  1. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm avoiding reviews like the plague. What's the point in reading a review of a game you're dead set on buying anyway? In addition to that, there's a chance the review will contain some sort of spoilerific image or detail that you didn't want revealed until playing the actual game. So, that leaves us with the score. Which, as its Zelda, we all know will be pretty damn good anyway. We know its going to be great, but we won't know how great until we play it ourselves.
  2. I've enjoyed the joking and stuff in this thread. It's been awesome.
  3. You silly bitch. I was re-enacting this famous moment. I'll most likely get turned over. But, I don't give a shit. Pretty happy with how the majority of this season has gone, for my first season. I don't really care if you set tactics or forgot or not, I'm taking those points. Miiiiine.
  4. Orrrrrrrr.... We could all visit Sydney. Yeah. That's right. N-Europe meet is going Worldwide.
  5. I'll check the control shit later.
  6. Did you everr knoooooooooooooooooooooow

    that you were my herrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

  7. Awesooome! I've cancelled the amazon one and gone with that instead.
  8. I'm in the middle somewhere. I've got 2 Wiimotes and 2 motion+ attachments. Grrr. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and do it. Its only a tenner, I guess. That just means being good for the rest of the month. Edit: Preordered special edition.
  9. Ahh, two contrasting posts. So, we get the CD in regular awesome version, yes? Honestly, I guess I'll just feel bad in a way if I don't get the Wiimote. As it's one of the last big Wii titles, and a console I've bought a ton of games for, it just seems right to go with that one. Ahhhhhhhh.
  10. You're a good lad, but never mention Carroll in the same breath as those two legends. Coincidentally, I managed to catch some of Real Madrid's game against Malaga the other week. Cristiano bagged a hat-trick...would welcome him back any time! Happy that we've kept a clean sheet and bagged three points. But, beginning to get more concerned about the midfield. Anderson really looked off the boil in midweek and I'm not entirely sure if Rooney being a centre-mid will work. Seems a bit of a waste...he should be further upfield tormenting defenders.
  11. What we want: Eternal Darkness 2. What we'll probably get: Some kind of Too Human sequel or spin-off that nobody wants or cares about. I hope to God what we're thinking in this thread turns out to be true, and Nintendo have intervened.
  12. Congratulations, Jay. Please forget to set your Xpert11 tactics whilst you're out there. Also, say hello to the cast of Neighbours.
  13. Bitches, please make a decision for me because I am inept. Do I go for Zelda regular awesome edition... Or, do I go for Super Awesome Zelda Extreme Edition with Gold Wiimote and Super Music CD Deluxe IV Gaiden?
  14. I played more of this last night. It's amazing. There's just so much to like about it.
  15. Again, you disrespect The Dragooooo. Your lack of the appropriate number of O's angers me. I've kept really quiet, Jay...but I'll tell you something. You went down in my estimation when you said that. I'll tell ya - because you'll be watching - I'm still fighting to get fourth place and you've gotta go to Dragooooonia and get something. And, I'll tell you honestly, I will Love it if we beat you. Love it!
  16. I came in here about to post that exact same thing. Joke Thief!
  17. They could have out-sourced it, or collaborated with another developer. Team Ninja/Other M style. I know online gaming is meant to be the "it" thing this generation, but there's style other areas that could be addressed. I don't think re-creating GX with an online mode would do the franchise justice...it needs to continue evolving. We need more content, even more insane track designs, and more harsh environments to race in. The customising aspect of the game could also be improved further. What about a track editor? A track creator, even? Combine that with the online features, allowing you to send tracks to others online? Maybe create your own storyboard scenarios? I'd love to have all of them, but if I had to drop Mario Kart for an F Zero, I would. Mario Kart Wii is probably my biggest disappointment this generation. There's times when I do play it and think "ok, maybe it's ok after all,"...but eventually I come to my senses and realise that it is a pretty bad game. It says a lot when me and Ine haven't touched it for what must be a year now, and even before then, we rarely played it. Even before that, Double Dash was pretty lame. It has absolutely nothing on GX, or even F Zero X. The best Mario Kart in recent times was the DS version, and that was only hampered by its baffling online system. Aside from that, it had everything. Plus, the tracks were actually quite fun to race on, and there was a reasonable amount of balance to the game. Compare that with MKWii, which is random at best. Unless Nintendo actually do something to progress Mario Kart, help it evolve, I won't be buying it. Didn't buy Wii, which really does say a lot considering that I crave a decent racing game for the system.
  18. I would happily go without a Mario Kart for the next generation, if it means we were given a new F Zero in its place. F Zero GX absolutely destroyed Mario Kart (any iteration) in terms of gameplay and content. You had the awesome track design, the grand prix cups, the STORY MODE (capitalised for emphasis), the fact you could customise and create your own machines, the insane multiplayer mode, the gorgeous graphics and the booming sound. Finally, and most importantly, the speed. It's a fucking outrage we haven't had one for this generation. On DS or Wii. Disgraceful. On a system where we only really have ExciteTruck and Mario Kart, this would have gone down a treat. Why Nintendo didn't create one, I will never know. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *Ragequits post*
  19. Question: Is it pointless to buy players at this stage of the season? I'm guessing yes, as I won't have a chance to raise their DV up enough. Or, does it not count if I buy them now? Are they likely to go down a skill level at the end of the season if I buy them now?
  20. I think Nintendo do realise this, given that it's always been their own exclusive games which sell their consoles. I see what you're saying, and I agree that Nintendo should be expanding outwards. Purchasing more developers, getting them to create a wider variety of games, which ultimately works out better for us, the gamers. Wii U Essential? A Fucking F Zero.
  21. I picked this up from Asda for a measly £7.50. At that price, I thought "Why the hell not?!" When this was first revealed, I was against the idea of it. But, after hearing some of the feedback from people here, I had this in the back of my mind and was just waiting for a sweet deal. So far...loving it. It's pretty fun, the combat seems good and it just feels good to play with the Wiimote and Nunchuk. I don't know why the limited edition came with a Gold Classic Controller Pro...surely a gold wiimote would have been more fitting. Playing this with the classic controller would do the game a massive disservice. Controls are excellent, and I can't wait to play some more. Normally, I'm not too fussed on shooters, and usually only play about one or two per generation. But, very much enjoying this.
  22. I watch Match of the Day every Saturday, Match of the Day 2, and any football or rugby that I can get my hands on. (mostly football). I don't really watch a whole lot of telly, because I'm either at work, in the gym, up in my room playing some games or...sleeping or something. I'm not too keen on watching shows like Dexter every week on telly. Would rather have the boxset and watch as many episodes as I could in one go, or say two a night with Ine. I'm impatient with that...I'd probably lose a bit of interest if I had to watch only one episode every week. Not a fan of soaps or this x-factor/strictly come dancing/other popularity contest stuff. If I do watch anything, it's probably a music channel of some sort, preferably with a countdown of some kind!
  23. Really? Mertesacker seems like a good third choice. But, Koscielny (sp?) seems pretty decent from what I've seen (which is a small amount.) I'm secretly hoping for Genk to destroy Chelsea.
  24. This is a terrible shame. But, you have to wonder what goes on over there...since 2002, they have created Eternal Darkness, Twin Snakes, Too Human and this new X-Men Destiny (know nothing about this). That's 4 games in nearly 10 years. Twin Snakes was 2004, Too Human was 2008. What went on in those 4 years? It's crazy really. They clearly had talent, as Eternal Darkness is probably my favourite all time game. I can't help but feel that since then, they've never reached the same great heights as that. I find that sad.
