for the guesses, you can PM me them if you want, though it's probably best just to put your guess in the thread in a spoiler box) Check the article for the full roundup.
  20. That's a useful list, thanks for posting. I've looked through, and while I acknowledge that there are plenty of exclusive titles which will be lost, that didn't get Switch ports etc, from both consoles, there isn't much (if anything) that I'll be scrambling over to download like I did with the Wii Virtual Console. I have all the VC games I could want, I'm pretty sure I downloaded all the Sega 3D Classics, plus I have the physical collection which got released in the UK. Aside from that? That's it really, the Fire Emblem Fates situation could be easily fixed with a Switch port, of course it wouldn't be exactly the same, but it could be worth doing for Nintendo, especially as that would keep interest in the series going. Although, maybe these games are better off as console exclusives? The moment that Nintendo releases a new console, the whole discussion will start over again, aside from whatever can reasonably be accessed on whatever the new machine will be, being that proper accounts seemingly exist now. Though I would have thought that whatever console comes out next (if at all) would be backwards compatible with all Switch software. I'm not too concerned going forward, I used to own a lot of Switch games, but I'm down to half of what I used to own in terms of boxed titles. I recently took the Wii U off my desk, to make room for a Sega Saturn... I could load it up, see if the GamePad still works/has battery power etc, connect it up to the internet and see what's there, but it's not really a priority, I think soon I'll start looking at what Wii U games I have, and will likely only keep a select few. I'm glad that my 3DS is still there, for those times when I might choose to play it, but I haven't used it much recently, despite the wealth of software available for it. It's just not a priority for me right now... Though if anyone is planning on buying some items on the eShop(s), (or not) I'd be interested to hear what is a priority for you, in this moment.
  21. Thanks for the games. A good night overall, considering that we had five players for most of the sets of races. I streamed the gameplay on my Twitch channel, here's a link to the video... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (31/03/2022)
  22. I might have two more players joining, should make up the numbers. Or at least one anyway. my brother, he's just joined.
  23. I had Slay the Spire on the Switch, I never played it, sold it, and I don't subscribe to PS Plus any more, so it's not likely that I'll play it... ever. I used to buy games and tell myself "I'll play that one day..." because I see these games being enjoyed, and part of me used to think, "well... I'll give it a try, because it's surely a great game" but I now realise that there are plenty of games which I have no intention of playing, and I'm fine with it. It's a bit like me telling everyone "You should play Phantasy Star Online" as there are many ways that you can play it online now, for free even, but I recognise that it's not for everyone, just like any game. I play it a lot, and I can see that many people might look at it and say "Why would you want to keep playing it?" but if you've played it in the past, then chances are that you're already sold on the game, or not as the case may be. It's nice to see that other people enjoy various games, and are passionate about them, I can even see why certain games are popular from the screenshots and videos which are shared, but for many games, I just can't buy them and let them sit on the shelf or in the digital library when there's no desire to play them. - - - - - This latest change to PS Plus is going to be interesting for a lot of gamers, as it will offer many the chance to play a lot of classic Playstation games for what isn't a huge amount of money, providing that you intend to get many hours of playtime within the time that you are subscribed. Nothing to sway me, but I do hope that there are a lot of classic PS games which will be added, so that many more people can have the chance to play them (or not) as there are many retro PS games across PS/PS2/PS3/PS4 which have become too highly priced to recommend that anyone actually buys them, unless they really want to own them and play them. Strider 2 is a great example, I bought a copy of that, played it and will likely sell it, as while it's an excellent game, and even comes with a fantastic port of Strider as well, it's an £80+ game now... and while I do like the game, I can't see myself keeping it or wanting to play it again. Perhaps PS Plus subscribers will get their money's worth if there are enough old RPG's on the service, as some of those can take 50-100+ hours to complete, although obviously if you're part-way through playing a long game, and your subscription happens to lapse, I could see that becoming an inconvenience.
  24. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel delayed until Spring 2023 Now up on the main page. Text from the video, the video itself and a slightly altered banner image using a scene from the trailer. This time, next year a new Zelda game should be released then.
  25. Thanks for the games. Some close races there, and a good selection of tracks. I streamed the gameplay on my Twitch channel, here's a link to the video... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (24/03/2022)
