  1. On paper, Everton have a strong team. But, they suffered lots of injuries at the start of the season. Look at United towards November/December last year, we had 9 defenders out. The extent of "how many of our players will be injured" is something that can't be answered. However, the team will be playing games in a short space of time. You could have a game on the Sunday, fly out to a European game for Wednesday and then be back for Saturday. Injuries will be picked up, players will get tired and some go through a loss of form. I didn't say they needed lots of new signings, but I do think a few would be useful. Especially for these european games. I'm not doubting that Tottenham have a strong first 11 and they do, as you rightly say, have quite a good squad. But, I bet even Harry himself would particularly like to have one or two new faces in this squad.
  2. 3 years ago, eh? This is the part in the film where we find out we're actually the same person.
  3. Same, I love my coat. It has lost a button though, so I need to fix that. Yeah, I've had a few compliments about it as well. The only issue is that I bought it in a smaller size when I was skinnier. Now that I've put on some weight, it does feel tighter. Damn foresight! or lack of it. I'm looking for a new one at the moment.
  4. Hmm, I'll try your technique of turning the guiding thing off. I need to rely on instinct! Not lines. The Onii King really did piss me off whilst I was playing it. Sent in my archers first of all to hit the pots that were coming at me. But, I found it hard to seriously damage him. I took about half damage off before I died. Then, somehow, I managed to do it without losing any of my men. Hurrah! It's a great game. I'm a little worried that I may have seen everything that can be seen already, but I hope I'm wrong there. This game also makes me a little sadfaced that we haven't seen a new Pikmin yet.
  5. It has been quieter, but I'm tempted to agree with Ashley on this. It'll get busier again. Also, I think most threads get created in the daytime? So, by the time the night comes around, most people have already read the replies and stuff. What we need is...A night crew, to make threads during the early hours, to keep us owls entertained. :p
  6. Hmm, it's going to be a tough year ahead. I think Spurs might find it hard getting into the top 4 again, mainly because they haven't made any signings to help with their fixtures this season. The travelling will take a lot out of them. A few extra players would help, though. City are still spending, so they'll be making a big push. I think this will be the year where they get into the top 4. They missed out last year, but I think they'll do it this year. If they don't, they'll keep spending until they get there. Maybe just being in the top 4 won't be enough, maybe they'll be pushing for higher this season. What I would like Man Utd Arsenal Spurs Chelsea Everton Villa Liverpool City What I think will happen Chelsea Man Utd Arsenal City Liverpool Spurs Everton Villa
  7. Ok, so I've been playing a fair bit of this, and here are my impressions so far. It's a great game. I'm really enjoying the upgrade-your-town aspect of it. I'm visiting quite often to see if anything new has come up, haha. The art style and humour is wonderful, and I'm surprised by the difficulty of this game. I died quite a lot against the Onii King! The only thing that is slightly annoying me is to do with the controls. Where you press Z to aim, and you see that "line". Sometimes, even if you're just slightly off, my party will run straight past an enemy! I would prefer something like the Zelda games, where you can lock on to a target, and then you just throw the party towards that target. Apart from that, I'm loving everything about the game. You do get the sense that you are the owner of a thriving town. Just like Pikmin, you become attached the characters and feel sad if one of them does die in battle.
  8. Hahahhhhhah. I love that song, for the hideously awful lyrics. "I don't want to see a Ghost, It's a sight that I fear most, Rather have a piece of toast, Watching the evening news... Life! Oh Life! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Life-i-i-i-i-ife! Oh Life! Dooooo Doodoo dooooo" I smell a thread rip for bad song lyrics emerging.
  9. *sniggers* Awww. I'm not going to see much where I am. At least, I don't think I will. Just had a look outside and couldn't make out anything, so might try again when I get my glasses from the car.
  10. Haha, the world is a funny place when people like Phil Brown exist. He's a terrible singer... Looks like Ricardo Carvalho is set to sign for Real Madrid. 6.7mllion. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/8902830.stm Maybe that means that the rumours over Ashley Cole going to Madrid will cease, as I can't imagine Chelsea letting both of them go.
  11. Haha, it makes me laugh when I see white t-shirts going for stupid prices. A few years back, I bought a coat from the men's section in Zara. I paid something like 80 quid for it. I'd spent the day looking for a coat and had seen some ones which were more expensive and didn't look as great as this one. It was what I was looking for, so I was happy to part with the cash. Quite similar to that one. Getting a good coat can be quite expensive.
  12. I'm not the type to go out and buy something like this: Mainly because I'm not a walking advertising board. I usually go shopping for clothes with a nice design, something that will suit me. For example, I bluddy love my Muppets t-shirt (Animal) because I'm a fan, and also because its quite colourful. With shirts, I usually go for something that either looks smart, or casual/comfortable. I probably spend between 15 to 30 quid on shirts. Usually its towards the 30 quid end. As look as it looks good, feels comfortable, then I'm happy. Although, I don't really like paying anything that much more above 25 quid for a shirt.
  13. It's got better than that. But, that is the exact moment where I thought "hmm, it's just not that great anymore."
  14. The one that springs to mind is The Simpsons. In fact, I was just talking about this with a few friends just over a week ago. I'm a big fan of the series. Even if some of the episodes are not side-splittingly funny, they're still watchable and enjoyable. However, my perception of the series for the last 5 or so years has changed. I remember the moment very well. I sat down to watch the show, and suddenly Bart was reenacting the White Stripes Video of The Hardest Button to Button. As soon as that "scene" had finished, I just sat there in silence. What was the reason or the point for that? Since then, I've found it hard to sit through some episodes, particularly when they use music tracks in the show. I hate it. It just doesn't fit in. Like in the movie for example, they had Green Day. Why?!
  15. Haha, that's pretty much what I'm expecting. I'm not expecting it to make much sense, or have the best acting. If it's anything like Rambo 2, I'll die a happy man.
  16. You know your history. Very good. I'm not sure exactly what Nintendo could do with the vitality sensor. There's a few good ideas, I'm sure. But, how does that work across different genres of games? Is it something that could work in Sports games, as well as Adventure games, or puzzle games? Hmm. In truth, I don't even know where to begin to guess where they'll go next. As long as they know what they're doing, thats alright. Will they stick with the Wiimote? I hope we see some kind of evolution from that. Maybe incorporate the vitality sensor alongside that, somehow. I just can't see it being the focal point of how we play our games.
  17. Yeah, but I think that's "the shit" as in "that shit is good." Some drugs are refered to as "shit": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shit#Drug_usage So, it's "that shit is good" rather than the stuff that comes out of your arse. There's a difference between "Dannyboy is shit" and "Dannyboy is the shit."
  18. Tits means that it is good. Because tits are good.
  19. Is anybody else looking forward to this? The idea behind it is just so absurd, but probably in the best possible way. Stallone, Jet Li, Lundgren, Statham, Rourke...not to mention cameos from Willis and Schwarzenegger. They've basically just taken action film stars from the last 20/30 years and put them together in one film. I can't wait.
  20. I can see why it would be fun to have themes, and stuff. But, that's not what everyone wants. I think the gallery worked fine before, it was a nice way for people to show their adventures outside of the forum. There's been some quality moments in there, and it helps with putting faces to the names.
  21. Happy birthday, mcj! METROIIIIID. Hope you're having a good one.
  22. I'm with Dan on this one. I like owning the physical material, so owning CDs, DVDs, and books themselves. There's just something really satisfying about turning the page and seeing what lies on the other side. The physical side of things is important to me, not to mention that books smell incredible. Of course, this is still very useful. Not all people think the same way that we do. There's no doubt that this is very practical. In fact, if you were on the move quite often, then this object would be very ideal. Saves you carrying around your collection of books from place to place. I can see why people would want it.
  23. I feel for you, Villan. There's a rumour doing the rounds that there's another player leaving aside from Milner. Reportedly, Young to Spurs.
  24. Martin O'Neill has left Aston Villa. I fucking gasped when I saw the news five minutes ago. I guess this is over the James Milner to City saga? ~ ~ ~ I thought the game yesterday was good. In the first half, there was very little between the two teams. You can see why the league was settled by a single point. Paul Scholes was absolute quality, again. He was one of the best players at the club in the second half of last season. Chicharito's goal in the second half had me laughing! Glad to see Berba score, as well.
