Mac users....or anyone with a quality display...
masaki86 replied to Lammie's topic in General Chit Chat
yup, on firefox and the (miniscule) problem is there. -
Waste of money if you ask me. They're crap, I've tried one, hated it.

I'm hoping for no EA trax(thuis customiseable soundtracks-i never had an xbox-this might have been in the other burnouts), and the death of that sodding DJ!!!

Heheh; Virtua Striker was poor imo. Been playing Sega Bass Fishing today due to the Revo controller announcement. I was always crap at it though.

I don't think I care how pretty the games are anymore
masaki86 replied to Hal_9Million's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've always said I'll get a nintendo console for the ninty goodness, and a sony for everything else-best of everything really! -
I beg to differ matey....I have been trying really hard to like it, and I mean REALLY hard, but I just don't like the idea of waving it about and such. The saving grace is the shell like normal controller that will be made. I went through quite a few phases today: 8.00am-saw controller-WTF. 8.05am-Began reading about controller-hmmm....could be good, lets give it time. 8.10am-Finished watching Video-Sweet Jesus-WTF is this crap? Noonish-Nintendo have never let me down before; it could work. 3pm-Talking to a few mates about it-General consensus; 'I don't like this' 8pm-MGS 4 pics for PS3-Sweet Visual Eye Candy!! So, as you see, apart from the last point, I have been blowing hot and cold in relation to the pad, but at the mo, I'm squarely in the negative camp....time will change that...hopefully.

Ok, just found out that the sensor is actually on the revolution; now we know what nintendo meant by 'what is in there is actually the revolution' when asked by IGN about this on the front of the revolution.

FPS games will undoubtedly be made for the Revo. The vast majority of FPS games are mature style games, so if nintendo want good FPS games, then I think they'll have to look past it.

'Anyway, my imagining is that it could also add the aspect of different control methods for each weapon. For example, you could cock it backward to reload when you're controlling a shotgun.' Isn't pointing and shooting enough? I think stuff like that could complicate things, as this controller is made for non-gamers as well, so having so many different methods for different weapons, when people might not even know about them would make the whole thing more complex imo.

So, just because you think 'it's the futre, and it's better' means that you're right? Not everyone has the same mindset as you; I won't mind playing certain games with the set up, ie-starfox,fps,strategy games...but slashing it to attack in fast paced games like sould calibur just doesn't seem right imo.

Now that we know that sensors are going to be used to monitor controller movement, has anyone else wondered how it's going to work, are you going to always have to sit head on to the screen so your in the line of the sensors, what about in multiplayer? All 4 of you are gonna have to sit cramped together in the sensors view? I'm hoping that the sensors will be able to be positioned with a large coverage are, because I rarely sit head on to my tv, and in multiplayer, we all like to sit away from each other(to stop the hitting/distracting...)

So that means every time you want to play the revo, you get to drink loads before hand...I like the way you think CS... :p

Never got past Nibelheim on disc 1 tbh. I just didn't enjoy it.

If you want to carry this on, please PM me, so as not to mess up the forum with your inane ranting against me. Btw, the point you make is complete BS, I don't wanna have to stand in the room slashing around like a moron. Thats all that I mean, 'obvious insecurities' my arse; I am a guy who uses the DDR mat at least once a week, so I don't mind doing stuff in front of people.

Was that an insult aimed at me; sorry, my intelligence level doesn't drop as low as some forum members on here.

It looks pretty; that's about it. I hope Nintendo don't make it a requirement for every game to use their new 'gimmick'. I hope the Zelda and Mario's of the next gen have alternative 'normal' control styles as I think standing and slashing the pad or other strange things would look extremelly stupid to anyone watching, plus, after extended use, things like flicking your wrist could prove damaging to the wrist bone... not impressed; initial feeling was 'cool' then I read the detailed report....'oh noes....'

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Can't we just have a conventional Zelda? I sure as hell hope every game doesn't use it.......

Official Nintendo Revolution Controller Shots (56k)
masaki86 replied to Cubechris's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Do you think for certain games that don't reguire the analogue stick) you'll be able to turn the dpad part of the controller on its side(so it resembles a nes controller) thus making the second set of a and b buttons a lot more accessible? edit-Just watched the video, and tbh, I'm not totally convinced-seems exceptionally gimmicky(more so than the DS's touch screen). I hope every game doesn't require these hacking/slashing/moving of controller in relation to the sensors. Not my sort of thing tbh. -
I have really got back into my Dreamcast as of late; I have some great memories with it-especially games like Shenmue(I and II) and Skies of Arcadia. No doubt there are many DC fans on this site, so here's the question-what game do you find yourself going back to on the DC for a laff with friends/family, and what games holds your fondest memory. Of late, I have been going back to Bomberman Online, and playing 4-Player with my mom and 2 sisters. It's great getting the whole family round the TV, brings back those memories of when we did it week in week out when we were all that bit younger and naive. Shenmue has to be the game which I'll always remember. Brilliant is one word that describes it. The OST has to be one of the best in a game, and it was just a joy to play, with the QTE and the brilliant fighting system-plus the story wasn't half bad either.

Hehe; I'm going to bed, so I'm either gonna be extremely happy or sad tomorrow morning!! Plus, I'll be missing all the chit chat right after, but I think things might move to fast at that point to actually have a decent conversation about things!

I was a bit worried reading the message at first, especially when it said 'the site will be up very soon'; luckily, all my fears were gone when I got here. Great stuff R-E team; Keep up the great work!!
