  1. Definitely OOT on 3DS. You could buy Gamecube Wind Waker and a controller on eBay and play it on the Wii. They'd be the two games I'd recommend.
  2. 6pm in LA? or here? HYPE.
  3. Haven't seen todays, but I watched about a minute of gameplay from perhaps the last 5min gameplay video (before deciding not to watch any more) - Link was running around some temple ruins in grassland. For all I know that's could describe a lot of the game :p But yeah, it does look hazy. Has this been a point of interest/concern?
  4. Granted I've tried to keep away from media on this, but the small bits of footage I've seen the visuals look kinda dulled out...? Right? or just certain areas of the game?
  5. Why do you consider it a leak? It's their game essentially. They can tease what they want.
  6. Nope never. And please let's keep it that way :p
  7. This actually looks a lot of fun.
  8. Same. I was ready to look out for one in Black Friday. I did fancy Pokémon Sun though. That Lion. But ah well.
  9. Sweet! Now I can save on buying a 3DS
  10. I'm curious as to where they'd go with a sequel. They've already developed the biggest open-world Hyrule, full of different geological locations and weather... how do you do a sequel to that? Majora's Mask did a parallel dimension like formula and mixed up the assets - you can't really take that approach again... I mean, you can, but you'd get called out on it. Other franchises like GTA, Assassins Creed have the advantage of being able to change location when they repeat the formula, Mass Effect can go to different planets. Where as with Zelda you have that same 'Middle Earth' like fantasy landscape, and perhaps that's part of the reason why it's tough to make sequels in the series, and why the likes of Twilight Princess are just telling the same story again. With Zelda, we've done the sea, we've done the sky... in what other ways do you re-use the assets you've built for Breath of the Wild? Yes Link's Awakening did it, but a huge Island habitat to explore could be fun. Or do you take a DLC/Season Pass like approach, and for example, bring Winter to Hyrule. Same Breath of the Wild landscape, but this time the entire kingdom is under a foot of snow, waterfalls and lakes have frozen over, habitats and species are struggling as a result, and there's a new icy big bad in town. Plus who doesn't want to ice skate on a frozen lake in Castle Town.
  11. I just want a Eagle/Owl to fly around this giant world on.
  12. If delays were a regular occurrence for Nintendo, then sure, call them out on it. But it's something that happens rarely. Nintendo are obviously making a very difficult transition at the moment. It started with HD development and has continued throughout the life of the Wii U. As I said earlier, Zelda's problematic development is synonymous with Nintendo's own struggles. To me Zelda feels like Nintendo growing/learning and figuring out what it takes to fight in todays modern gaming landscape.
  13. It instantly reminded me of Star Trek. And upon finding out it's the same composer, it's strange he seemingly just ripped off his own fantastic score.
  14. For me it doesn't really matter because my focus shifts to other releases/media. Plus a game's development can be an enjoyable narrative in itself. As long as I know a game is actively being worked on I'll happily wait. However, if The Last Guardian were to disappear again for 7 years, I'd quite likely say 'sod it' and move on. However, if in 7 years time it were to be shown at E3 and blow the world away, I'd snap it up in a heart beat. I wouldn't hold a lasting grudge against a game for such a matter.
  15. What are they doing for the next year whilst they wait?
  16. To play devils advocate. If the Wii U is your only console you'd probably have a case to be annoyed. I would expect the vast majority of those console sales came with the assumption that they'd be playing Nintendo's first HD Mario and Zelda on it (Wind Waker remake aside). For those who have to think about their game and console purchases wisely due to the cost of gaming, these people may now feel short changed. Ultimately I think Nintendo have just got themselves into an incredibly bad situation over the last few years. HD development, restructuring, loss, being out of touch, game releases etc... etc... we're all aware of their shortcomings. Breath of the Wild is not only a breath of fresh air for the Zelda franchise, but for Nintendo as a company. To me it almost feels like this game is synonymous with their hopeful turnaround. Nintendo's Awakening.
  17. If you only own a Nintendo console then yes there is probably reason to be annoyed by the length of time it is taking the game to come out. But other than that I can't see any reason for argument. There are too many games to play as it is. And if Zelda is your favourite, you may be left wanting, but surely it's worth the wait. For me it is. I'd want any game to be as good as it can be. I'd be happy with The Last Guardian taking another year to come out, knowing that it's actively been in development again. I'm almost worried it's only been 18 months since its re-reveal.
  18. In a strange way, I'd almost be more inclined to buy a Switch at Launch, knowing there's a Zelda coming at Christmas because it gives the first year longevity. However in saying that... a) It could mean the launch line-up is weaker is a result, if Zelda was originally planned to be there, and b) the first year could be given longevity anyway in January when we hopefully hear of many more games. I've got to be honest. There was a point when I was just feeling like Mario and Zelda were the only franchises Nintendo would focus on. I don't want them all the time. I'd rather they be spaced out and varied. You have to think that whatever Zelda follows is going to have to be drastically different again. The problem with Hyrule as a land is that it generally always encompasses all environments, so how will the next Zelda differentiate itself from an already open world Hyrule?
  19. It's my favourite Disney film, but I thought it looked awful. Like a fan-flick.
  20. Push it to Christmas 2017. That seasonal magic.
  21. £100 and I think I'd bite.
  22. Just watching Easy Allies Tuesday group stream and they've just mentioned Nintendo sent out a press release saying there will be a $100 New 3DS deal on Black Friday. Has anyone heard anything more about this? Is this only through the Nintendo store etc...
  23. Switch is available on Amazon! ... oh wait.
  24. I was gonna bring that up :p Damn that game.
