  1. Both are excellent and one does things better than the other, but in my opinion, Galaxy 1 is a better game. The quantity over quality nature of the galaxies in Galaxy 2, plus poorer soundtrack and lack of 'magic' (?) that Galaxy 1 provided means personally I definitely preferred the original. Mainly because of the galaxies themselves though. I found a lot of them to be quite poor in Galaxy 2.
  2. Super Mario Galaxy 3 for the time being, after that, who knows...
  3. I'm not saying the controls are going to be awful, stop getting so defensive about everything. I'm saying that given the simplicity of using TP's bow and arrow, going to a system that's more complicated to achieve the same result may be counter-productive in the long run. Obviously who knows how it will turn out, but for me personally, it's a slight worry. Hopefully gimmicks won't get in the way of gaming and my fears won't end up being justified.
  4. There's a difference between 'bad controls with issues' and 'works fine but is annoying and a hassle'
  5. Archery in TP on the Wii was fast, accurate and effective. Nintendo talk about not letting technology get in the way of the gaming experience, I just worry that's exactly what's going to happen with archery in SS.
  6. Finished the game last night with 108ish stars. Loved it so far, amazing game, although I'm not convinced it's better than Galaxy 1. Some things are, some things aren't IMO.
  7. Climbing out the water at the end of Slimey Spring galaxy to a secluded part, with a sunset and birds chirping was pretty special.
  8. They'll fix the design flaw in iPhone 5 and tout it as a magical new feature
  9. And the fact that if you have a bumper on the phone, it won't fit in the dock. D'oh.
  10. Blown out of proportion? Hardly. It's a huge design flaw and is being treated as such. Luckily for Apple, the rest of the phone is excellent.
  11. I think the vast majority of them suffer from the problem. It's sadly not an isolated incident.
  12. Yep mine has the dodgy signal issue too, wonderful. Stunning phone otherwise. Mass product recall/replace or software fix?
  13. Glad to hear the positive review Caris Quick question... I use a PC and a Mac. I have my music, apps etc on my PC desktop, and my photos and videos on my Macbook. Is it possible to use my PC to sync most of my stuff, then plug it into my Macbook and sync only my photos and videos and nothing else? Cheers in advance..
  14. Anyone in London who's been, know if Regent Street is still likely to be packed in a couple of hours? I'd like to drop in to get a dock, but obviously not if I need to queue!
  15. The underwater level was godawful IMO, the rest of Lylat Wars however, was gaming perfection. Can't wait. Although OOT is on top in terms of 3DS hype I reckon
  16. Just got back. O2 store opened at 10, so got there at 8.15. Was 10th in the queue that eventually stretched to about 100 people. Got a 32GB. Chuffed. Now to see if all these signal/antenna problems and/or yellowish patches are on it! :P Hope everyone who wanted one this morning got one.
  17. Ditto to the words of good luck. I expect full reports tomorrow night One quick question... if I buy an iPhone from an O2 store and it turns out to be faulty (there have been reports!), can I exchange it for a new one at an Apple store genius bar? Or do I have to have bought it at the apple store? I'm pretty sure it's the former but just wanted to double check.
  18. Went into the shop this afternoon, the girl behind the desk said she'd just booked the stock in and that they had 30 32GBs. Seems about right to me.
  19. I had considered going to Regent Street, but I missed the reservation window and can imagine it'll be carnage there. My small local O2 store opens at 10am, and I've been told they have 30 32GB models in stock, so I'm hoping arriving at 7.30am, I should be ok?
  20. My O2 store near me opens at 10 and I'm getting there at 8 just to be sure. I'd say go with 8. What's an extra half hour, really?
  21. I've heard a lot about these 'green stars' but for those who haven't gotten that far could I ask people continue to use spoiler tags when discussing them? Cheers all.
  22. I find Nintendo's belief that 'tilting the remote to control an on-screen cursor' is in any way better than simply aiming and pointing to a point on the screen jaw droppingly ridiculous. It took Shigsy about 10 tries to hit a bug on the wall, when simply pointing to the screen would have achived the same result in 1 simple hit.
  23. Nah world 5 is rubbish. The last level was the icing on the cake. Pretty poor imo. The first couple from world 6 looked good though. I'm also not sold on the 'more galaxies, but with less stars each' concept of this game. The great thing about the original as I mentioned above, was that each galaxy was very creative and felt really polished, you got to know it quite well. This game seems to have gone for quantity, and you manage to breeze through them without really giving them much though. Add to that the fact that some of the later galaxies really are very uninspiring and lazy, and I'm not quite sure they got the mix right personally, but hey ho, still loving it.
