@Wii, you realise you yourself can create threads! nobody is going to do it for you.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Retro_Link replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I preferred Fi to Midna. There I said it. But I didn't really like Twilight Princess and really enjoyed Skyward Sword so may just be basing it on that. -
I think it's a nice mix tbh, there's plenty of new PS4 and Indie games I'd want too. But like I said I was late to the PS party.
-
Hardly anyone picked up a Vita, Tearaway and Gravity Rush, YES PLEASE!!
-
Yeah the IGN podcast crew were saying something like 70% of PS4 owners were 360 owners last gen, or some sort of statistic like that??? and so loads have missed out no franchises like Uncharted and GOW. Personally I'm happy with remakes, I didn't own a PS2, and was late to the PS3, so am ecstatic about the likes of The Last of Us and Tomb Raider. Might even give this one a go, and I'd love a Mass Effect Trilogy/Red Dead Redemption remake before the sequels comes out. Also @dazzybee you say Nintendo don't do it, but I'd rather the Wii games they're selling on the eshop were actual HD remakes than what they are. You can just buy the Wii games and play them on Wii U.
-
It doesn't really look like it's getting a remastering as such, just a bit of an visual update, like they did with GOW 1 & 2 for the PS3, so maybe they feel like they've already 'remade' those. They should bundle them altogether at least though.

Yeah the Toad Amiibo is cool. Would make a great 'paperweight' (although it's prob not heavy enough :p).

Serebii, that wasn't what KingV said/asked/wanted to know. -

If that's the case then hopefully they might handle it in a Metroid Prime type way and have the story found throughout the temple and over world. -

I didn't word that very well, I meant Dragon Age and Witcher 3 the main story may take a back seat, and then there's the likes of Mass Effect where you create your own. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I did enjoy playing Minish Cap as part of the Ambassador Programme, however it couldn't absorb me as much as a 3D Zelda, but I did love the shrinking mechanic. I got frustrated and stopped playing though because I'm pretty sure it locked me out of being able to advance, during that part with the progressive goron cave. Ended up having to watch the ending on youtube. Wasn't great. Nice game though. The woodlands and castle town especially. -
What about Tropical Freeze? Is Pikmin 3 really that good!? W101 does look interesting, but not enough to sell me the system.

I haven't played 3D World either, but I don't really understand why a button press would be a better solition. Maybe it does give you more precision (although I'm not sure why it would), but isn't it taking away some of the skill? Isn't that what 3D platforming is supposed to be about? Super Monkey Ball shows exactly what an analogue stick is all about when it comes to creating a challenging game that is all about the players skill and precision with navigation. You wouldn't want to hold a button down in that to be able to straight line or something. Heck I'm not sure why I need to use that as an example when I need look no further than 64/Sunshine/Galaxy. Surely the choice in 3D World was purely done for a reason like the camera and level layout.

I still feel you're being too general in your assumptions @Ronnie.Have you played the Infamous series? and I'd imagine [despite having not played it] Sunset Overdrive is the same, in that it's very much about the world. What about the Arkham series, very much about exploration and atmosphere. What about these epic 80+ hour adventures like Dragon Age, The Witcher, Mass Effect, where the story itself almost takes a complete back seat, or you create your own. Alien Isolation, far more about learning the gameplay than cinematics. I think it's fair to level your AAA comments at certain series like Call of Duty or Uncharted, but what I think you maybe forget is that these are the exact experiences these games have set out to create. Uncharted, The Order, these are meant to play out like cinematic, interactive narrative experiences. Arguably it's a genre the Wii U is missing out on whether it's for you or not, as there's a huge market for them. -

@dazzybee loosing a Pikmin has affected you far more than say, the last 7 mins of Ocarina of Time, or Journey? Anyway, yeah I think if I just owned a Playstation or XBox I'd feel I was missing out on a lot from Nintendo too. However, it's just something about the Wii U, I don't know what it is but I just don't like the vibe it gives off or the games it's providing particularly. Of all the games on the machine since launch really the only ones I feel like I'd like to play are Mario Kart and Tropical Freeze. Can I justify getting a console for 2 games, I don't think so really. Sure if I bought one i'd pick a couple of others up, but right now I feel I can get away with it without that feeling of missing out. Stupid Wii U, what is it about you. -
Thank god someone argued against Mario Splatoon!!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I imagine it would interest a lot of people! However 2D Zelda doesn't do it for me, so I'd rather if they were going to do it they'd outsource it like they did with Four Swords. -
For a completely new team of unknown characters with no story behind any of them, the DKR characters were great.
-
He said 'why don't they do more of it'. So many unused franchises in Nintendo's arsenal right now.

the fact that you can't see that's literally all you've been going out of your way to do on here recently with Wii is mind blowing. I know it's been ruining threads for me. Sorry but I just don't believe you.You play the likes of Mighty Switch Force don't you? and yet Velocity 2x doesn't even interest you? I think that if the vast majority of the indie games listed were coming to WiiU you'd be creating threads about them, keeping up with them, and there on day 1 to buy them. -

Thats incredibly hypocritical of you Serebii, when you have a history of flat out telling people that Nintendo will never do certain things and that you know this to be the case; something disproved just this week. At times you aren't even prepared to consider or have fun discussing peoples ideas before shooting them down. -

No what Sheilah is talking about I believe, is the annual sequels that get pumped out from certain franchises. Not that the consoles lack variety in their line-ups. Anyway, you be trollin'. -

The variety is there without the indies @Ronnie, however you can't see it, and so it's just easier to try coming at it from that angle tbh.
