  1. Yep, I'm looking forward to this too. Love the first one and as everyone is hoping - all the flaws are addressed.
  2. I do assume that you have re-synced your wireless keyboard to its hub, by pressing the calibration button? New batteries being added will lose it's sync you see. And as someone else has said - if you can't get the POST funtions to work prior to windows booting - it completely proves that it's nowt to do with Windows. Switching things off on MSCONFIG is just the same as starting your PC in Safe Mode. A wireless keyboard will still work fine under that.
  3. I've yet to play Uncharted 2 yet, which the whole world is saying is miles better. I can't wait to get it. But, Uncharted 1, even though is a really great game, failed to blow me away like Tomb Raider 1 did all these years ago. TR was an excellent exploration game. Uncharted had far too much emphasis on shooting and running for cover. This though, TR Guardian that is, does look pants and as others have said - looks like Diablo
  4. The beginning of a long and beautiful relationship.

  5. The trouble with laptops is that people use them as often as a desktop. That really was never the purpose of a laptop. Sadly they don't have the same air flow as a large cavity desktop, therefore, prone to breaking done after constant usage. I know people like the portability and the space saving of them, but if you are a constant user, do consider a desktop instead.
  6. I hear two manufacturers here that I say avoid like the plague. Dell and Lenovo. Utter crap components in lappies and awful after sales service. The amount of problems I see and have to try and fix with these brands are unbelievable. Perhaps it's just due to the huge uptake of them and that's the most type that I see but I'm not impressed. Get yourself an ACER, they have a huge range of specs to suit anyones budget and are far more stable machines.
  7. To be honest, it can be a great number of things. Damaged mobo, or processor. It could have worked fine after the bump it got, then after the system cooled down after being switched off - it would develop the fault (a possible crack in the mobo). It depends if you are confident about stripping down a laptop. Reseating the processor and a quick check of the internals will perhaps help.
  8. I've got this on the PC and the DLC comes integrated in within the main game. But see that ferkin Bonfire level. I just gave up and not returned to the game yet - I keep getting killed time and time again. There are not enough fires to keep me in the air, lol. I really ought to go back to it though.

    Limbo

Now there was a hard game. I was doing well with it until about half way through and it is as taxing as hell. Really good game though.
  10. For me, nothing beats the old classics. For the 8-bit era:- Target Renegade (128k) on the ZX Spectrum contains a whole bundle of my all time favourite tunes. Glider Rider - another fantastic tuneage. 16 bit era:- Wolfchild for the Amiga 32 bit era - Probably Tomb Raider After that, it sounds odd but I just don't seem to notice like I once did.

    Limbo

Oh you're tempting me, lol. If I brought a 360 home on top of everything else I've got, the missus would treat it the same as if I brought a stray dog home with me. There are things that you keep your eye on that always lure you towards a particular system. All in all, I am far more impressed with the indie scene on XBLA than the competitors equivalents.

    Limbo

Ello chaps. Been a lurker here for such a long time but only really decided to post recently. I was wondering if anyone has tried Limbo on the 360 yet. It looks divine, but sadly I've just recently opted for the PS3 to complement my Wii. Not that I'm really complaining, but I've been watching the development of this indie title for quite some time. I'm just gutted that it isn't for the PC as well.
  13. DK is one of those games that I loved but like Diddy Kong Racing and Banjo Kazooie - I only ever got so far and then found it brick hard to progress any further. I need to revisit them and try again from scratch.
  14. The retro levels seems to have been really popular in SMG2. Perhaps a re re-imagination of Super Mario World? Platform games are very limited in terms of themes for each level. Sand, Snow, Greenery, Fire, Water etc. Do we really want to rehash them and flog that dead horse some more? Don't get me wrong SMG2 is utterly divine and it is up there with the best of the best. Well done Nintendo. But what we don't want is SM Sunshine being repeated on the success of SM 64. Not that it was a crap game, it just lacked diversity being solely in a tropical background. It's a good question of where to take Mario next. It's certainly something I'm not worried about though - I have faith that Nintendo will take it somewhere we all love and enjoy.
