  1. Finished it last night, absolutely spectacular game, was genuinely gutted when it was over. I thought the ending was perfectly fine although appreciate I only saw the updated one. It was a little grim (even with nearly max war assets) but still enjoyable. The Earth mission was incredible, the music, the visuals, the chaotic firefights, everything was perfect. I'm really hoping they re-release the whole trilogy on PS4/Xbone with all the DLC included, so I can play the first two. Fingers crossed... Anyway, one of my favourite games ever
  2. Absolutely loving this game, I can't keep away, and it's been an amazing 40-50 hours. I'm really f**ked off though, I've got about 2800 Effective military strength, and was really hoping to get it above 3100 for the "best" ending (I'd read about that before starting). Trouble is I've done all the side missions, and gotten most of the assets from the galaxy map, and can't see any other way of getting any extra assets before Cerberus HQ.
  3. Not every gamer is into headsets and voice chat co-ordination. I wouldn't touch that kind of thing. If I played this online, I'd rather do it without the distraction of voice chat, hence my suggestion of an on/off option.
  4. This looks pretty fun but again seems better suited for the 3DS, just like Kirby and to a slightly lesser extent, Captain Toad.
  5. I'd prefer no voice chat personally, would be too distracting. Then again the option of having it on or off seems a good compromise.
  6. The Forest Haven is my favourite area of this game. Simply stunning and the music is great too. The bit where you're using the deku buds to get to the very top of the Deku Tree is fantastic. The height you climb is amazing when you're at the top and look down. Fantastic sense of scale that definitely didn't exist in Skyward Sword. I'm hoping for more areas like this in Zelda U, full of magic and life. The ones in Skyward Sword on the other hand felt pretty barren and soul-less in contrast.
  7. I know what would be perfect in a thread like this, bitching about Mario Kart 8's online mode.
  8. Still no clue as to when it'll release in Europe?
  9. Given up on the GP, I'm finding the game so much more enjoyable with single player VS mode, items off. That and the time trials. The item balance has really ruined traditional Mario Kart for me. As has the hopeless battle mode vs CPU characters you don't care about.
  10. I'm about 12 hours in and absolutely loving this game. I'm sort of gutted that I haven't been through the first two but to be fair I know all about the ending and the various choices etc... I'm half tempted to stop playing, buy a second hand 360 for 50 quid off eBay, just to play the first two... Can you transfer Shep's from 360 to Wii U?
  11. I still think this game would make more sense on the 3DS, in a pick up and play a couple of levels sort of way. Also the levels aren't that much shorter than 3D World's, especially if you collect all the gems each will probably take you a few minutes.
  12. Sounds good I'll PM you shortly...
  13. Nice little analysis vid from Gamexplain. I can't wait for this game! I can't imagine there'll only be 20 levels though, if it's a full priced retail game it will have to be comparable to Mario 3D World's 80 or so, surely?
  14. Interesting, thanks! Anyone want to buy my copy for say £15 + free postage?
  15. I bought a retail copy of this game and have gotten quite far into it but now I'm wishing I'd bought a digital copy instead so I can always have it on my 3DS for quick games every so often. Is it possible to copy over all my progress from the cartridge to the eshop copy? Then I can just sell the retail version.
  16. There are too many blue shells in this game. And they all tend to show up about 20 seconds before the finish line at 150cc, in every race or two. It's ridiculous. If Nintendo are set on continuing with this ludicrous item at least limit it to multiplayer, not single player GP. I lost count how many first place finishes I gave up at the last second this evening. Most games reward skill, not Mario Kart it seems.
  17. I know, my point was someone tell the guy in the video that there will be more content to the game after he started mouthing off about how it isn't worth "60 bucks".
  18. Someone tell this guy the full release will have more content than what he played in the demo
  19. The music in this game really is excellent, even if it's taken me a couple of weeks to realise! I especially like Mario Stadium, Mario Circuit, Electrodome, Sweet Sweet Canyon, Mount Wario (+ what an amazing course), Cloudtop Cruise, and the two Rainbow Roads. Love the electric guitar parts especially.
  20. When Miyamoto says that he wasn't interested in making Starfox Wii like it's predecessors just with updated graphics... I don't want gimmicky Starfox. Just give your core fanbase an action packed, fast paced traditional game with gorgeous visuals. He should feel free to experiment with other franchises, Starfox just doesn't seem the right one to mess with. Though obviously I'll wait before judging fully.
  21. I can easily understand the series getting stale for some people. X was my first Pokemon game and I really enjoyed it but in the last couple of gyms I was avoiding as many battles as possible and it was all getting a bit repetitive. Nice game though.
  22. Just gives you two extra coins and a slight speed boost. I like the coin item. Gives a nice retro feel from the glorious SNES days.
  23. More SNES/GBA style courses please, such as the gorgeous Mario Circuit: Much prefer the tracks where it's all about driving and navigating tight corners than gimmicks.
