  1. I love this thread. It allows me to use this gif oooover and oooover.
  2. Wasn't even intentional! : peace:
  3. This is the where the Balotelli deal looks like it could make a bit of sense, imo. Every teams needs a bit of a bastard up front, or at least somebody who can cause trouble. Liverpool had it with Suarez, now they should have it with Balotelli. Sturridge and Sterling look great, are pacey, but they haven't really got enough bite there to push defenders around or piss them off a little. It's almost very one pace, just "run straight through or around them". Balotelli gives them the presence that they need. We're almost the opposite at United. We have Rooney, Van Persie and Welbeck who have presence, but very little pace anywhere else. This is where Di Maria looks like an excellent deal. (and Luke Shaw when he's finally fit)
  4. Yeah, I should be on tonight, as long as I get some exercise and work in there beforehand. And my tea, of course!

  5. Nah, you can tell Dazzy is just chatting bollocks/doing it for the lolz. I don't think he seriously believes anything he says.
  6. Yeah, it was good to play you as well!

Aye. :( I've spent far too long down here. 4 years in Brighton with a lot of friends who originate from there, London, Kent, etc and now almost 5 years in Bournemouth. Diluted as fuarkkk.

  7. OreytBladeBrah, did you enjoy Battlefield tonight you cheeky fuck?

  8. I think that match said more about City than it did Liverpool. Jovetic is, what, City's fourth striker? He was one of the best players tonight. They've got unbelievable depth now and they're just going to add to it. They've replaced the likes of Lescott and Barry in previous seasons with Mangala, Demichellis, Fernandino and Fernando. The only squad that can come anywhere near to them is Chelsea, everybody else is at least a clear step behind. The only hope that a team like Liverpool or Arsenal have is if there are serious injuries to key members at City and Chelsea like Kompany, Aguero, Toure, Costa, Hazard, Oscar, etc. If that happens and if the rivals can keep their squads fit, then maybe they can do it. Otherwise, I just can't see anyone beating City. They've got a potential Champions League winning team there. On the plus side....ANGEL DI MAFUCKINGRIA!!!11
  9. I'll come on for a few games after the footie has finished. Edit: I enjoyed that, was great! Despite me being shite as usual. Also, the sandwich tasted fucking excellent, @Blade. Cheeky bastard
  10. Don't listen to her lies, people. Anyway, @Sheikah...fuck, this game is amazing. Very, very beautiful. It seems huge in scale. Ine has easily spent more than 20 hours on this in the last three days.
  11. Fuck, I think I've already sent him mine. Wonder if I can withdraw. Edit: Aw, shitpiss, he's already accepted. Edit 2 - The Revenge: I wonder if it's worth having some sort of Blade Clock on the forum home page. "How long will Blade last before he destroys the next electrical appliance?"
  12. Whilst I'm sure Fifa15 will be great on the PS3, they will unfortunately start shifting their focus onto the next gen systems. I think the 11vs11 isn't even available on the PS3/360 for Fifa15, as they've "moved" that permanently into next gen. Awesome! I'll edit my first post to include you in there. Spurs, eh? I'm not worried then since Soldado CAN'T HIT SHIT! Looks great!
  13. Hnnnnnnnnng, Tomb Raider. I own and love three of those and Diablo looks like it could be pretty interesting. You planning to get Fifa? Not sure if Sheffield Utd are on there though because I don't think the game has the Vauxhall Conference league. Lawl.
  14. Wut? Who the fuck is talking about realism? Let's take it back a few steps. I said: (note my usage of more appealing - Would a console look more appealing to a gamer with Metroid or without it?) You said: (not sure why you start talking about realism) I said: (me summarising that the WiiU needs variation) Also, you said yes to my question at the end, which fits in with what I'm saying all along. To a gamer, (a seasoned gamer - a gamer who has a lot of experience with the medium, spending season after season gaming) a console line-up looks better with Metroid than it does without. So, not sure what you're getting at really with the whole realism thing. You must view things in binary if you consider F Zero and Metroid "realism", which is...I don't even-
  15. The type of gamer that has spent 28 years playing Metroid games for example, or the type that would complete F Zero GX's story mode on the hardest settings, the type that want challenging games but also want games of different varieites. It's nothing about being "insecure" with kiddy games, it's about variation. (as @Clownferret pointed out earlier). Why can't we have the "realism" (if you count Metroid as realism, which is lolworthy in itself) along with the "kiddy". Would you want a new Metroid? A simple yes or no will suffice.
  16. You're missing the point. Most gamers just want a Metroid game to play. It probably is never, ever going to sell ridiculous numbers because it isn't that accessible to everyone. But, that's part of the point, it's one of a select few Nintendo titles that appeals to the "hardcore", the ones who want something a bit deeper. The same type of people who buy Metroid are probably the same type who play F Zero or even Wave Race. The point that many are making about Metroid being there is that it creates a perception that the WiiU can appeal to gamers who want those deeper experiences. Add in a serious racer like F Zero, and suddenly the WiiU line-up looks more appealing to a seasoned gamer.
  17. I saw the highlights and thought it was a good performance. Hope Chadli comes good, for the national team more than anything. I can see him making it. Actually, I've sorta changed my mind about Di Maria now. True, we need a defender(s) and central midfielder(s) more than anything, but...we also need quality wingers. Somebody on Redcafe made a good point yesterday. Would we be better off spending that money on multiple players like Nani, Young, Valencia, Bebe, Obertan, Zaha...or is it better to pay extra and go for quality? Imo, we are shit on the wings...we're also shit just about everywhere else except in goal and up front! I'm fed up of seeing Valencia get the ball and not run past a player, or not taking shots. He used to have 8 good games out of 10. Now, we're lucky to get 1. Young is infuriating because I feel that he could have made it, but he's too inconsistent and goes through shit patches of form. Nani is THE definition of inconsistent and either doesn't play any more or doesn't do anything when he does play. So, yeah, thinking on it A LOT, I can't say that we don't need him. The order of priority probably goes something like...Midfielder, Defender, Winger. We're paying the price for pissing about in the transfer window last summer, as we had an opportunity then to clear out some of the players who shouldn't be here and bring some new ones in. Or to try out youth. Now, instead of having one or two seasons in transition, we probably need three or four. Maybe five.
  18. Hahahaha, oh dear. What's this I hear about your puking all over your GamePad? I know the design isn't good, but brah...that's coooold.

Also, you hooked up your PS4 yet?

  19. Pretty much this. People will buy the game because they want it. In fact, buying the game because it would help a Nintendo console out is, in my opinion, the wrong attitude to have. You should buy the game because you want to play it. Game looks great, so I'll be having some of that.
  20. Hahaha, were you more than a bit drunk last night, brah? Just got your message on my wall.

  21. *fists...clenching* The series is, what, 28 years old. That means that there will most likely be fans who have been playing Metroid games for almost three decades. That's a long, long time. So what if the game doesn't sell ridiculous numbers, it still sells quite a more than decent amount, as illustrated below: In addition to that, the games are actually really fucking good. They have included some of the best level design, character design, atmosphere and tension, sound engineering and graphics that a game has ever produced on a Nintendo console. Super Metroid was critically acclaimed. The entire Prime series was critically acclaimed and the first game in particular was one of the most iconic games of its time. The creation of a Metroid game represents more than just "making a game to sell it". It's also sometimes about just making a really, really fucking great game. The idea of creating a Metroid game shouldn't be dismissed because "Mario will sell more" or something like that, because you are ignoring an entire following of fans who live and breathe this series. Also, what a way to get the "hardcore" Nintendo fans back on side by announcing a new Metroid game. Would have gone down a storm.
  22. Fucking hell, hahahahaha. Ine and I were on facebook about 10 minutes ago looking at these photos. "Why have they taken a photo of a random couple?" "I have no idea..." Excellent photos, people. Looks like it was a great one! Hopefully we'll be able to come to next year's meet up.
  23. Leave it for tonight, brah. These troll twats have ruined your day looong enough. I read the information on that link that @Cube posted. Disgraceful, really. "Hacking"/overloading servers is one thing, but the other stuff is too far.
  24. We'll see what others say firstly about which option they would prefer, then we'll look at how to go about doing that. So, if we go with only one Barcelona, we'll then look at how that can be done. (drawing names from a hat, for example) What would people prefer out of those options? I'll post them here again in this spoiler tag:
