  1. I've not finished the game yet, I take it I shouldn't look?
  2. Agreed, the handheld format is perfect and better suited, but it's hard to say no to a HD Animal Crossing game.
  3. Potentially tackling the dungeons in any order will be great but I wonder if there will be some kind of natural order that will be hinted at somehow in-game. The hammer for instance would seem to be item of use for the relatively easy dungeon we saw in the months before E3.
  4. Does look like they're trying new things with this game, which is to be applauded. The dungeon items in a 'very important shop' is quite interesting, does seem to point to completely re-thought gameplay. I also wonder if it means you can tackle the dungeons in whatever order you want, as long as you 'borrow' (?) the right gear first? I guess it's a bit easier to understand spare arrows and bombs lying around the place than infinite ammo that appears out of nowhere (ok, magic). But fair point I suppose, can see both sides.
  5. Haven't really seen any evidence of a 'companion' type character yet. I wonder if Nintendo will do away with one this time around? Though I find it hard to believe they won't have someone stopping gameplay every two minutes having to explain every little thing. It looks like bombs, arrows will be infinite and rely instead on the ever-recharging magic metre. A further dumbing down of the series or a clever mechanism for using items?
  6. Sad that it runs out at the end of 2014 but I assume Nintendo will have a Wii U Animal Crossing game lined up to take it's place in or around 2015.
  7. Looks a lot better than I first thought. I liked the trippy walking through cracks in the wall mechanic to access the various worlds. Could have done with the mirror sound effect though.
  8. Animal Crossing looks amazing in HD. The app works really well, love importing my best pics into albums and the way you can tweet about certain villagers is great. Still as Serebii says quite limited, there's loads of functionality that would improve it but a great start! I wish that once you input your dream address it would populate the plaza with all your villagers and keep them there permanently.
  9. Who needs to have Link able to control the wind, the whole point of the game, when you have a magic sail that bypasses it altogether. Dunno, just seems like they've bent too far backwards. Just another way of hand-holding.
  10. I dunno, it seems to take away a big aspect of the original game. I never had a problem changing the direction of the wind and it sounds like it'll be even faster to do so now. Just seems like Nintendo are dumbing things down to appeal to the whiners and simpletons, once again.
  11. I hope it comes quite late in the game.
  12. It better get a 10 in EDGE. Cause if it doesn't... *shakes fist menacingly*
  13. Come on lighten up, it's just a bit of fun. We all still love Nintendo.
  14. Looking forward to it, more details on Zelda ALBW and Mario 3D World would be good.
  15. Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Every day without fail for the last 50, up to about 80 hours now. My first AC game. Pikmin 3: Beautiful masterpiece Mario & Luigi: Dream Team: I haven't played in a couple of weeks, I find it very slow and boring, and I never thought I'd say that about a first party Nintendo game. Will probably finish it at some point.
  16. It looks a bit clunky and meh. Momentum-halting slow platforming is painful to watch.
  17. I planted a perfect apple on day 2 I believe it was. Never saw the tree, I assume someone must have moved in on top of it or something. Gutted, as not seen another perfect fruit since.
  18. Not when they're attached to Zelda games
  19. - Unified account system - Miiverse - An OS UI that isn't ugly as *%#* - A higher screen resolution (can't/won't happen I know but the current one is painful) I agree with this. I also think there's evidence in the lazy overworlds in recent Zeldas as well. Skyward Sword, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks all had a bunch of closed off 'levels' and A Link Between Worlds is using the same overworld as ALTTP etc. I find it quite tough to imagine Nintendo making a traditional 'complex' overworld these days.
  20. I found the endless waffle from Redd every time you want to buy a cookie too tedious to last longer than 4 or 5 buys. I got 1,200,000 worth of turnips today, fingers crossed.
  21. Nice '2' lamp in the store today via Spotpass.
  22. The second boss is a bit scary looking!! Great design/animation.
