  1. Game ratings should be /10. 1, 2, 3 etc... like Edge do it. IMO.
  2. I really don't want to know, but expect to find out in a spoiler.
  3. Ok Galaxy 1 had 42 galaxies, so looks to be the same this time around.
  4. WTF is that Lost 'joke'? Meh, was this really necessary? Is that about the same as Galaxy 1? Sounds interesting Excellent, I loved the Mario 64 Bowser levels.
  5. This sounds great. I wonder if they'll consider making a Galaxy 3 if this sells well. The platform and engine is too good to just give up.
  6. Totally agree. Very presumptious reviews which mostly tell you very little about the actual game, but their ratings can for the most part be trusted.
  7. 10 from Edge, impressive, wasn't expecting that. No need for all this 78% or 83.59%, when you have a perfect rating system like that.
  8. I still think Mario's planet looks clumsy compared to the Observatory from Galaxy 1. I've just started playing it again, and the design that went into the observatory really is quite impressive. Little touches like the floor panels lighting up with every grand star collected, with energy pipes leading to the different domes.... - lovely. Mario's planet just looks like a joke in comparison, and not very nice to look at. We'll see...
  9. Personally I don't care about Metroid, I just really hope they don't rush and bring out a half-arsed Zelda. Sucks for Metroid fans though, at least there's Galaxy 2 to enjoy in the mean time. This year always seemed a little too cramped IMO
  10. I know we've discussed this before, but to bring it up again.... We're going from the cool rotating/zooming 3D solar system view in Galaxy 1 to 2D maps here zzzzzzzzzzzzz
  11. Yes I will be getting one, thanks. Nothing poetic about it. I was merely stating that your idea of a touch-sensitive rear casing was a fanboyish idea, and extremely unlikely to happen, given Apple's previous history on usability. It would be needlessly complicated and basically, quite silly.
  12. Thanks for the links. Those two new videos are awesome, a great selection of vibrant colourful locations and levels. Some of the galaxies look stunning, most do actually. But I HATE that orange luma as part of the logo. Looks totally off.
  13. Apple wouldn't be stupid enough to put a hardware keyboard in there, and people really should use a bit of common sense before spouting the above. This is a company that keeps going on about multitouch and dynamic changeable inputs like on screen keyboards. Nah. Fanboyism.
  14. I'd like it better if the side alluminium was one piece without any broken lines on the side and top, but apart from that, looks nice. The higer (double?) resolution screen is what I'm really looking forward to though.
  15. I wish the text could be translated. It would be interesting to read what the "STORY" box says. Especially since it looks like the game will start with the letter from Peach (pic 1) and then follow with 2D Mario with starbits coming out of the ? blocks. Actually that 2D Mario world looks fantastic from what we can see. The detail and style is amazing, I wish NSMB Wii looked like that. Articles about Galaxy 2 have talked about the journos being sworn to secrecy on big aspects of the storyline, there must still be a lot to reveal...
  16. So Bowser is the baddie again, hardly a surprise but confirmation at least. The hub world actually looks quite fun, if a little small Those 2D levels look interesting. Reminds me of the 'retro' levels from Sunshine, which I personally thought were brilliant.
  17. Everyone in the world knows who Mario is, only the fanboys know who Wario is.
  18. Starfox Wii would be amazing. But then I'm one of the few it seems who really liked Starfox Assault
  19. Forget camera resolution, video formats etc of competitors ... the UI and multitouch implementation of the iPhone is second to none. That's what makes it a pleasure to use. Ok, and the app store.
  20. A lot of mockup designs are generally quite fugly, and that one is definitely no exception. Not only is it a horrible design, that has 'mockup' written all over it, but it's something that Nintendo would never make.
  21. Nintendo 3DS + Zelda reveal. It's going to be a gooooood E3 (...hopefully)
  22. How out of place does that orange Luma look in the logo! Talk about fugly. Sorry graphic designer speaking here. Anyway trailer looks good. Pleased to the see the ball levels return, they were great. And Rock Mario eh, looks cool. Oddly enough I prefered the MIDI theme music from the first trailer, as opposed to this orchestrated version but oh well. To be fair, I think that was a fairly obvious assumption. I'm really pleased though about the news that there'll be things to do on it and that it will change as the game goes on. The map screen is basically like an observatory display from Galaxy 1.
  23. Thicker skin required. It was just a bit of playful banter, nothing more.
  24. The same could be said of the entertainment show itself
  25. Good of you to admit that, the former anyway! It was fairly obvious.
