  1. Interesting is right. No subtitle seems a bit of a strange idea, but fair enough. Of course they may not have decided on a subtitle yet. The lack of obvious 'dungeons'/bosses will make a refreshing change I'd say. Fewer boundaries is a change I'd quite like to see. The bow mechanic and drawing symbols in doors was always pretty likely. I'm sure most of control methods from Wii sports resort will make an appearance (Swordplay, flying, archery etc) It'll be brilliant to finally see some sort of visuals since the teaser. In game footage could look like anything, we've no idea.
  2. Cool cheers. I assume it's more than Galaxy 1's do everything again with a different character.
  3. Without revealing any spoilers please, is there lots to do after the first 120 stars? As in unique challenges or same old same old with a small twist? Please be vague and non-spoilery in your reply, cheers.
  4. I love the wormhole effect going to the world map and the grand world map, as well as the background music, but still not totally convinced about the mini-hub/map screen. Tales, that's a problem with your wii remote I would say. It worked perfectly for me, never didn't register a switch when I was mid-jump. Brilliant galaxy, so simple, tough but fun.
  5. Loving it. Just got to world 3 so will slow down now. Music isn't quite as amazing so far IMO it's brilliant obviously but not as many memorable tunes as Galaxy 1 so far which is a shame. Loving the old-school Yoshi sound effect when you jump on his back, awesome, shame it's not louder. The cloud level in world 1 was gorgeous. Flipswitch galaxy was awesome, loved the concept, and the difficulty. Ok it's easier with the long jump but more fun the normal way. A Dizzy bee type large scale level would be nice sometime soon though.
  6. I'll be walking into Game on Friday and getting a copy. Seemples.
  7. Don't be so pedantic, I meant Minish Cap or any other 2D Zelda before it. And no, I'm not forgetting that games can be simplified without sacrificing depth. I know what simplifying means thank you very much.
  8. No, but Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were compared to Minish Cap. Those two games, as much as I love the latter, are pretty much Zelda: Lite. Stripped of many aspects that makes Zelda, Zelda, to satisfy a larger, more casual audience. Who knows if the same will happen to Zelda Wii, but Miyamoto's comments about previous Zelda's being too complicated and the need to simplify this new one doesn't fill me with confidence. Who knows, I hope not.
  9. I really hope you're right as well. Re Galaxy, I don't, no. Not played Galaxy 2 so can't judge. Not too sure on the need for a Hint TV, and the mini-hub world seems a little silly and pointless. Back to Zelda, with Aonuma's big hint about flying being the mechanism for travel in Zelda Wii, what do people think it'll be? Plane, bird/dragon, wings? I's actually say some sort of primitive (and magical obv) plane/glider is most likely. One that can be customised and get new abilities as the game goes on. Be interesting to see what they do...
  10. I'm not trying to complain, all I said in my original point was that I think this new Zelda would be dumbed down, simplified, and made more accessible, in keeping with what they've been doing with other Nintendo games. Hopefully Zelda Wii will be the exception.
  11. Flicking the Wii remote to do a mid-air jump, just in case your first jump wasn't accurate enough. The guides at the start of world 1 telling you how to do every level.
  12. Then cut out the 'I'm right, you're wrong' condescending attitude. That's total bollocks, it was obvious to all that Mario Kart Wii was dumbed down to appeal to the masses that the Wii itself primarily caters for. Every review commented on it, most gamers who've played agree. Zelda DS games are basically dumbed down Zelda games, Zelda Lite. Accessible Zelda.
  13. Please stop talking like you are the expert on all things Nintendo and whatever you say is fact and cannot be disputed. Your tone is extremely condescending. Mario Kart Wii was dumbed down, simple reason, the power slider, they took away a brilliant technique that required a fair amount of skill to pull off well, and replaced it with, well, nothing, to achieve the same effect. The unbelievable rubber-banding and randomness associated with where you placed in a race meant skill played very little part in the game, and it was more down to luck, reducing it to more of a party game. You state that a level-based Zelda won't happen. I agree, it's very unlikely, but who knows, given they've already done one level-based game. I was conveying a fear of mine, that the series will be dumbed down, if Miyamoto's comments about 'simplifying' the way you play Zelda means anything... - It was just a thought.
  14. Mario Kart Wii was incredibly dumbed down. I can't see Nintendo going with the 'big world... explore what you want' route for Zelda. I hope they do, but if anything they have a recent history of doing the opposite, making games more accessible, ie. map screens and levels. Could we see a Zelda Four Swords Adventures type game with levels and chapters?
  15. I really think they're going to dumb Zelda down. Like they dumbed Mario Kart and NSMB
  16. Speak for yourself, I loved Starfox Adventures. Fantastic game, with a few puzzles in particular that makes even the ones in Zelda look simple and dull.
  17. Great review guys, thanks for that. Also good to see /10 scores are preferred on this site, rather than the ridiculous percentage scores which wind me up for some reason.
  18. Personally I just care about Zelda. Keeping my fingers crossed it'll be awesome and not totally dumbed down like I worry it may be. Apart from that, a 3DS introduction is likely, maybe 1 or 2 other big 1st party games, and lots of 3rd party games, and that's about it.
  19. Hopefully Zelda Wii will surpass both OOT and SMG2. Just played Buoy Base from Galaxy 1, great little level, with EPIC music, one of my favourite tracks from the game.
  20. It's a big shame they didn't mix the Sky Station part and the Gusty garden together in the same track like in the trailer.
  21. If it's ONLY filled with levels similar to the high speed daytime ones from Sonic Unleashed, cool.
  22. Great thanks, nice track. Glad to hear the positive view on the map screen. I quite liked the 3D solar system type view you could spin around etc in Galaxy 1 but oh well. Didn't think it was possible for a Mario game to better Galaxy 1 but it's quite remarkable how this seems to have done it.
  23. Any idea if the trailer music is used for one of the galaxy's themes? Good to hear you guys are enjoying it. Can't wait to get a copy. Map screen any good?
  24. Quick question... which galaxy theme uses the music from the trailers? I'd like to listen to that galaxy track on youtube, without going through each of them and getting spoiled.
